Then upgrade fable attack in p organ, equip fire grindstone use the fable attack for the handle then hold the fable art until the boss comes at you, u can remove half his health easily. also use flamberge and overheat him u wont even struggle to kill him no matter how bad you are.
I'll just add a general tip for the game in that you shouldn't make the mistake of investing too many levels in health or these fights will be drawn out much longer than needed. At this point in the game ideal health and stamina are about 14 vitality and approximately 13 vigor (depending what weapon you're using). Everything else should be towards pumping up damage as much as possible. Offense is the best defense.
I was playing drunk and summoned and beat this boss on my second try. Based on these comments I was either stupidly lucky, or my drunk instincts are better than my default brain that tends to overthink.
Don’t think farming cells or thermites is a logical strategy for any boss in this game, as the drop rate is so low. And Moonlight Town isn’t the best place to farm - best place is Act 3, Workshop Union Entrance. Use your shock arm against the 2 unfinished bots in the room right next to the Stargazer, you’ll very quickly stack lots of items but I had better luck there getting thermites than the town. I Would also prefer to see a strategy based more in weapons. I’m using the salamander digger blade with booster glance handle and finding that effective against this boss for now. Would also recommend going against the boss by yourself for a few goes to practice the parrying/learning the move set, otherwise if you have farmed items, then all that time might have been for nothing. Better to equip your fire arm and carry Legion so you can spray fire when it’s distracted.
Not gonna lie this was the easiest major boss battle up to this point, after 3 deaths I looked up how to dodge blue explosion attack and eliminated him on 4th try
For Archbishop Andreus, the trick is not to fight defensively, but aggressively! One trick I found for the second phase was to sneak up behind him by skirting around him as the phantom is attacking him from the front. Then whack him as much as you can!
JUST WATCHED THSS BEFORE ENTERING THE FIGHT AND OH MY GOD I BEAT HIM FIRST TRY USING THIS TECHNIQUE AND THE SALAMANDER DAGGER IM SO PUMPED IM STILL SHAKING!!!!
Took me about 12+ tries. Wastes materials on upgrading the salamander dagger (was recommended) that didn't work. I've been using Booster Glaive since I found it. What I did was first phase used the grindstone with fire which melted him. Second phase I used Flamberge legion arm with the second upgrade and brought several of the magazines and just used that and like 2 sword hits. So glad that's over lol
I got to this boss last night. It was already 4 AM by that point, but i wanted to see what it looked like and give it a go. I was able to get him on my 3rd attempt. I was so pleased with myself until that cutscene started, and I realized there was a phase 2. 🤯 I hadn't seen any 2 stage bosses up til this point, so i figured that bosses simply changed their attack move sets later in the battle in lieu of a 2nd stage... I only got him about 1/3 of the way before he wrecked my shit and I decided it was a good point to log off for the night. 😅
@@Elbethiumquestion, where can I farm throwables? Or is there anywhere to do that? I can’t really find anyone selling them besides the ones I’ve bought out lol
I’m doing the same thing and i’m really enjoying the salamander dagger. It has a really good moveset, it’s fast and deals a lot of damage. It happens to be pretty good in this boss fight so i’d recommend using it.
@@DamnDaimen That’s unfortunate man. Some of these bosses and mini bosses are pretty damn aggressive so I wondered how the hell would I beat them with one of these extremely slow strength weapons. Managed to beat him in 3 tries using the spring coil sword from the parade master ergo. The long range attack on it does a good amount of damage while the spectre is distracting him. Also finished him with the rifle legion arm. Key is to avoid that ground attack he charges on his 2nd phase, that shit one shot me. Def the easier boss fight imo

I like how you point out the weaknesses of these bosses - but tbh a guide that includes consumables, let alone if they are limited like here, is just half useful.
i found easy way to kill this boss. i beat him easy with upgraded heavy weapon and flamethrower arm. i was close to him all the time hitting him with sword and blocking sometimes, and most important in phase 2 I lit him with fire arm all the time didnt stop at all. you can also buy electric stuff or if you have fire stuff to throw on him and equip yourself with 4x legion magazine so you can recharge your arm
Easiest method by far is using the Salamander Dagger. I upgraded it to +3 and got him first attempt without using those damned thermite cells. I wish I had tried it earlier!

Phase 1 is really easy, Phase 2 is RNG bullshit, even when he does the same attacks as phase 1, the timing changes so you cannot parry. He does like 8 him combos an a 3 stages rush with a red attack, hate this boss.
