Wowbthe nostalgia and memories finding this tune now ! Back when the world was still a good place and producers made tracks ahead of their time like this 💚🫶
I remember dancing to this in my bedroom on a weekend as a teen, love this song, brings back good memories :D Absolute banger.... still playing in 2023
One of the bangers from early 2000s! very original how they chose to remix such an old classic from a 50s musical, when the beat kicks in after the "dodleydoo" intro , it shocks you and with the bells chiming, and how they chose to repeat just the lines "I'm reeeeaaady for love" and "have a smiiiiiile on my face..." it's like they transported that song into this decade. Love the video too.
For some reason I saw the old VW advert, with this song and what a tune, can’t believe this is actually your channel with it-very cool I’ll be following you from now on haha
This is one of my all-time favourite tracks. I still remember hearing the short version in the VW advert and really enjoying it, then was so pleased when you released this full version!
I continue to thank George Sampson for bringing this BANGER to my attention. Literally last week I watched Singin In The Rain for the first time ever, and absolutely LOVED it and have rediscovered this song xxx
1:50 - 1:56 literally just dancing to stay on their side while internally screaming and crying because an army of supernatural junk robots have you trapped in a subway tunnel
I was introduced to this amazing remix via Volkswagen commeecial that featured the OG utterly amazing dancer David Elsewhere. He was phenomenal and really brought another level to this bewuridul track. Xx
Storytime. When this first came out in 2008 and George Sampson danced to it in the BGT finals, it was the most inspirational thing I had ever heard or seen. I was six years old. I did tap and ballet at the local dance company about 5 minutes away from home every Saturday morning before 9AM. It was my first real passion, the first talent I had. I performed at theatres and in front of an actual audience, and I was happy. Then J.S. came along. I won't name and shame him, but he was another six year old in my class. More importantly, he was one of the reasons why I crushed my dreams of being a dancer and threw them away. I was no longer 'just a kid who wanted to dance'. I was girly, gay, stupid etc... whatever else he called me. I was strange, as a boy, for liking the colour pink. I was teased for going to school with painted that I let my sister do. Everything I did that was 'feminine' or relating to dancing, pink, or ballet was wrong. It hurt. It really hurt, and now, 15 years later, it hurts the most because I don't dance professionally anymore. J.S. relentlessly bullied me to the point that I CONVINCED my parents to stop taking me to dance classes, full stop. Never again. I dropped all my passions and aspirations for what someone else, and society overall, labelled as 'wrong' for a young boy to like. I was a victim of the societal pressure to not act like a 'girl' and toxic masculinity. Yes, I know some of you HATE that phrase, but it's real, look it up. I stopped dancing because of him. I don't 'do dance' anymore. In early January 2021, I was sat on the bus on the way to the beach to chill and do some reading, when I remembered this song. I started to play it, thinking it would be a cute nostalgia trip, but no. Holy fuck. It brought up all the emotions I felt at six years old, all at once. I left the bus looking like a mess, avoiding eye contact while trying to wipe my tears. I forgot just how much I loved dancing. In that moment, it all came back to me as a reminder that it was my strongest passion, my strongest talent. I still like the colour pink. I still fucking hate J.S. The only thing that's changed is I'm passionately gay and instead of dancing, I write poetry. This whole experience led me to write a piece for my first self-published anthology, '18 MONTHS'. Basically, hearing this fills me with both pure sorrow and joy and takes me back to that time in my life. It's 2008, I'm six years old again, doing tap and ballet on Saturday mornings at 9AM. I'm watching George Sampson in the BGT finals while this song is playing. I like dancing. Life is good.
Sorry to hear that. I ironically had a similar issue but not in relation to dance or anything, but I had a passion for football and loved playing it. But some people just made the experience miserable, I look back on it and I’m pretty sure I spent 99% of my time playing with a borderline panic attack 😂 I was just so desperate to prove people wrong I forgot why I played in the first place. As I’ve gotten older, I realize that inadvertently, you gain an immense amount of perspective for being harassed out of a passion. Note how you saw it as a simple case of toxic masculinity, yet football is the most popular mens sport in the world and I still ended up in the same situation as you. It’s too redundant, and makes it seem like this “J.S” kid was just acting natural based on your decisions, when it was actually just his inherent personality; being a twat. But now that you’re older, you can see that these kinds of toxic people are inevitable, and it makes you care a lot less about being negatively perceived. You might feel like you “missed” a lot, but you couldn’t have pretended to not care from the start; you have to go through it to realize that their opinions truly aren’t worth caring about. This lesson can be applied to all areas of life which wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. Hopefully I made some kind of sense, I’m not saying your negative experiences were a good thing, but rather you shouldn’t feel alone nor regretful about how you reacted. Take care bud
@@XXXTENTAClON227 Omg XXXTentacion lives again!!! Lmao jokes, but yeah, I realise I'm definitely not alone in my experience. Sorry to hear about your experience with football. I'm glad you're confident in pursuing a creative passion'. and the other is very much, 'okay, how does that benefit society in any way? Why don't you become a *journalist*?" (because ofc if a creative passion becomes your job ,it has to benefit capitalism in some way or another 🤪). It's really all about the art of not giving a fuck.
That`s sad to hear. I had interests as a kid (swimming, collecting football stickers etc) that i enjoyed and got bullied for some reason, it`s sad it has to happen.
