This man speaks so much truth. When I almost died from the Delta Covid virus a couple of years ago I developed what they’re calling covid long hauler symptoms after recovering from the initial virus itself. One of the ailments that I had to deal with during that time was what they were calling super insomnia. I’d never heard of this terminology and didn’t even know that it existed. I could not sleep at all. I remained wide awake 24 hrs 7 days a week. Got to the point where I had to be rushed to the hospital on several occasions due to extreme exhaustion. I could go on with more detail but the short end of this is that I was given a cabinet full of prescriptions ranging from powerful antipsychotic meds to sleep meds. Any one of these medications they had me on if taken incorrectly could have lethal consequences. I only got better through time and my body getting into a state of calmness and clarity and stopped taking the meds once my body could function without them. I was on medical leave from work for 7 months and when I did finally go back to work I was on light desk duty for another 5 months. It’s now been more than a couple of years but I’m doing much better. Sleep is very important for all our bodily functions as you all know. I was only able to achieve better sleep after I was able to get my body to a more stable mind, body, and soul. If any one of these is off you’ll be off.

“Virus” is a vibration, not a pathogen. This is why you became better when you became calm and left the drugs behind… “Virus” is a self creation, it has no relevance in health and healing. Like Sadhguru says, the medical system… “it’s a business.”

Actually I found your share very insightful, I think almost the exact same thing happened to me, but I did catch Covid at the very beginning, not knowing what it was and when they could test for it, it was positive for my mom and dad, but I couldn’t get in to be tested until the following week and at that point the three months time had passed… So it became an unconfirmed case, I suffered many lung infection, and I don’t know how I would’ve got thru COVID w/o Sadhguru.

I don't want to sleep because life is short, but if I don't sleep, my life will be shorter.
My sleep pattern is roughly like; monday 8 hrs sleep, Tuesday 6 hours sleep, Wednesday 5 hrs sleep, Thursday 8 hrs sleep again because the body is tired. My mom was a clerk in a movie theater first 10 years of my life and we'd go home at 10 pm, as a kid my body clock was shattered.

I had insomnia long time.. it's really not fun and i feel sorry for those who suffer the same.
For me at some point i cured. I don't know why. I still wake up easily if i hear noises in the night, but the main problem was the alergy i suffered from..
After long research i finally found the cause and also the cure...
Now i can fall asleep pretty easily.
And also i found sometimes it's because u might live in the wrong place for u.
Something tells u to go away.
Sometimes it also was caused by air in the night that went through the room...
It's also caused if u don't work hard enough or do too little physical stuff...
For me the main cause was the alergy that didn't let me sleep, but i realised this years later..
    Now thanks god i'm fine.
Sometimes i still have difficulties with falling asleep, but it's so much easier...

If you can't sleep well, in most cases it's just because you don't exercise enough and/or you consume too much caffeine.
A lot of people are hyper sensitive to caffeine without knowing it so for them even a single cup of green tea in the morning will ruin the quality of their sleep.
Try quitting caffeine entirely for a couple weeks and walking at least one hour/day every day. This should solve insomnia for most people.

    • @Ellael98
      @Ellael98 ปีที่แล้ว +1

BS, insomnia is driven by anxiety! SLEEP anxiety! I exercise daily, eat a 'healthy' vegan diet, work 8-9 hours daily, meet friends etc and still can’t sleep sometimes

    • @solarex8160
      @solarex8160 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@Ellael98 Sounds like your activity level is a little over the top. Perhaps that's what's stressing you out? Maybe try to slow down a bit, it might help. Do you consume caffeine? What kind of exercise do you do? If it's running or anything other that's equally stressful for your body, no wonder you can't sleep. Try walking instead.

@@Ellael98cafeine does not make you calm. It makes your mind quicker and fuller of activity. If your mind is bothering you at bedtime, it may mean too many worries or desires. Calming the breath for 10 minutes can calm the mind also.

This is me pretty much. Drank 1-2 mugs of coffee a day for 20+ years. Always trouble sleeping: all-nighters, 3-4h nights. Tried limiting to one cup in the morning. No impact. Decided coffee is probably not the issue and continued having troubles. Then finally stopped altogether: no problem sleeping anymore. It's crazy how I've been sabotaging my sleep for so long.

