    excekkebt work on this vise. good call and work on the canyons and the removal of them. Dont care for the putty fix on the casting holes, your skill set welding on this kind of steel is obviously good. Use it instead of putty. You will be more proud of it when no one can even find it... Those thrust bearings... Never saw these yet but will start looking around for a source. Very good place to use them as well. Many thanks. Learned a good bit with my first look at your channel. Keep it up!!

    The fact that you got the invoice of the vise or whatever the document is makes it somehow more interesting and intriguing to see what the final result is going to be. I very much enjoyed watching the video. Very good job man. Warm regards from Mexico.

    Questa morsa mi è costata 200€ da un antiquario, ma ci ho visto delle potenzialità, la slitta era precisa nonostante fosse rimasta per decenni sotto la pioggia, così l'ho comprata.😁

    Very nice indeed. The only thing I would have done differently is instead of using body filler, I would have welded all the holes and imperfections. Than grind them over and smooth them out before painting over them. But otherwise nice project. Thumbs Up!

      Thank you my friend, I did not fill the imperfections by welding because I would have overheated and created internal stresses on this very old steel, I filled very slowly just the two front holes and that's it. Thank you very much, bye.

    Very nice.... but.. this is how not to restore a vice..., with car putty..., you should had use the welder all over the porous surface to keep that vice original as possible. 🤷‍♂️

    • @AsitShouldBe
      @AsitShouldBe  ปีที่แล้ว

      the car putty was used also by manufacturer, look well the video, bye Bro 😁😉
