The Seneca story of the Maid of The Mist

Growing up, Rick Hill spent time visiting Niagara Falls where he heard a popular story about the Maid of the Mist.
For decades tourists were told that the Indigenous people of Niagara Falls would sacrifice a beautiful woman to the spirit of the falls.
That didn’t sit right with Rick so he wanted to find out the real story behind the myth. That led him to Seneca Chief Corbet Sundown who told him a very different version of the story.