It's a real food for thought!
I have seen people sleeping in the street under the midday sun in the summer without any artificial cooling facility !
I have seen many common may spending the middle of the day under the shade of a tree , and I believe they sleep well !
    It's not the exercise !
It's in their peace of mind ! They live simply, do not have any complex thought / expectation in their mind .
Their mind is at peace , so they can sleep so easily !
In our modern society you are continuously recieving so many negative energy ,like envy , jealousy, politics ,foul words , hatred ,,saying a few.
If you are sensitive , those energies are making permanent marks in your memory or mind !
Those things reappear subconsciously when you are trying to sleep, twist and toss & turn in the bed , keeps you awake!
We need to develop our mind to reject such energies , and program it to recieve only positive energy, to remain in a peaceful state of mind irrespective of those stimulus !
    That can give us peace!🙏

I can do physical labor for 14 hours, come home and not be able to sleep. I’m sorry, it’s not that simple. Only people who’ve never had insomnia make it sound so simple. They make so many assumptions, that we’re not working, not exercising etc. I’m tired all day, exhausted. I cant wait to sleep, bam, 10PM hits and I’m wired, wide awake. Cortisol imbalances can contribute to being tired during the day, wired at night.

Guys i got a very weird experience today. I saw a dream and suddenly i became conscious of it. I was conscious of the idea that i was dreaming. I became very happy then i thought let me control this dream. I was completely aware that my consciousness has been withdrawn from the body and is now being projected in the mind only. So i focused my whole concentration and tried to mold the dream in my way. As i was doing it, suddenly, my whole mind shook, it felt like i am entering into void, i became very afraid because a thought struk me that if I not stop it now then I am never going to come back, so i dropped this process and i thought lets wake up because i was feeling a little bit of weird sensation in my brain. So i woke up and started doing my daily activities suddenly, i knew that, i have not woken up and i am still dreaming. So
I again tried to woke up and then again started to do my daily activities after sometime i again felt that this is also a dream. I said to me what the fuck is going on. I became very scared. I again tried to wake up but still after waking up, i knew that i was dreaming. I became very much afraid. I again tried to wake up and after waking up, i ran toward my parents for help, after telling them about this experience, i found that i am still dreaming. I desperately called for my parents in my dream again and again. I thought i am never going to wakeup again. But i knew that i am eternal. No one can kill me but still i didn't want to leave this body at this age. After desperately trying to wake up again and again i felt helpless, finally i screamed very loud in my dream, i said "oh hari(vishnu) please help me, i have forcefully tried to control my dream and now i have forgotten how to wake up " When i said this i felt love for him, as soon as i said this to vishnu, i felt a current emerging from the heart and spreading all over my body and suddenly i woked up. I was still confuse whether i am dreaming or this is the waking world but after sometime i got to know that i am in the walking world when my sister called me mad because i was talking nonsense
I thought i should share this with you.

Hello, dude ! How do you do !
I am very highly amused !
Why does someone waited so long and hasn't filed a formal complaint to the competent authority/TH-cam, as yet ! I do hereby challenge someone to master the necessary courage/guts to file a formal complaint to the competent authority/TH-cam, immediately, if one harbours any genuine apprehension to this effect ; provided, ofcourse, someone is not otherwise a coward ! Is that understood ! Someone should better understand it !
. How right was William Shakespeare in his assessment in saying - "Cowards die many times before their death ; but the valiants never taste of death but once !"
I often wonder - why does some people make a mockery of themselves by evolving stories out of nothing ! I very much pity someone's stupidity and abysmally low level of intelligence, although one pretends to be so smart ! Even a person of average intelligence can very easily understand that similar questions merit similar responses !
Infact, it's the other way round ! Someone, who uses to bark at the behest and bidding of one's masters, for some gratification, in lieu of the services rendered, and has perfected this obnoxious art through practice over the years, finds one's own reflection in everyone, whenever one ventures to look at others ! Someone might have seen one's own image in the mirror, prior to writing this comment ! How farcical and hypocritical it looks !

That's all true and good but I doubt it's fitting my problem as I move basically all day long, hard training plus walking for hours plus clean nutritious diet. I also get into the sunlight a lot and do basically everything and still I suffer from those waves of cortisol when I try to fall asleep. It's literally like an electric wave flushing me as soon as I'm about to fall asleep, making my heart race as if there was some sort of danger. It's making me crazy because I put in so much work for my health and muscle growth and because of this I can't recover properly:(

Maybe you're putting too much pressure on yourself? That's the psychological part he mentioned, sounds like anxiety - letting go of stuff and meditation really helps with that long term
