Hey guys this pony showed up at our school yesterday and the owner never showed up to pick him up. I guess he is part of the family now. Our kids call him Willy.
Your kids now have a kind, sensible pony... all he needs is a lot of grooming (good for the kids to do), groceries and a trip to the vet... I wonder all the cool experiences Willy and your kids will have together...
After being absolutely horrified at the state of his hooves....I was absolutely in hysterics when I saw him standing on your lap for his "pedicure" 😂❤😂❤😂❤
As much as I love watching these videos, I am REALLY troubled by the amount of animals who are being neglected this badly! Thank You so much for helping them!
From my understanding, because this place is a school, they can offer to do reduced-cost restorations on very neglected horses. Because of that, they get a LOT more neglect cases than the average farrier. It's horrifying that there's a ton of horses that go through this, but the ratio isn't likely as overwhelming as it seems based on how many neglect cases this channel gets.
You are so very dedicated and kind and that little guy had such patience❤ Thank you for taking such good care of him and giving him such comfort in his life And oh my goodness im glad you saved your back as well! Ponies lend a whole new meaning to , "oh my aching back😵💫"!! I pray for God to bless you many times over 🙏 ❤️
I can't help wondering if one of the most asked questions is one you didn't mention: what kind of owner would allow such neglect to go on for so long, and what legal recourse is there to give justice to the pony for its suffering?
I've seen that question on other channels and the most common answer for why it happened is that the owner is more than likely subject to shame and pride. They may not know how to take care of hooves and refuse to ask for help until it becomes a painful detriment for the horse.
There's a ton of reasons why a pony might suffer this kind of neglect. Owner died and the inheritors don't know about horses. Owner is disabled and can't work the horses. Too costly (especially in today's day and age with COL so high). No trailer to go to farrier, or too remote for a farrier to bother coming out. At this length and duration of neglect I'd bet it was something like the first couple reasons. The pony is well behaved and, while a bit thin, is not emaciated, so someone cared for it during this time
As someone who has insane toenails that grow really weird because of a condition toenails so hard I can't cut them myself it lived for years with the pain of trying to walk on curled toenails until I finally found a podiatrist that could help I kind of relate to these horses the amount of relief these horses must feel must be immense I remember the first time I walked barefoot on a hard surface without having to lift my toes off the ground straining my muscles in uncomfortable ways it felt amazing
What a sweet little pony! I feel bad it was neglected like this when it's obviously very comfortable with people. (I'd feel bad even if it wasn't, it just has the sweetest personality!)
Awwww such an adorable little pony! So sweet when he stood on his hind legs with his front hooves on your knee. A sweet natured little pony. Was so good to see the amazing transformation! ❤
My goodness, what a great help for the horse, can you imagine wearing clown slippers on your feet all crooked? That would hurt. Thank you for helping the lovely animal. Awesome.
Willy is such a little sweetheart! So adorable with a fancy new set of shoes. Thank you for taking such good care and congratulations on your new addition :)
It's good the neglectful owner never picked the little guy up, I think he'll be much better off where he's at. I thank you once again for sharing your trade with us and allow us to be able to better understand some of the things that go on at horse ranches. You've gotten another new subber too.
Willy has to know he’s one of the luckiest ponies alive to have met you. Your videos make me wish I had chosen a different path with my life. Such satisfying work. God bless you, your family and Willy.
Just thinking about it, how would you feel if you had to rely on someone to do all your 'grooming' for you? brushing, trimming your 'nails' hooves, and what ever, it's a lot of work, would there be enough volunteers? Think about it.
lol it's always funny to see the different mindsets the horses have when they're getting work done - this little dude seems like he's all there for it lol just having a good time.
What a smart and delightful "lap-pony". He's so well behaved. So sad to see his hooves in such bad shape. SO glad you could help him and I certainly thing you will have no problem finding him a great home if you don't decide to just keep this delightful little guy.
start of the trim, the pony's mane is loose. end of the trim, the mane is braided. which one of these tough cowboys took the time to kindly braid the pony's hair? XD i love it. wish that was included in the vid just for fun.
Hoping beyond hope that this besutiful little pony goes to a home that will take care of him and how long it will take for tendons and muscles to adjust Thank you thank you 😊 ❤
I'm in tears. Thank you for helping the well-behaved pony. Now the muscles and vision just have to slowly adapt to the new position. Until then, it's ready to be cuddled.
I chuckled when I saw that pony in your lap!😂😂 Animals know when you are there to help them. I truly believe that this sweet soul was so grateful for you.
He is still tender on his hooves, the tendons in his legs will need lots of time to readjust, I guessing might never get back to absolute normal alignment. Great job helping this pony out, bless you.
A real-live rocky horse! Unbelievable. What a wonderful life you live, helping horses to live a horse’s life. (Rocky horses belong in a nursery, or a family room - not in a barn or stable. Top rate job! 👍👍
Really saddening but weirdly confusing neglect since the pony looked well, but it’s feet were neglected. It’s like someone maintaining their car but not stumping up to replace the bald tires. Great job on those hooves! It will no doubt be greatly appreciated by the gorgeous pony.
Excellent work as always. That was serious overgrowth. I just wanted to say in the comments that I donate to a charity called the Donkey Sanctuary. Folk who watch your work and sympathise with these lovely animals may want to do the same with whatever equine charity is dear to them. It's really shocking the levels of abuse these animals can suffer and they often need to be looked after by sanctuaries and caring people for the rest of their lives.
Hey guys this pony showed up at our school yesterday and the owner never showed up to pick him up. I guess he is part of the family now. Our kids call him Willy.
Well at least he have a new home 💯🥺🙏🏽they was very weird of the owner to leave his pony like that
Thank the Lord above that he gets to stay with you and be well taken care of. My ❤ goes out to this loving horse. Thank you! ❤
The relief they must feel.
Your kids now have a kind, sensible pony... all he needs is a lot of grooming (good for the kids to do), groceries and a trip to the vet... I wonder all the cool experiences Willy and your kids will have together...
How long did it actually take you to do his hooves,,,? Thanks
After being absolutely horrified at the state of his hooves....I was absolutely in hysterics when I saw him standing on your lap for his "pedicure" 😂❤😂❤😂❤
Same! Heh heh.
I feel like they missed a great thumbnail opportunity 😆
Right? He's like a big cuddly dog!
Pedicure! 🤣🤣🤣
What a n incredibly sensible clever pony. He’s going to be a delightful addition to someone’s family
That standing on his lap absolutely mind amazing. All calm and collected. Sweet thing.
They said the owner came back for him. They also said he's part of the family now. The kids love him and call him Willy. ❤️
As much as I love watching these videos, I am REALLY troubled by the amount of animals who are being neglected this badly! Thank You so much for helping them!

