  • A few technical glitches with this video - but an insight into ownership cost of the Jaguar XKR and XKR-S. How much does a one year service cost and how much have I spent on the car after 13 months of ownership?
Always trying to improve the picture and sound quality so standby for improvements with that!
Is the 5.0L supercharged beast expensive to own and run?
Unfortunately I do not recommend this independent garage.
Watch out for the same colour car on Doug DeMuro's channel!

Another excellent video! I will be in the U.K. in September and after following you and your journey I am fully confident buying an XKR. As distasteful as discussing money is 😎can you give any insight as to the cost of the extended warranty and maybe why you only went with 12 months?

    • @QuickShiftTV2024
      @QuickShiftTV2024  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@cottonbrad The warranty is the one that came with the car from the dealership, so it was free/ part of the price. It is common here in the UK for a used car to come with a 3,6 or 12 month warranty included. Sorry that's not much help! You'll love the XKR! Glad my videos have been helpful 😁👍🏼

Did my 90k mile service on the XKR-S GT (i have 4K miles on the car…lol) the dealer cost was $2k US. Ouch! I feel with the rarity its important to get dealer service for the value.

Always good to hear from you! Funnily enough the independent garages have more faith and trust put in them here in the UK as dealerships do the least amount of work for the most amount of money. You need to rack up more miles in the GT! 😀👍

My XKRS reg number VU11DKL in the French Racing Blue, it came directly as an ex Jaguar Demo Car , I have had the engine Remapped by Viezu so now produces 600bhp , full Carbon Fibre kit ,car looks and drives so well . The XKRS is just so underrated .

😲Wow! That's awesome! Very close to my reg. How much did the remap cost through Viezu? I presume that is with a smaller super charger pulley? Glad you are enjoying yours! 😁

@@QuickShiftTV2024 yes I enjoy my XKRS, the remap with super charger pulley and air cleaners plus changing the exhaust . 602 bhp. The cost for remap £1,600. Exhaust £1,250. Sounds great , I love it. . Best Barry

    Sounds about right
I may need new rear discs and pad on the rear wheels on my XKR. Front seats could do with work but but not too bad. December 2011, with 69k miles. Had a fuel pump fuse go as cable had come loose and chafed on body work and blew fuse. Took time and money to sort but all good now🤞.plus, off side rear wheel stud ceased so had it drilled out and replaced new one. Want to get the wheel locking nuts changed as current ones are rusty looking. My 1st Mot all good and service in line with yours.

My rear pads looked as if they had a bit of life left, but we're crumbling when I removed them! Glad you got the fuel pump fues sorted. Rusting locking wheel nuts are common amongst most years. Thanks for the comment John! Enjoy your XKR!

Great vid mate . I am hoping to get into a xkrs or xkr dynamic in the next year. I was wondering how they were for comfort and fit as I am 6ft4 . How do you find it? Really love what you have done with the car from you got it 👍

I'm greatful for the positivity Jude- thanks! Head room isn't bad and you'll be able to adjust the seat accordingly. Comfort is very good but I'd definitely try and sit in one to test that head room. Overall fantastic ownership experience. The XKR is likely the best value for money and a remap will close the power gap if needed 👍 Keep me updated.

Had a BlackCircles agent refuse to fit MP4Ss as not Jag recommend 🙄 Btw, this has cost you nothing, used prices on my 2012 XKR are now + £10k what I paid, so I bet this is doing even better - free motoring :-)

Owning a nice car is like having a wife
They cost a lots of money
Buts it fine your in love 😍
When you start doubting the cost that’s when it’s time to trade her in for a younger model 😂
