Hey Boomstick Gaming - I'm only just now ready to leave for T. Fradee... but how are you shooting a gun alongside holding the sword? I picked magic and DO have a sword, but I have to swap weapon styles to use one or the other. Is it not that way with gun/sword?
@@TheThornicator You have to spend a few skill points to unlock the gun skill over on the other side of the tree.
Hey Thanks man! I just bought the game and have been watching build videos before I start. Yours looks to be the most fun by far!
Follow this build and do the arena side quest. You will get an amazing legendary longsword which in combination with this build totally wrecks everything. I will change difficulty to hard when I relaunch the game because normal became a cakewalk.

thanks for this build! It was what I wanted to do in the beginning (an assassin who uses poisons and traps), only mine is more of a assassin than a Knight. (I prefer to use the more fast one hand sword, I will take the two hand sword for secondary weapon, when I need some brute force) I wanted to mix with magic, but request too many resources, skill points and mana, and I can't make the best from it.
Great video. Funny this is exactly how I started making my build. But went firearms to get roll and fury them down the sword but before putting points in kick I went to anointed but I’m only level 11 on first playthrough. Like the 2 sword idea.
Got this from PS Plus January offerings. Will be playing soon. This build is seemingly balanced. Not sure I will be able to pull it off exactly but I do plan on building a hybrid as well.

Thank you so much for this video. I now know EXACTLY what build I am going for. Yours! Just a couple of questions: 1. Did you have enough points to get "Fury"? The very top Skill? If so, what exactly is that? Does it add any new animations? 2. Endurance, Agility, and Accuracy. I want to make sure I'm going to be able to wear the sickest heavy armors, weild the best swords, and use the best pistols AND Rifles. Would you happen to have all this calculated out, to give me a suggestion?
I never finished this game. I was looking through my library for something to play. I saw greedfall and remembered this video. Downloaded it again and I'm gonna try this out. I think I'm gonna try a different weapon tho.

I use a mythical knight set up. Full mix of magic armour and long as heavy swords. Put on like 10 bars of armour and just kill everyone like a jade. Build up Q, stasis them and one shot them with a swing.
It feels a lot like a more streamlined Outward. I know that’s a weird comparison, but that’s what I was reminded of.
Devin Mounce it’s not a weird comparison at all. My buddy and I enjoyed Outward and that’s one of our first impressions - a more polished Outward.
I played Technomancer and there’s a lot of improvements in GreedFall.
TheBlurr I am just glad I am not the only one. I love both games, but if I am being honest with myself, outward definitely had my attention far longer! Greedfall is a good game, there are just a few things about it that bug me.
@@theblurr Greedfall is a massive step in the right direction coming off of Technomancer. Especially balancing game mechanics/builds is a leap forward. But Technomancer is my personal favorite. The fighting system is more diverse in my opinion and I just love the KOTOR/Deus Ex "feel" in that game. Can't wait 'till Spiders release their next game. These guys are awesome developers imo and a breath of fresh air in the modern RPG world.

I use elemental phial throw to shed boss's armor, it worked like a charm, only need 3-4 throw of them, or if I'm out of phial, my gun maxed out for armor dmg specifically, to finish, depend on the mood I'll use long blade or one handed blade.
Lol my character is already roughly this class, with a heavier focus on guns, but I use long swords as well, roll, and throws bombs with the entire Technical tree maxed out. This has been my build from the get go, I have not respecced once yet.
What techniques and / or portions do you have on your “cross” and on your second one with RT?

I enjoyed this build idea, but I did enhance it with a bit of Stasis very early on, and bumped that somewhere in the middle enough to get to the stat where it slightly depletes the armor of anything you stasis-locked -- quite useful addition, that
I accidentally discovered the chest exploit, and played this game always having over 1,000 ammo... so at about level 15 there was no ability or attack I could do (besides bomb) that was more effective than spamming my gun

yo this build is so strong, I had to play on extreme cause anything lower was too easy.
How about a conquistador build, they use guns and melee exclusively, no magic, is that a thing that can be done?

Recently started playing this and decided to see if there was any better builds than the one I made and it turns out this is pretty much the EXACT same build I've been using 😂 guess I'm doing something right
I know I'm late to this, but what talents did you go with for this build? I would assume science and maybe intuition to gather ingredients?
I did this build in my first play, but i used heavy two handed weapons, it secondary attack is a heavy one with a good damage and stun, better than the kick. And i think the swinging and attack animation from those weapons are faster than the swords.
How to get that knight armor
Can someone out there tell me how I do or buy the coverings?
Can you try and make a glass cannon build? Extreme amounts of damage, but at the cost of everything else.