Bruh this boss is insane, im on try #20+ and still not getting past the 2nd half of the 2nd phase! Tryna farm thermite at the moon light town but i only got 1 thermite out of 10 respawns 😂😂😂
This boss is seriously stressing me out to a point I’m thinking of selling the game. I’ve beat a few souls games now but this just takes the piss. First phase is easy, the second just become near on in workable 😂😂 I’ve just beat him lol
Guys, for gods sake just upgrade the Flamberge Legion Arm. I got clapped by him on my first two attempts, remembered Flamberge existed, and melted him on my next attempt with no effort. Honestly, if you struggle with this boss, it's because you're not using your resources. You have a fucking flamethrower. Use it.
Bro I had him on fire with a pinch of his health left and died. He had torun out of health as my screen changed to load me back in. Closest I've gotten since then is 2nd phase half health. Atleast died 30x
He was taught but I managed to take it down. Get that shield arm and the holy sword. My main problem with this guy is that for whatever reason I couldn't block his tongue attacks and just used the shield to help. If you use a summon try your best to take some of the heat off of him so he can make it to phase two. During phase two have the summon bait the snake half
It was weird the first time fighting him I literally ended phase 1 in about 30 seconds and I immediately thought wow that dude was easy I’m a beast and then I saw him change into phase 2 and I was thinking phase 1 was so easy I got this but nope that phase 2 is nasty and it seems as though his health is much harder to deplete and maybe it’s cause the specter died near the start of phase 2 but regardless phase 2 is no joke and I’m a level 54 right now on my first play through which feels pretty high but so far I’ve fought him two or three times and decided I’m going too sleep for the night and will slay this monster when I wake up !
I finally beat this boss after one day the key is to block on every hit, hit him twice and then back away and remember to block his attack cause he'll charge to do his slam moves, then after you see the white sign it's a weak spot to hit him super hard to stun him for a red kill that's the first phase.. phase 2 go behind him and continue the same movements as i said and you should be able to beat him, oh watch out when he charges a blue attack stay as far away as possible and then he passes out then go for the kill..
I completely managed to cheese this boss on my 2nd attempt by pure fluke. I immediately ran in after using the flame grinder and just hacked away (whilst blocking incoming attacks) - but during the first phase I got stuck against the right wall and couldn’t move the camera to a suitable angle so just kept hacking away and before I knew it he was dead 🤷🏻♂️ I didn’t take any damage either so I think there’s a glitch where getting stuck in that specific area renders his attacks useless. Oddly, even my spectre still had 2/3 health remaining at the end 😅
I finally beat him! I used the salamander dagger which is really good despite its short range. The moveset is great and the fire damage does work on him. My only advice is you have to git gud. I got blasted at first but after some practice I got to the point where I could nearly perfect parry the first phase and destroy him pretty quick without taking much damage. I’d suggest trying to learn the parry timings as that will speed up the poise break and it’s more reliable than dodging. Second phase let him walk forward a bit then move to the blob side. His two handed slam attack comes out much faster in the second phase, also be wary of a charge attack where he shakes his blob head and then charges back and forth, that nearly got me killed. For his big red attack where he takes two steps and slams i’d suggest just running to the side and outspacing it. Be careful of the nuke and just try to learn the parry and dodge timings and bring fire damage, you should be able to take him out eventually. This boss is quite difficult but I found the first phase was pretty fun
I’m not gonna lie the whole git gud excuse sounds more like “Keep trying and have a whole lot of luck” sure you gave helpful advice that I’m not ganna ignore. But “git gud”goes against your intentions
@@NikkiG1134 Well I can rephrase by saying, you don’t need to “git gud”, you just need to get *good enough* in order to beat the boss. You don’t need to master every single attack timing but you do need to learn a good portion of the moveset to have a chance at winning. Some of these later bosses are so damn tanky you really don’t have a choice but to learn the moveset for the most part. Mistakes happen but luck is not really a factor as you will get better naturally with practice. You can also use throwable items to give you an advantage but personally i’d recommend saving them for when the boss is almost dead and you’ve already learned the fight for the most part because having to farm items every time you want to attempt the boss sounds terrible. so i’d only suggest using them if you actually have a good chance at winning.
