Tim just released a new album.
The Courage of Others ranks highly amongst the most beautiful things created by mankind.
This band is still so inspiring.
If Tim only had confidence in him self the next album would have been a masterpiece
All thier work was great, but this album, oh dear, no words, masterpiece indeed ~
Thank you very much for uploading this. I miss Tim Smith and his music. Please release something soon, Tim!
+evan garcia No problem, I'm glad other midlake fans can enjoy this. I really hope Tim Smith releases some work soon, as he has said in posts online that any new stuff would probably have a similar sound to this album (which is my favourite).
Midlake did share a post a while back on their Facebook page with Tim and rest of the band, however I don't know how much we can read into that. Let's hope a reunion is on the cards, but if not, the band is still very strong with Pulido in lead.
He just released a new album.
Thanks for posting! Had no idea this existed.
No problem. This documentary came with the Deluxe version of The Courage of Others. It thought it was a shame every wasn't able to enjoy it. Glad you like it.
Good to see you all around the fire singing, eating and drinking together. Fame is one thing but you all have something far more precious already.
Was the phrase 'the best things are worth waiting for' ever more apt than for the two years it took for this album to come together? An absolute masterpiece of an album, and yet so strange that the make up of the group changed straight after it. I guess things came to light during those two years that brought about the break up. I got back into the album the other day, after a break of a few years (one of the problems of having nearly 600 CDs!) and it was a real joy to hear it again.
The last song is a demo of "Bring Down" from the album.
Kinda like the demo better
I love this demo, but i can't find it anywhere..
Thank you for upload.....fantastic band they were
Thanks !! really !! you made my day by uploading this
No problem, enjoy!
All songs are great. And in 2022 in Holland. I can not wait.
can't thank you enough for uploading this my friend -- salut, and ever thanks.
Amazing band! thank you
Thanks!!!!
The song at 5:10 sounds like an elongated intro to "Fortune" and 10:03 is definitely "Bring down"
Simply amanzing!
Greatest band ever

What was the album tracked on. It's just a really well engineered piece of art. I'm truly greatful for getting to experience their work.

I think it was tracked on an Otari Radar. There is a feature in the SoundonSound magazin on recording the album if you are interested.
4:25 - 4:40
Great Video thanks for uploading. What is the tune at the end during the credits please?
Richard Butler Afraid I don't know, I think this must have just been a piece of music for a song that was either not completed, or didn't make it onto the album. Beautiful nonetheless, and I hope we'll hear more from Midlake and Time Smith soon.
Sounds like Bring Down to me.
Demo of bring down
@@Occult_Detective Thanks, it's a shame they don't release that it sounds wonderful.
9:33 OMG Matthew, that f'ing Jacket 😂
Around 5:10 a beautiful song plays on the background. Can you tell me the name? Thanks in advance :)
M. Groningen Sorry I don't recognise it as something ***** ever released. Tim Smith is talking about music that ideas that they had recorded, but they abandoned, so it could be a piece of music from those original recordings. Saying that though, it does sound somewhat familiar.
Sounds like a rough version of Fortune to me.
Yes, it could be a demo version of Fortune. I deeply hope that the band will release a rarities collection (recordings, take #) with this demo. That would be awesome. Midlake is my favorite band of this era.
hello sir. Can you add the song's name in the video