Also consider, this is more interesting content than a normal healthy pony hoof trim. Just like bad news sells more and generates more clicks.
also there are TH-cam farriers who do show horses and ponies with healthy hooves, in their videos.
Какие мерзские и гнусные люди-хозяева, мусор в обществе,так вести себя по отношению к беззащитным и живым существам, наказывать надо таких уродов!
People who allow their horses to suffer like this do not deserve these beautiful creatures. 😢
Good thing the owner never got him back, that pony deserves so much better
He said the owner never came back for him. Best thing ever for the pony!!
Don't own a Horse if you can't afford it. You can learn so much about them ...
but don't hurt them or abuse .let them. go
What a patient little pony and thank you for helping him.
What a well behaved pony.
I was thinking the same. Very sweet.❤
Looks like a big puppy!
@@TheOReport1994 ,
Careful, if he hears that he might want to turn into a "Lap Junkie", lol.
I thought they’re supposed to stand FOR the farrier, not stand ON the farrier!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Imagine one of the draft horses would stand on his leg 😬😱
@@Cerbera66 ouch! I had one stand on my foot before and that was bad enough lol
😂😂😂😂
Good thing it was only a pony 🙂
Aww what a helpful customer.. Standing on your lap to make it easier! Looks way more comfortable at the end
That little mini's or pony's expression is so kind and gentle and he was so calm t hroughout, quite amazing.
I love that you let him stand on you while u cut his front! So glad he gets his hooves taken care of so he can enjoy life again!
That cutie looks way too pleased with himself for standing on you during his pedicure 😊
He’s adorable and well mannered. Thank you for helping him❤❤

This sweet pony came in looking painful and sad. He walked out with happy feet. Thank you for helping this little pony out.
What a truly amazing sweet pony. You are so kind and knowledgeable. You are just the best. What else can we say
A beautiful little pony actually. ❤ So precious that he can rest his hooves on your leg..
Thank you...What a beautiful pony...I wish we could have seen more of him walking around at the end.

What a sweet little pony! I feel bad it was neglected like this when it's obviously very comfortable with people. (I'd feel bad even if it wasn't, it just has the sweetest personality!)

Maybe it was the kids mentioned in the post by idahohorseshoeingschool (those who named him Willy)
What a sweetheart and much needed relief. Give him a pat from all of us ❤
He'd spend a half a day patting this little guy, lol.
You can see the relief from beginning to end.
What a sweet-tempered little pony. I hope whoever owns it now takes better care.
...the poor things joints! I'm so glad you were able to help!
I love how chill he was standing on your legs even when he was probably abused ❤
Thank you for all that you do. I've watched your videos for about a year and they always teach me a lot!
Someone should be prosecuted for that. Thank you for helping and showing kindness.
I hope he has a new home, such a cutie ❤❤

Cute little horse. So calm too.
I so wish you would show the whole trim but thankyou sincerely for helping this pony.
Fantastic video! Love all the tools including the electric sander to do the job AND you got to sit down. 💕
I'm getting addicted watching this. INCREDIBLE.
You should check out The Hoof GP, he's Scottish and works on cow's hooves. :)
Thank you for helping this poor animal. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What the hell is wrong with people, to leave a horse like this? Such a sweet little pony.
I chuckled when I saw that pony in your lap!😂😂 Animals know when you are there to help them. I truly believe that this sweet soul was so grateful for you.
What an accommodating little guy, and what beautiful feet you sculpted for him out of his elf shoes.
That's a big lap dog you have there😄
Lap pony! ❤😀
It so satisfying to watch a farrier treat hooves like this.
Great job. I don't know how owners can walk past this every day and not give a damn. So cruel.
He is still tender on his hooves, the tendons in his legs will need lots of time to readjust, I guessing might never get back to absolute normal alignment. Great job helping this pony out, bless you.