@@grimreefer213 I already know how to fight the boss. All that I need to rely on now is repetition I was simply telling you that gitgud is just a lazy way to put things
@@NikkiG1134 What do you mean?? I left a whole ass comment and didn’t just say “git gud” and move on like a lot of people do which doesn’t really help anyone. I think it’s lazy to say “just use throwable items” instead of actually breaking down the boss moveset and the best ways to deal with it. Not saying you said that but that’s what these videos say. It would be way too long of a comment for me to break down the boss moveset, i’d have to make a video on it with commentary to do it properly
One big tip - in the 2nd phase when he does that big charge attack , stay under him , and once he does that u get like 5 free hits because he's on the floor
beat him on 7th or 8th attempt... im running motivity build, nothing fancy, just wrench with baton handle and just straight tanked him in the face with blocking and occasional dodge... once you get his timing down, first phase is fairly easy... i could do it without healing... second phase is bit more healing intensive... but same applies... tank his ass, ignore the lil dude... i have even forgot to use the fire grindstone, which i was saving for the second phase, so regular dmg is good enough
How did your specter gain hp for phase 2--he was under half health and then when phase 2 starts he has 2/3--plus in my game the boss is melting the specter.

@@darknessprince6 I agree but I don't mind farming to get to a comfortable spot to beat him or increase the spector's health (when the spector is used) or just nerf the archbishop
@@darknessprince6elden ring is easy af. Try sekiro
Didn’t know he had a second phase and got humbled
Once again, your guides are on point 😊
Absolute pleasure to help again 😄👍
Me: Finally a nice easy boss.
cutscene plays
Me: Aaahhh!!! Come on!!
That happened to me. My heart was racing like a mf, I killed him with NO heals left, I let go down the controller with relief and then the cutscene started playing.....
simplst thing u can do is take the wrench handle and krat police baton, and upgrade them heavily i would recommend motivity crank. Then upgrade fable attack in p organ, equip fire grindstone use the fable attack for the handle then hold the fable art until the boss comes at you, u can remove half his health easily. also use flamberge and overheat him u wont even struggle to kill him no matter how bad you are.
commenting this in guides to help ppl out
I'll just add a general tip for the game in that you shouldn't make the mistake of investing too many levels in health or these fights will be drawn out much longer than needed. At this point in the game ideal health and stamina are about 14 vitality and approximately 13 vigor (depending what weapon you're using). Everything else should be towards pumping up damage as much as possible. Offense is the best defense.
My stamina is at 22 and vigor at 18 and I'm stuck at this boss cuz perfect parry is just hard to do it for me lol
Nah that's dumb. 20 health minimum
Way too low. 20 vig 20 stam minimum by this point.
If bloodborne has taught me anything it is that points spent in vigor are best spent in other stats
Fire throwables and the specter help a HUGE deal in this fight! The spectre survived all two phases
Thxs for this guide! Without I probably would have deleted the game. Also I don’t mind the cheese. It’s a game not a job. ❤❤❤keep doing your thing
Glad I could help!
You are such a legend
A big help thanks! I just did my best to parry instead of dodge..which is how this game is supposed to be played anyway.
I was playing drunk and summoned and beat this boss on my second try. Based on these comments I was either stupidly lucky, or my drunk instincts are better than my default brain that tends to overthink.
Idk why i was too stubborn to beat this boss with a summon but thx for the reminder that I could
Tell me how I beat Elden Ring 7 times but this boss has become my WORST fight ever?!
Because FS are on a whole nother level that copy cats just dont understand
Cheese 😂
Beaten the first 3 boss fights without specter I ain’t backing down now 🗣️🗣️🗣️
I hate fuocuo
I went down on the next boss if they get multiple people I get atleast a second
Thanks this helps!!
Thanks bro just be him was only stuck on this for like two hours
You have been walking me threw the game. Thanks
Not gonna lie this was the easiest major boss battle up to this point, after 3 deaths I looked up how to dodge blue explosion attack and eliminated him on 4th try
It's crazy how throwing objects are so OP in this game I beat many of bosses just by throwing objects
For Archbishop Andreus, the trick is not to fight defensively, but aggressively! One trick I found for the second phase was to sneak up behind him by skirting around him as the phantom is attacking him from the front. Then whack him as much as you can!
I like how the bosses in this game aren't frustrating.
only died once to this one, his pattern is to easy to read, he just hits really really hard
I managed to beat him on my second try.
Thanks for this great guide, it really helped me!! I finally beat this bastard!
JUST WATCHED THSS BEFORE ENTERING THE FIGHT AND OH MY GOD I BEAT HIM FIRST TRY USING THIS TECHNIQUE AND THE SALAMANDER DAGGER IM SO PUMPED IM STILL SHAKING!!!!
