I’d love to sit with my Mom….she and my Dad died of Covid three weeks apart in April of 2020. I miss them so very much. My Mom taught me to knit socks which is my crazy obsession…..I thank her every time I finish a pair. Thank you, Ruth…you are such a dear, kind person!

Hi Ruth. I voted the long videos because I thoroughly enjoy knitting with the wonderful TH-cam bloggers I subscribe to, like yourself. But on occasion I’m so lucky enough to get to spend time with my lovely daughter, who works in a yarn shop, and lives and breaths knitting, herself. An hour with my favourite TH-cam bloggers is the best way to spend my evenings knitting, but a day spent with my daughter, knitting and chatting is sheer bliss!
    Cheers, Jen xx

I would like to knit with my grandmother. She crocheted, but I taught myself to knit. She died when I was ten, but I think we’d have a great time together working on our crafts. Love your podcast, as always. I’m glad to know someone else can have challenging moments knitting. Grateful for your devotions at the end. They have been a real comfort to me lately.

Another lovely episode, as always. I always feel like a good friend is just chatting away telling me what she made that week. As to whom I would love to sit and knit with, I really wish I could knit with my mother again. She taught me how to knit when I was 7, and up until the age of 13 or so we would sit under a tree during the summers and knit away together. And then I became too cool to hang out with her and we never really knit together again. I grew up, got married, had 4 gorgeous daughters, and realized I never was cool in the first place and these days get my kicks from sitting and knitting (and a bit of whisky on the weekends). My mom passed away 14 years ago and now I wish I had gotten over myself a lot quicker and knit with her more.

I love your podcasts. You often make me smile and I have to admit I talk back to you!
I would love to knit with my Nan and her sister. They fought (good natured) and were hilarious.
Thank you for not following up on never knitting again! 😂

As a teenager I had my dream Saturday job working in our local wool shop. I often worked with 2 ladies called Edna & Glenys. They were both so kind to me; Glenys would often pop out to the butcher next door to buy us pork pies to have with our cup of tea! Forty years on Id love to have a cup of tea & sit & knit with them both.

I would love to knit with my grandma. I never had the chance to bc she passed but I remember her knitting away on a green blanket that I wish was still around. When I get to heaven I will love to sit and knit with her.

No one in family was a crafter, aside of my grandmother who crocheted.
I'd love to knit with Eleanor Roosevelt or Michelle Obama. They both seem like they'd be fun to spend some time with.
And thank you for showing so many shawls! I love making shawls because I know they'll always fit!

I would like to sit and knit with my father. He was an excellent knitter and taught me how to knit when I was a child. He would be so amazed at all the wonders of the knitting world now that just wasn’t around when he was alive. We would have lots to talk about!

I would love to sit and knit again with my Mom. She taught me to knit and would patiently fix my mistakes. In the the latter years of her life, her vision became bad and it was I, who was helping her with her mistakes.

I would like to knit with my daughter. She died 2 years ago much too young. She did not knit but was very crafty, weaving, painting and generally making a beautiful home. I think of her often whilst knitting. Happy memories. Sarah xx

I would love to sit and knit with Hazel Tindal. She makes amazing fair isle garments and I also love to hear her speak with her lovely Scottish accent! She has also won awards for the fastest knitter, so I would love to see that in person!

I would love to knit with my Grandma. She was a homemaker, Baker, knitter and everything else besides, but she was born in 1898 and this was expected of her. She brought up her eight younger siblings as her mother died shortly after the last was born. It was a hard life, no mod cons of course. She dreamt of being a nurse but wasn’t allowed as she was needed at home. She’s been dead nearly 40 years now, but I still remember wearing her knitted cardigans and jumpers to school.

I would love to have time again to knit with my mum. When I was young she didn’t have much spare time. Then while I was working I had limited time. So we never really just sat back and knit and chat together. I’d love to experience that with her. And my other fav is to knit with all my podcaster “friends”. Seriously I receive so much pleasure watching all you podcasters who so generously give of yourselves and time xox

I would love to sit and knit with my mom. She passed away in 2020 and she loved to knit socks for my dad. I still have some pairs she knit for me. Absolutely adore your podcast and share your love for shawls!

I would love to sit and knit with my dad. He spent a lot of years as a child in a sanatorium for his health and was taught how to knit and sew, but he loved making his own socks on four needles….he passed away in ’91, but yes would love it if I could sit with him and knit now….x x x 🥰

I would love to knit with my frien Kate. She and I were neighbors for a few years and were such knitting buddies. About 12 years ago we both moved to different states ...not a couple blocks apart like before. We keep in touch. But...I would love to knit with her again.
Your shawl is beautiful and I sure enjoyed your podcast!