What talents do you use / need?
Well, going stasis and greatsword is a lot better because of the damage multiplier on storm. u hit for over a 1000 on each enemy and it is cc

I’m having a serious thought to change my build to be exactly yours bruh, thanks. Started with magic it’s getting a little boring since I’m pretty much invincible shooting my stuff from a distance, I wish to play something more skilled like Geralt play style. Playing on hard btw.

where I can craft potions for weapons? I skilled all but can’t find where to craft these
the potions uses a trap, so you just have to craft traps
Is there friendly fire in this game? Like, are your poison bombs damaging your 2 allies if they're nearby? Or can you just spam them at will without needing to locate friendlies first?
Same with the Longsword AoE.
EDIT: Also, what would be the recommended starting class here? Warrior or Technical?
Changing weapons on the fly was the one thing I wished Darksiders 2 combat system should have had. Maybe the Definitive editions have it, I don't know.
No. The closest to it, is that you can open the equipment menu in combat, if i recall correctly. But still only equip 1 secondarly at a time.
Next video should be great farming exp. spot :)
I would recommend the arena in the taverns. You can repeat the fights and continue to gain EXP.
What about ur skills like lock picking and what not?
you can get a 1 skill from the basic of your doublet, and I've had 3 in lockpick for a while and the random 3 lock crates really aren't worth spending the points. There are always alternatives in quests so I find the basic 1 lockpick enough until; I run out of things to put points into.
Id just shoot faces in this one. Looks fun

What do you have set down in the talent tree? Craftmanship is obvious lol but anything else?
Opposite of that actually! I wouldn't bother w craftsmanship because you can simply use the blacksmiths in town which will be able to craft any upgrade possible.
Where do you get the bombs. I unlocked the skills but I have no bombs?
It's a skill in 'techniques' category if you push LB during combat. You can bind it to a hotkey. Since it's a skill, it doesn't use any materials/items.
Watching you , made me realise just how bad at this game i really am..

Wait you can not just go through the gun tree then dodge then two handed ?
There's a one-way arrow between Dodge and Two-Handed Swords. Means you have to have Two-Handed first to get Dodge. Or the Firearm Alchemical Weapon equivalent.
Did the lack of enemy variety in this game get to you, over time? Or was it mechanically interesting enough to forgive that?
That was my number 1 issue with the game but by no means a deal-breaker.

I just hate that the coat weapons,traps,and phial throw all use the same limited resources.
I really hate how the magic class works. I wish the basic attacks didn't cost any mana. My dream of a pure caster is bout to fly out the window
I feel being a pure mage is basically impossible unless you have extreme patience and just dodge attacks until your mana regens. However, being a battle-mage is an extremely good class set up. You can spam some high damaging magic attacks and use stasis on your enemies all the time and when your mana runs out, just pull out your weapon and play like a warrior.
@@iilustriouspride7130 yeah. So far I pretty much just blast off with spells, use up the rest on my mana on stasis, then use the time to drink a mana pot then keep going. Shits rough
Actually pretty manageable, I don't ever touch a mana potion most fights.
That sounds a little foo forgiving
that sucks usually physical attacks just cost stamina, and magic mana. So everything drains from 1 bar

magic is really sustainable around lvl 20'ish with 3willpower and 4 mental power'ish. after trying every build i ended up on a pure caster build. and aoe fight ends in 5second now though, just use 1 storm and then 2 shadow bursts, first burst takes 70% of their health, second kills all(this is on extreme by the way) some tougher beast enemies might take a little longer, but my mana is no way near depleted after that combo, which is godsent compared to early game magic(ugh)
Katten So basically start a warrior for early to mid game sustained damage then switch to a mage once you have enough points to build a decent mage build.
@@Celestiallev ye, switched to a warrior pretty quick into my run, magic was a pain, but as soon as I was 19 I switched back and I was melting everything on extreme with ease. Also had enough materials to have an endless supply of mana pots aswell if I needed em

Technician because of the bombs
@@birthdaykillahx4 There is no technician talent: Charisma, vigor, craftsmanship, science, lockpicking and intuition.
For me the most important is Vigor by far, craftsmanship can be skipped because you can pay a blacksmith, science is even less needed you can get all your stuff by looting crates over and over(waiting 6 days), lockpicking is not necessary it is just more loot, intuition is useful and charisma is even more useful, finally vigor is what will keep you alive in most fights, the regeneration is very good and you will be able to reach early uniques.
Quick question @Boomstick Gaming: It appears that you have Elemental Coating on your DPS sword and Magic Coating on your Armor damage sword. Should these not be reversed as Elemental Coating is the one that does additional damage to armor not Magic Coating?
I am torn between two handed and one handed weapons because with the roll ability you can roll behind an enemy generate more fury for with faster strikes.
I personally use Two handed to break armor/fight hordes and One handed when the armor is down. Its also faster to land riskless strikes against boss monsters.
One handed weapons are faster, and have a 20% damage bonus against unarmored. Also, the normal fury attack can be chained 3 times, and it deals better damage for single target than the Poison bomb ultimate.
Its a great build, and with that minor tweak there really isn't any type of monster that is a problem for me. + you don't have to choose between both sword types.

I played that about 2 years ago. I really enjoyed the combat system but did not like its overall MMO progression and payment system.

The poison kills me so easy as I don't have quen. God quen is so OP 🤣 don't know if I could Death March without it. What's the best way to no die from poison in greedfall

You lack the heal skill which is ridiculously powerful.

What about talents which ones did you pick?
Talents are pretty much non combat based so they're mostly irrelevant to builds. Only Craft 3 seems to be required to for best weapon customs.