This boss is insane and it's much harder than any boss from Elden Ring IMO... I can't believe you encounter it almost at the start of the game...
i wanna know what you are smoking
U crazy putting him over any boss lol
Honestly a really helpfull guide , thanks :)
Nice strat circling him for back dmg!
Thanks BL 😄👍
I’m on like round 15 with this mf, gonna try this tomorrow, I gave up for tonight lol
Tell me how it goes 👍
@@Elbethium will do
@@Elbethiumquestion, where can I farm throwables? Or is there anywhere to do that? I can’t really find anyone selling them besides the ones I’ve bought out lol
@@Cheddar_96 at the Moonlight Town, that first little batch of enemies and jump across that crumbling bridge
@@Elbethium oh ok I’ll check it out when I get back on, thanks
Extremely helpful thank you :) I am doing an ADV build, can say that the Salamander Dagger seemed to help too.
Anything fire will do great
I’m doing the same thing and i’m really enjoying the salamander dagger. It has a really good moveset, it’s fast and deals a lot of damage. It happens to be pretty good in this boss fight so i’d recommend using it.
Motivity sucks. It feels bad having a load of slow weapons when compared to all the nifty gadgets the other specs get, at least this far.
@@DamnDaimen That’s unfortunate man. Some of these bosses and mini bosses are pretty damn aggressive so I wondered how the hell would I beat them with one of these extremely slow strength weapons. I went with advance and there’s only a few advance weapons for most of the game. I think I only found four of them in like 22 hours. There’s not as many options but they’re pretty good weapons.
@@grimreefer213 For context, I was stuck on the bishop boss for quite a while when I wrote this.
I've since beaten him, by just chilling out and actually doing the perfect blocks. But slow weapons still feel suboptimal for bosses. One shotting trash mobs still feels good though
Dog walked him in the first fight. Then phase 2 kicked in. Oh pure soulslike why do I lure myself in not expecting your dirty tricks. Fight #2 coming tonight
Did this third time getting the fire arm really helps as well as legion magazines and the Specter this fight is a cakewalk
second try. thanks for the video :)
It’s a soulsborne game baby! Let’s get some got him on second try it was pretty close def got that soulsborne on the edge fighting for my life feeling
Beat him after my 13th try lol. Just came here to see what I could have done differently
Thanks for this video. Definitely gonna help me when I give this boss another go. I’m determined to beat this asshole one way or another.
My absolute pleasure to help! Let me know how it goes, beat of luck
@@Elbethium I beat him first try after farming thermite and using flamberge. I didn’t even know that you could hold LB and grindstone with the flamberge to get a free unlimited one use flame buff on your weapon. That combined with throwing 5 thermites at his second phase did away with him super easy. Thanks man🙏🏼
To the man who made this video.!! I love you 3:28
The flameberg obliterates him
Done around 30-40 fights with him and I always die with his special in second round or when he has about 200 health left on 2nd round, what a headache
The only thing embarrassing is my inability to beat him 😢
What a wonderful idea. Earning the likes! You earned a sub and a like today, my friend. Your humility is humbling to me. Thank you.
Thank you SO MUCH for that, really 🥹👍 i just want to be a different kind of a youtuber.
I need to earn things, while also, respect your time and never waste it. Needless to say, this approach is not successful, but i will never change who i am for yt fame 😄👍
@Elbethium I know it! I give the secrets of enlightenment and spiritual freedom for free and still no one watches it. World is funny that way. Typically, only the people I NEED show up. Looks like for now, you only NEED 7k followers, the rest will come when you need them.
After 8 fights, finally beat him using salamander dagger+booster glaive. Non stop attack while specter act as tank.
bro i am losing my mind trying to beat this thing. i leveled my salamander dagger to +4 and even after grinding 5 thermites i still cannot do it. send prayers
I cannot get to that boss for the life of me. The cathedral is like a crazy maze.
The surprise 2nd phase was the most Fromsoft feeling ever
I love you man
Haha love you too buddy 😄👍
Use a great sword and just block and heavy attack. Takes a little while to get the timing down but once you do you can easily break his posture
Ohhhhh i suck okay that actually explains a lot
I like how you point out the weaknesses of these bosses - but tbh a guide that includes consumables, let alone if they are limited like here, is just half useful.
THANK YOU SO MUCH BRO
This is one of the most ridiculously punishing bosses Ive ever seen, esp that 2nd phase. I miss Gael and Ludwig
i found easy way to kill this boss. i beat him easy with upgraded heavy weapon and flamethrower arm. i was close to him all the time hitting him with sword and blocking sometimes, and most important in phase 2 I lit him with fire arm all the time didnt stop at all. you can also buy electric stuff or if you have fire stuff to throw on him and equip yourself with 4x legion magazine so you can recharge your arm
Easiest method by far is using the Salamander Dagger. I upgraded it to +3 and got him first attempt without using those damned thermite cells. I wish I had tried it earlier!
