It is not BSc but a BS
BS is a prestigious course of 4 year duration. Obviously BSc is just 3 years. No IISc/IIT offers BSc yaar everyone of them offers a 4 years BS/BTech or integrated 5 years MS/MTech. See for example, BSc is offered to those who drop out after 3rd year due to any reason from IIT Bombay while pursuing BS/BTech.

Most of the people in IISc has either left IIT for it or came from IIT for further studies.
