Thanks vibh bhaiya, I really want to say that since the day I started following you, my entire perspective towards studies and so many other things has changed significantly. Previously on I was Blindfoldedly sprinting towards things that really were way outta my reach without knowing the real crux of it. I really don't completely know what has actually changed in me but I really have started looking at things pretty differently.
Maybe that's your maturity, modesty and rawness that may have sparked these changes in me.
And I really am so so so thankful to you 'bout this.

Man I loved this vid, like I'm currently preparing for iat this yr which I'll give in june and I'm hoping for getting into IISC, so thank you so much for this information cause wherever I go online it's more ABT how IISC is research heaven in India and how it's ug program is wonderful, but I never found real info on how things work there and this video just did that for me, thank you so much for the video, and if I get into IISC then I'll surely inform u, or for the matter of fact any top research college 👍😁
I feel you, I was in the same shoes 6 years ago when I had to make that call to join IISc. I had told myself I am not going to make anyone else go through that “lack of accurate information” situation. I am glad I could help you. I wish more students from IISc shared their experiences and made good content for prospective students.

Im interested in neuroscience and bioengineering and i was really confused on what to choose.IISC has made so many findings in neuroengineering and i wish there was more info on the undergraduate programs at IISC.A huge thanks to you for making this video!,Now i have a clue on how iisc really works!!

Hey Vibhanshu really well presented man .Just curious about a few things how is the quizzing culture at IISc I know kids in engg and B Schools who literally quiz almost every week but I have never sort of seen IISc kids at B Quizzes or any other prominent quiz for that matter .How is the sporting culture apart from Ultimate frisbee what sort of games do kids play

you said viraj sir was very good prof. but in my college [ avg private clg ] , viraj sir had taken c prog course for first sem of btech, many students hated him for his unique way of teaching, all students expected normal theory rather than practical approach. in my 4years of btech viraj sir was the best prof.

I had a small question about hostels culture . How is the hostel life at IISc is it like IITs or is it dull where people are highly studious and dont enjoy things and also how is students life aside from academics likes fest and clubs etc
Its decently fun, would never use dull as a word that even remotely describes it.
Like many IITs , do iisc Bengaluru also provides a scholarship in the form of institute assistantship for the PhD scholars who got through interview at IISC based on top 10 NIRF and excellent academic performance but doesn't have a valid GATE score or NET/JRF nor any funding from agencies?

Bro i have a question that if we do BS form iisc, after graduating we can do direct MS and PHD from iisc or we have to write exam NET or JRF. because during phd we get stipend around 30k will will be enough somehow and we should not worry about placement. and we also have many option doing intern and many thing. My family condtion is not good but i am interested to research. Please guide me.
You can do direct MS for 1 year without writing any exams. Now, If you have an 8+ CGPA, you can directly sit for a Ph.D. interview. You don't need to write NET/GATE etc. If you have a CGPA of less than 8, you need to write one of the exams and get enough rank.

Its just like, I just finished up with my jee mains exam today & just rollinn around youtube, to get some contexts about other options as well, so I decided to appear in IAT 2023 exams, which is basically a new entrance parameter for IISc UG.
But Now, by ur video, I'm thinking upon ur words and co-relate it with my situationships.....
I visited ur channel and saw some other videos too.. and it just feels to me like, you r are a creative person,,. but during your college years, you put out only some videos, and I think that is due to the course load at IISc and lack of spare times, to explore much (or there might be any other reason).
A kiddo who has just done with his 12th and JEE xams, and trying to explore some new dimensions and interests, should have some spare times to look forward.
And I think IISc lacks in this, other premier institutes in India, have some room of doing so...
So, I have decided to leave IAT and continue with Adv, and IPMAT as well..
If anyone has read this much, kudos.!!

I would not say that IISc offers less free time than other premiere institutes in the country, I feel there's ample free time to (just as much as any IIT) to do the things you like. As for why I didn't upload much, it was not because I didn't have time but more because there were so many things I wanted to do and I choose to do them alongside (sometimes instead) filmmaking (like ultimate frisbee, goofing around with friends, parties, etc) because (to me atleast) they were an important part of the true Indian college experience

Could you suggest something if one gets BSMS from IISER, will it be somewhat equivalent to the degree at IISc, coz both aim for research only, and particularly research would't put food on your tables 'soon'. Yes, it is equivalent to IISc. IISc's main focus isn't even undergrad, but IISERs' is.

I goofed around and used to speak english as a kid when I would talk to myself (maybe that helped, maybe that didn't). I think your language skills are a function of the kind of media you consume: the books you read, the movies & shows you watch, the songs you listen to, etc. My tip would just be go deep dive and fun with it: goof around, talk in English with yourself (if you wanna learn the language, otherwise I don't see a point in it, also on a side note, talking to yourself can really help figure your own thoughts out and enjoy your company but if you do it in front of people they will think you are mad, so don't lol), with your friends, family, etc and don't be afraid to make a fool out yourself (because you will and that's ok). Leaving your ego out of the main door is the first step to learning. Finally, looking back I don't really know when and how English became my first language but it just happened and this is the only explanation I can think of in hindsight, cheers!

Hi vibh bhaiya, I am currently in class 12 and im really interested in research but the admission cut off for mains and advanced is 770 AIR and it doesn't seem possible considering my academic performance. I just wanted to ask how you got admission in iisc? And one relative of mine told me that he was getting a seat in iisc at 11,000 rank. Is that possible? I'm very confused so it would be really helpful if you could guide me on this!!

As much I remember obc(f) maybe had 10800 cutoff followed by sc and st. It is only possible in this case otherwise no.
Bro the cutoff of bsc is not that high but the btech cutoff is skyrocket like it also feel impossible for me to come in rank 754 for obc and general in jee advance but in IAT exam it's also feel hard to get iisc fir bsc course and I am assuming in this year the btech cutoff will close to rank 500 in advance