To anyone reading this: It works, try it out! 😊💪 Saw your comment after I had posted mine (same tip haha) - great recommendation! 😃🙏
Phase 1 is really easy, Phase 2 is RNG bullshit, even when he does the same attacks as phase 1, the timing changes so you cannot parry. He does like 8 him combos an a 3 stages rush with a red attack, hate this boss.
I died 3 times to this boss, but got him in first try after this video
Fantastic work on your behalf. Guides mean nothing without the player 👍
Bruh this boss is insane, im on try #20+ and still not getting past the 2nd half of the 2nd phase!
Tryna farm thermite at the moon light town but i only got 1 thermite out of 10 respawns 😂😂😂
I've done it about 50 times and not even close to beating it.
Bro earned a sub
This boss is seriously stressing me out to a point I’m thinking of selling the game. I’ve beat a few souls games now but this just takes the piss.
First phase is easy, the second just become near on in workable
😂😂 I’ve just beat him lol
Guys, for gods sake just upgrade the Flamberge Legion Arm. I got clapped by him on my first two attempts, remembered Flamberge existed, and melted him on my next attempt with no effort. Honestly, if you struggle with this boss, it's because you're not using your resources. You have a fucking flamethrower. Use it.
I've gotten so close to beating this boss multiple times and I constantly fail... I suck😂
Bro I had him on fire with a pinch of his health left and died. He had torun out of health as my screen changed to load me back in. Closest I've gotten since then is 2nd phase half health. Atleast died 30x
@@user-isntavailable seriously understand your pain bro! Doesn't help how the specter is getting bodied by his first phase too never mind the 2nd🙄
Literally ran out of all my star fragments twice Ina row and still haven’t beaten him
@shawkkkeith1780 stick wit it man. I ended up smashing him someone. Had 4 heals left and specter was even still alive
I went up and smacked it SUPER hard with the great sword that turns into a glaive. It's a broken weapon.
Whoever made this boss remember what low tier gods famous saying and do as he said
It was weird the first time fighting him I literally ended phase 1 in about 30 seconds and I immediately thought wow that dude was easy I’m a beast and then I saw him change into phase 2 and I was thinking phase 1 was so easy I got this but nope that phase 2 is nasty and it seems as though his health is much harder to deplete and maybe it’s cause the specter died near the start of phase 2 but regardless phase 2 is no joke and I’m a level 54 right now on my first play through which feels pretty high but so far I’ve fought him two or three times and decided I’m going too sleep for the night and will slay this monster when I wake up !
I love you men ty so much
My pleasure 😄👍
I finally beat this boss after one day the key is to block on every hit, hit him twice and then back away and remember to block his attack cause he'll charge to do his slam moves, then after you see the white sign it's a weak spot to hit him super hard to stun him for a red kill that's the first phase.. phase 2 go behind him and continue the same movements as i said and you should be able to beat him, oh watch out when he charges a blue attack stay as far away as possible and then he passes out then go for the kill..
this boss reminded me of oogdo bogdo
@@grimreefer213 I mean I agree. Tbh I just hate the phrase gitgud.
One big tip - in the 2nd phase when he does that big charge attack , stay under him , and once he does that u get like 5 free hits because he's on the floor
Absolutely didn’t work for me
@@CherryDrop101 idk why's that , when i beat him i stayed under him and the charge attack didn't hit me
Haha I’m good now mate I finally did it.. was definitely stressing out when I wrote this the other day 😅😂
@@CherryDrop101 nice , good job, at this point i'm at the last 2 boss fights. Been there for 2 days lmao
beat him on 7th or 8th attempt... im running motivity build, nothing fancy, just wrench with baton handle and just straight tanked him in the face with blocking and occasional dodge... once you get his timing down, first phase is fairly easy... i could do it without healing... second phase is bit more healing intensive... but same applies... tank his ass, ignore the lil dude... i have even forgot to use the fire grindstone, which i was saving for the second phase, so regular dmg is good enough
Finally beat him 💯
My biggest pain was, when I almost beat the boss and then died from decay...
Can't believe I wasn't using flamberge, beat him first try after switching to this legion. Just spam it when it has agro on your specter

thermite and throwing cells and dear specter. without you cant do it unless you study it for quite some time
