Another great job. That a is a slick touch you did with the blue stuff next to the polished surface, nice. Makes me want to go polish my pliers! Tell Chuck he works too hard, polishing al those little grip lines!😂
Wow! The pilers were an incredible mess but it looks great now! I like the bluing on the handle as it gives a nice contrast to the restored and polished surfaces. Thanks for sharing this.
You definitely have an eye for detail. Those pliers are beautiful. I need to get myself one of those skinny belt sanders. I mainly restore framing and trim hammers, and I occasionally make things from scratch. You are very talented and you do excellent work.
Those pliers came out great Magdad, loving the blued handles, I'm working on a real basket case pair at present that were my Grandfathers, I'd be delighted if they came out half that good ! Must get me some of that Evaporust !
@@357magdad I'll try to remember to when I finish it, that may be a while though ! I'm hoping to start posting them on Instagram in due course ! Thanks for the encouragement !
Hi Magdad , Nice Job 👍 As Usual . It's Funny I Just Got A Pair of Needle Nose Pliers Myself . A Klein 310-6C . No Longer in Production . Mine Were Rusted Shut Too. Paid A 1.00 at the Flea Market ! Restored.
What a great pair of pliers for a restoration like this. The jaws and cutter look unused. At a yard sale, most people would walk passed a rusty, seized up pair of needle nose like these and think they were junk. Your fiber wheel and conditioning belts made them look new again. You’ve proven over and over again that tools like this can be cleaned up and made to be “better than new”. Maybe that can be your new catch phrase. Thanks.
I had a brand new pair of Linesman Pliers that were shiny and new on the outside but "Patina" on the inside.......After a soak in WD-40 they work great, who would think that new pliers could be rusty on the inside and pristine on the outside.
That’s definitely a complete transformation! Those would’ve been destined for the scrap heap. Looks like they were used maybe once or twice and then tossed aside for years and years. They really look great and the blueing was a nice edition.
On display again the nice look of polished finish and blued finish on some tools. I do like your approach to not wasting the Evaporust when a quick knock off with the wire wheel can get so much of it off. Reduces your costs. So many tools to rescue, so little time.
That was a wonderful transformation. I like needle nose pliers with knurled handles and they turned out great. These pliers look like they are very handy.
After a tool has been de-rusted, what is the best thing to put on the bare metal to prevent future rust. I’ve tried clear spray lacquer, dulls the finish. Tried WD-40, doesn’t last. What do you use? Great channel, outstanding work.
Thanks for watching! If I'm going to store or display the project I give it several coats of paste wax. If the tool is going to be a user, I soak it in oil or CLP and wipe it down.
Very nice restoration. I like how the blued handles improved the finished look. I have a Flitz question. My jar has turned into a complete liquid. I have to stir to combine ingredients each time I use it but it remains runny. Is this normal? My tubes never did this as they remain a paste.
Outstanding job! I have a few pliers like that that I inherited from my pops. They are great tools. Yours look even better and more versatile than mine.
Wow! The polished look with the blued handles is awesome!! Beautiful work as usual bro 👍 on your wall I’ve seen displays of tools that you have restored in the past, but do you put some of these tools in your toolbox and use them on a every day basis? If you do would you have time to do a toolbox tour of the tools that you have restored? That would be cool to see that. Hope you and your family are doing amazing. Joe's Shop introduced us all to the fiber wheel. I wouldn't say it replaces polishing, but it can give a decent finish. I've got a video review: th-cam.com/video/JGoTHGXOJuY/w-d-xo.html
Love the final bluing…don’t think the previous owner ever used those pliers…the little curved area right under the pivot joint always gives me problems, nice to know about the belts you use….fun video!
I have set of pliers and they were seized up. I tried wd40 with no luck so I happen to have used motor oil from my riding mower. I soaked it in there for 2 weeks can out moving freely.
We’re those a pair of needle nose pliers? When you got done with them they looked like a surgical instrument! Great Job as always MagDad! Also thanks for revealing your image in one of your earlier videos! I just knowing who the great is making the videos. Now we need to work on Tom Gunn! 😊
Great Job on Restoring the Needle Nose Pliers and the name Rugo was not a bad Brand of tools they were good for the average home or shop use .. well it was nice to see Mr Chuck back in the Shop again Hey Take care and lets see whats up for next Sunday could it be the Red Round headed Screw Driver ??????
WOW, your idea of putting heat shrink on those wire wheels - GENIUS !
The concentrated bristles do a nice job in tight spots and around lettering!
@@357magdad A great reuse of another tool! I'm doing it today for a future task.
That has to be the best Evaporust challenge entry I have ever seen…. 😃👍

I like the look of just the sanding belts In the last Ad picture there is a small signal lantern I have one hanging in my shed
The pliers looked pretty good after the 120 grit belt!
“Oozing Patina” is my new favorite heavy metal band name.
Next time I show the patina ooze, I'll have to have some heavy metal playing!

Those are great. What a good use of time to get them back to life. You do a great job.
Thanks Michael! Cleaning up old tools is fun!
As much as I love watching & learning how you deal with the complex ones, sometimes these simpler restos are more rewarding. Thanks for this.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
A great restoration mate. Nothing more satisfying than oozing gunk from the pivot point on a pair of pliers/cutters, etc.
Thanks Shed Man! Watching the liquid patina ooze out of the pivot is very satisfying!

What a drastic change, from junk to treasure. I like the bluing effect.
Thanks Ernie! The blued handle look good with the polished jaws!
Nice video. This is the type of tool clean up i do most often, but I cannot do it as well as you can.

Nicely done Bud!! I like the addition of the music, perfect selection and volume!! I'm sure the Mrs. had something to do with that!!☻
Thanks RoadKing! Mrs Magdad does a great job editing!
Great job. That paste gave the handles a really nice dark finish!! Thank you!
