As good as this version is, they recently released z from the pepsi center and is on another level 👌
It most certainly is on another Level!!!
Awesome. Check out Z live at Pepsi Center. It is next level great. ⚡️
As everyone else has said you should check out the newly released Pepsi Center CDMX performance of this. And everything else from the show. Amazing!
"Here's your star for good behavior" Such a great lyric!!!!!!
The songs working title was Generation Z. The song is speaking to them. As an X I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m never going to know what it’s truly about. The general theme though is (like many of their songs) think for yourself, don’t fall for all the fake social-media group-think (wear the blindfold, drink the Tide). They also reference another song from this album “Kool-Aid Kids”. Which dives deeper into the same ideas.
As well as XXI Century blood and Disciple.
Song is a banger. Have not seen this performance of Z before. This song proves Dany can shred with the best of them when she wants to and the song calls for it. Not a single wasted note in a song from The Warning.
Fantastic reaction as always, Jessie.
my favorite band on the planet
I THINK THAT WE SHOULD!
I really have to beg you to react to the latest release of Z live from the Pepsi Center. It is incredible! Let me know how to buy you a couple of cups of coffee, and I'll do it! The also released Disciple from the same show. You should do a two for one. You're gonna love the audience participation.
You, my young friend, are one of my favorite reactors. Keep it up.
Definitley a shot at the Gen Zer's, hence the name "Z" ...they have written a few songs now trying to "wake" up the GenZ's for sure...don't know if they are listening or not. Couple Examples would be "Disciple, XXI Century Blood. There is always a message in there from these Brilliant young ladies. Love the reaction.
I like the foreshadowing to Kool Aid Kids later on album.
This has to be my favorite version of this song. Ale's voice really shines through in the second chorus! In the other live versions, Pau's harmony dominates in this section.
I really like these live sessions because they are more intimate and we get to see them playing their instruments up close. It's like having a front row seat at a concert. And they pour as much fun and energy into these performances as they do a concert.
"Z" address their generation and the challenges and pit falls of growing up on tech and being immersed by so many influences, like the reference to "revolutionary Kool-Aid kids" drinking the Kool-Aid of social media and not thinking for one's self.
🕊✨The Warning ✨🕊
Love these young ladies ! Excellent reaction too..
They have been dropping a video every 2 days from the Pepsi Center concert including "Z". Quality!
Z was the show opener for the Error album tour, now 'Six feet deep' is, but Z is the second. A great rock song to show all knuckleheads saying Dany cannot shred how wrong they are. That she does not do it constantly shows that DPA always play what the song need - no more, no less!
Hi, AO! You are never goofy or stupid. It's hard to analyze every aspect of a song but not many go as far as you do - music, lyrics, performance, psychological effect, etc. This one sounded good and I appreciate it more thanks to your thoughts. Here's my take on the lyrics - The star for good behaviour is a sarcastic stamp of approval for the Zs... Better wash your hands is guilt tripping the Zs... Blindly following false truths in the pursuit of 'happiness' will come back to bite you... 'Wear the blindfold, drink the tide' is ignore warnings and take advantage without responsibility.... So it could be about greed, environment, climate, or so many other things that every generation has a right to blame on the last. The repeated 'Watch out' echoes the warning. These are just initial thoughts and maybe I've gone tooooo far. One of my common responses as a teacher was, "I don't know"... Thanks, dear AO! 💐
It is commentary on the dangerous effects of blindly following authority and societal norms, and the consequences that can come from it. The lyrics of the song suggest a sense of bitterness and loneliness, as the narrator sees those around her conforming to societal expectations and losing touch with their own desires and values. The chorus acts as a warning to be cautious and skeptical of the information and beliefs being presented by those in positions of power. The line "watch out 'cause it's coming back for you" suggests that the consequences of blindly following these beliefs will eventually catch up to individuals.
The second verse reinforces this message and criticizes those who blindly follow authority and willingly participate in destructive behavior. The line "revolutionary Kool-Aid kids" references the mass suicide at the Jonestown cult compound in 1978, where members committed suicide by drinking poisoned Kool-Aid at the request of their leader, Jim Jones. The song encourages listeners to question authority and societal norms, and to pursue their own happiness, even if it means going against what is expected of them.
Wow, very astute comments...I was going to say I saw a horsey and ducky...but I changed my mind!
Hi, Great band, Massive future, exciting times for real rock music returning with these talented sisters. Thankyou miss flowers, great taste in music.
Gracias, Flowers! It's always sweet spending time with you on your reactions. See you on the next one.
🤙💙⚡️
Here is what I found and can agree with it pretty much : "Z" by The Warning seems to be a commentary on the dangerous effects of blindly following authority and societal norms, and the consequences that can come from it. The lyrics of the song suggest a sense of bitterness and loneliness, as the narrator sees those around her conforming to societal expectations and losing touch with their own desires and values. The line "pull the trigger, love me happily" could be interpreted as a call to action to break free from these expectations and pursue what truly brings happiness, even if it means going against the tide. The "kitchen knife, the meanly savior" could symbolize a means of escape from the pressures of societal norms.
Overall, the song encourages listeners to question authority and societal norms, and to pursue their own happiness even if it means going against what is expected of them.
Drink the tide is referring to the TickTock eating tide pod challenge.
5 thumbs to you, Love 'em, love U, thanx a million
Best show opener song possible, it definitely gets everyone going.
Free time is precious and so are you.
you're very kind, thank you
El mejor rock del 2024 es el de The Warning ,es un rock adictivo
Come on girl - you can't usually get the gist of a song after one verse, especially with these lyricists. You're all good.
Always love these live sessions from their hometown. You also may want to start looking out for the songs they are dropping from the Pepsi Center they improved the production on them and one by one releasing to Patreon first and now to everyone one at a time really love the audio and video quality of all the songs from that show.Yes love the harmony between Pau and Ale while leading into the Dany guitar solo than back to Pau with the scream.
Have you seen that The Warning did a song with Band-Maid? Check it out!
👍🏻
It’s PERFECTLY fine to be over-caffeinated. The band’s energy is just as invigorating.
The Warning!! 🔥 🤘
Z and Disciple Live from Pepsi Center in Mexico City is way better. The Crowd the Lighting, Concert the energy, sound in 4 k is way better.
We are here because you rock, Jessie :) We thank you.

Hell yeah i'm gonna rock out this birthday. Peace ✌️
happy early birthday! 🥳 🎉 i hope you have an amazing time at the show! 😃
Wow! Ale sounded like a softer version of Dani
🤘⚠️nice⚠️🤘
It is all about Gen-Z.
😘
We love spending time with you 🥰 specially when you are reacting to the warning!🤟 plus you're a sweetheart! 💖
"Z" is a reference to things and isues that the Z generation has, in the modern society and social media.
Nothing wrong with a bit of excited gesturing 😊. And "Z" deserves it.
I think there's a certain amount of reading between the lines or making inferences required from societal memes and norms. Pretty sure it's a song about Gen Z. One of the things that happens to me is I get lost in the music and can totally miss the lyrics, never mind the story or meanings.
Also, check out their "Kool Aid Kids", and the phrase "drink(ing) the Kool Aid".
To much caffeine!!!!! That stuff is BAD for you. You usually have a good grasp of the meaning.
i was extra sleepy and brain foggy that day 😅
@@flowersafterrainfall Just be careful. Some of those caffeine drinks are deadly. Google it!!
