I've been getting a lot of DMs on insta about stuff related to IISc, and while I try my best to reply to as many of you as possible sometimes it is just not feasible given the academic schedule at IISc and the sheer number of queries (add to that the fact that queries get repetitive after a while). So I recommend going over to the official IISc UG Website (comes up after a simple google search) to get your issues resolved about cut-offs, various BS Majors, etc.
If its something that is not addressed on the website (could be a personal issue or anything along the same lines) then feel free to reach out to me through email (vibhanshugolia2000@gmail.com) or on Instagram (@why_bhanshu), I try to allocate some time every week to reply to as many people as possible.
Lastly, please don't ask me "How did you study to get into IISc?", I don't think I have any secret mantra to give you that will be of help.

Dude , today(30th April) was the last day to apply for IISc and due to some reasons I couldn't fill the form. I thought I messed up big this time. And I randomly searched on TH-cam about IISc and the second video was yours. It made me think that , I literally messed up. But but hopefully , I checked website properly and found out that the applications are extended. I'm happy. The video you shared, capturing your first 2 yrs of your life there with some amazing people, is indeed beautiful.

Academics are new, very hectic and somewhat tough. Students are a mixed bag, some coool nerds and some dry nerds. Teachers are generally quite good, some you'll love, some you'll just have to tolerate.

Hey I'm taking neet this year and if all goes well..do I make an eligible candidate for admissions in iisc considering that I couldn't fill the application form(I didn't know about that just came to know..I'm extremely stupid) have I messed up? I mean is there any way I can still be in running for admission in iisc?
I'm facing the same situation but I'm PCMC student Ididn't know there's an application to fill so I called them but they didn't give information accurately what they said was " you should upload your results " so I'm very confused so if you come to know more about it Clearly please inform me .
Though there is no formal way to take admission if you didn't apply, you might want to contact IISc at the phone numbers/emails given at the website

Hey not sure if you’ll see this but I’m absolutely in love with physics and want to spend the rest of my life making it my career. I really really want to get into iisc bangalore. I’m a jee aspirant btw and currently not doing that well in my coaching exams. (I’m in 12th), could you suggest something? Because I would require a top rank in jee mains to get into iisc (general), just how do I do it? I didn’t take coaching in 11th so I’m basically preparing for this behemoth exam in a just a couple months. First attempt is in about 6 months so yeah getting all the nerves right now :/ Ik I’m a smart kid but its kind of hard to believe in myself sometimes
Just an advice.. it's upto you if you follow it or not.
As someone who ruined my 11th standard.. by experience I'm telling you this...if you can afford pw coaching .. go for dropper batch (prayas) there is 1.0 , 2.0 and 3.0 (gonna start in few days) as you say you're a smart kid.. you can actually complete the two years syllabus within these 6 months with the help of that batch.. the time table is set according to the jee first phase.. you can complete both 11th and 12th by that time

Hey Rounit, you can choose among Physics, Maths, Material Science, Chemistry, Biology and Earth Science as your Major after 3rd sem

how your english is sooooo fluent....
I goofed around and used to speak english as a kid when I would talk to myself (maybe that helped, maybe that didn't). I think your language skills are a function of the kind of media you consume: the books you read, the movies & shows you watch, the songs you listen to, etc. My tip would just be go deep dive and fun with it: goof around, talk in English with yourself (if you wanna learn the language, otherwise I don't see a point in it, also on a side note, talking to yourself can really help figure your own thoughts out and enjoy your company but if you do it in front of people they will think you are mad, so don't lol), with your friends, family, etc and don't be afraid to make a fool out yourself (because you will and that's ok). Leaving your ego out of the main door is the first step to learning. Finally, looking back I don't really know when and how English became my first language but it just happened and this is the only explanation I can think of in hindsight, cheers!

Last I remember IISc does take in students based solely on Jee Mains rank for the BS Program (not sure about the newly intoduced B.tech program) but I would suggest you check the website.

You can take admission through jee mains, jee advanced, kvpy and neet
Jee Advance , kvpy ,neet only if you are in general category, otherwise jee mains also.
