So sad that they split up. They were pure magic together. I was one of the lucky few. I got to see them five times. Treasured memories of an amazing collective of Great musicians.
When I first heard this album I just thought that the songs were all too similar. Then one day they all suddenly burst into their own colour. Beautiful album.
I felt the same way, and still do to a certain extent, but it's still all so good. I look at it as one long extended related song that has slightly varied musical themes.
Ahh bee "Tim" ahh, Bir insanın sesinin yanında, duruşuda da mı bu kadar asaletli olur.. 2010 'daki "The courage of other" adlı albümün "Midlake" de son albümün olması ve en sağlam, en güzel ve en melankolik parçalarının bu albümde olması, sanki ben artık buradan sonra "Midlake" ye veda ediyorum dercesine mi yaptın bee adam.. Çok özledim bee geri dönsene Tim..
If all that grows Starts to fade Starts to falter Oh, let me inside Let me inside Not to wake Let all that run Through the fields Through the quiet Go on with their own On with their own Hidden ways [Verse 2] When all the newness of gold Travels far from Where it had once been Worn like the Earth over years And when the acts of Man Cause the ground to break open Oh, let me inside Let me inside Not to wake [Chorus] Great are the sounds of all that live And all that man can hold [Refrain] If all that grows Starts to fade Starts to falter Oh, let me inside Let me inside Not to wake [Chorus] Great are the sounds of all that live And all that man can hold Great are the sounds of all that live, that live
Am proud to have been jamming with them at their studio when they started to write this song. Absolutely wonderful song. Sandy Denny was the topic of discussion as the song started to form. I also put about 20 solos in the second interlude, none of which remain, as you can hear from the album. Nothing left but a flute. :)
This sounds a lot like king crimson especially songs like Epitaph and in the wake of Poseidon. Even the drumming on studio version has the vibe..lovin it!
It's people who have only been listening to rap music and hip-hop at 120 db for years on end, and who therefore have no real knowledge of the concept of a proper melody ;-)

I know what you mean..but what a revelation when it does come!
Get ready for Tim's first solo release under the name Harp!
I love this song so much. It's really cool to see it performed "live" like this.
Mais que je vous aime !!!!!! Cette chanson est la plus belle qu’il soit !!!!💐💐💐🙏🙏🙏😘😘😘
@1:18 Those vocal harmonies give me chills and keep my coming back this video specifically.

you guys are freaking AWESOME!! yeah, istanbul!!
If all that grows
Starts to fade
Starts to falter
Oh, let me inside
Let me inside
Not to wake
Let all that run
Through the fields
Through the quiet
Go on with their own
On with their own
Hidden ways
[Verse 2]
When all the newness of gold
Travels far from
Where it had once been
Worn like the Earth over years
And when the acts of Man
Cause the ground to break open
Oh, let me inside
Let me inside
Not to wake
[Chorus]
Great are the sounds of all that live
And all that man can hold
[Refrain]
If all that grows
Starts to fade
Starts to falter
Oh, let me inside
Let me inside
Not to wake
[Chorus]
Great are the sounds of all that live
And all that man can hold
Great are the sounds of all that live, that live

Sandy Denny! I have her album. Think she sang with Led Zepplin on a song?
