I've got a ways to go before I can do any of that though haha. The engine was a huge milestone though.
Edelbrock makes a Victor Jr for amc .
So dumb question.. will a TR5 edebbrock fit an AMC 360 .. did you source the aluminum intake for the AMC 360 or will it also fit a mopar 360??
Pretty sure the dodge and amc motors are different enough that it’s not a bolt on deal, I did read in a forum where a guy modified a dodge tunnel ram intake for an amc, so it’s definitely possible. I installed an amc intake
Amc 360 and mopar are completely different engines no parts 8nterchange except maybe the 2.08 big blk valves
Im sure glad I found your channel because I can't find much on the AMC 360 and maybe you can answer a few questions for me, I have a cj 7 with the 360 in it and It has the full time fwd system in it, im wanting to put locking hubs and a new transfer case in it, I picked up a older twin stick transfer but my question is what transmission can I bolt up to that motor either stay with automatic or stick im not picky. Thanks for any info it would be greatly appreciated, have a Merry Christmas and safe travels.
What t-case did you find? There were a few different cases that could have a twin stick, which will make a difference on what output you need on the transmission. They did make a th400 that mated to the Dana 20, but seem to be hard to find. Your current th00 will only bolt to the quadratrac because of the output. I’ll have to do a little research on what manual transmissions will work, I know there was one that came from factory in front of the Dana 20 just can’t remember off the top of my head. Very nice brother curious on the heads you mentioned replacing the springs with out removing the heads any information on that would help building a 1980 CJ 7 budget at that point where I’d like to do the same bottom end is solid but would like to freshen up the heads any information would help it’s a 304 pretty stock with a decent cam upgrade

Honestly it was a major pain, I ended up pulling the heads because one valve wasn’t sealing. Way easier to just pull the heads, then you can really inspect everything and get it cleaned up good
I just pulled my 360 out of my 1988 Grand Wagoneer and have it ready to be sent to the machine shop. Any tips? Also how much did it cost to get yours machined?
I didn’t do anything to the lower end, so no machine work. Still learning about this engine myself, kind of a practice run with this one then I want to find a 401 and do a full rebuild. If you have any specific questions I might be able to help out. Thanks for watching!
be sure the machine shop is familiar with the AMC motor, the bearing clearances are different than the cheby motors. the clearances need to be adheard to

What is the baffle intake on the stock intake for? Purpose? I do not have one on my 360 Edelbrock intake that was previously installed and running on a previous CJ
Had to look this one up, it prevents excess oil from getting into the pcv, without it you may use excessive oil
@@DaysofPainandVictory It'll burn oil like a mother especially on deceleration without that plate. The real critical part is the back corner where the louvers are, that covers the PCV .
Trying to put on a offroad series Elbrock Card on my 360.
I need a carb adapter plate . This wonky amc Intake has square bore mounting dimensions, but inner spread bore layout
Anyone know a way of getting this on without changing the intake manifold?
