Hi Ruth i always enjoy your podcasts. Seeing your dad and listening to him was a real treat, my dad has been gone many years ,im sure you cherish all the moments you have with your parents. On my needles i always have socks, im working on a cowl also, and of course a shawl. Your shawls are beautiful! Ty for sharing
At the minute I have 3 pairs of socks and baby knits. GIFTAWAY. I got the Tolsta Tee pattern but got in a real muddle with the short row shaping as well as left or right increase. I need to try again and concentrate. That colourful cowl is gorgeous. I joined in too and had never knit a cowl before but I will definitely be wearing mine this winter. I love Twinsetand purls. Such lovely women. What a special man your Father is x
I love a long podcast, I find then relaxing and gives me an excuse for more knitting time 😃I’m currently knitting off all my socks in preparation for advent season ❤

Half + Half Triangles Wrap with Spuni yarn that I bought on our trip to Iceland this past summer. It's going to be huge and cozy and lovely and warm. Our winters are not that cold, but it is a lot colder in our houses than outside lots of evenings.
I just finished a large crochet blanket so I needed a new project. I made my son a hat last winter it was way to large for him. He gave it back to me, I forged it and it’s now on my knitting needles as a new hat for him. It’s the Hill 60 hat. I enjoy your podcasts and the devotion at the end. God Bless you.

Love knitting along whilst listening and watching your podcasts. Nearly caught up with all your previous episodes. You have converted me to shawls and also I’ve really embraced your ethos of ‘its my knitting I’ll cast on if I want to!’ Currently have 3 pairs of socks, 3 shawls and two dustemoffmals on my needles. Tonight’s cast on is the Easy squeeze shawl, a free pattern from revelry I think, which I’m knitting with a charity shop purchase of Twilleys bubbly 100% mercerised cotton yarn from 1976!
Gift away, yes please. I am finishing off a Dreyma by Jenn Steingass using my homespun from my daughter's Gotland ewe, and the Dreyma sweater is for this daughter. Loving the cycle of connections, just as you do Ruth.

So kind of you to do these g-aways ! For the past several months all I seem to be able to knit are socks and Musselburgh hats. Mind is full with other no so pleasant things these days unfortunately. Thankful to have my mindless knitting. And thankful for you!

Hi Ruth, love a longer podcast. I have 4 wip's on the needles/hooks at the moment, crochet scrappy C2C blanket, crochet mittens, knit baby jacket and a knit sweater for my husband. They have all been more or less on hold for the last 4 weeks while I was doing the Stephen West Mkal, very happy with the end result after the false start. Xx

Hey Ruth! I have so much fun and get a ton of inspiration from your podcasts and the longer the better! I absolutely love the giftaways concept.Thanks for asking what's on my needles. I will just list the top 4 for all our sakes. I believe I have misspelled or missnamed some of these listed - please forgive me it's past my bedtime!.

Oh Ruth, how nice to be introduced to your lovely dad, he has had a very interesting life, and l would say not many people would look back and not want to change anything at all.❤ Great podcast as always, and you have been busy! I am trying to finish some colour work gloves, a purl soho half and half wrap using last years advent calendar from Camels Yarn (just started colour 23 l am loving it!), and of course a pair of socks, lastly the sweet shop blanket from Penrose Knits. I currently working on socks for the Little Drop of Wonderful Strictly Sock Along 2023. My big project is an afghan as part of classes at my LYS called blanket of knowledge monthly subscription where we get yarn and a new technique to learn each month.
That first shawl is gorgeous!! Love the little simple cowl, let’s the yarn shine. I wear cowls and fingerless gloves around the house.

That yarn for the giftaway is absolutely stunning ❤ and so is the bag. They match so well. I've been sample knitting for my LYS and test knitting for Twinset and Purl (scarf) and Eweknitty (socks) so all my WIPs - 15+ 🫣😄 - have been put to one side.

Currently I have one musselburg hat, a Christmas stocking and a shawl for charity on the go right now. That yarn and project bag are simply perfect together!
What I have on my needles right now is a swatch I am knitting up to do some teaching of young children so they can see what their basic stitches could look like. I would love to be in the gift away…. I just love your podcast which my husband often watches with me. Many thanks.

I live in Southern California so its rarely cold enough for knits, but my feet are always cold! I would love to receive the gift.

I was so proud that my mum, before she died 5 years ago, had been a Methodist Preacher for 50 years. My grandparents were also great Christians. So grateful for the wonderful upbringing they gave me. Used to read the lessons for mum, along with my sister, when she was preaching. Good memories. God bless

On my needles is a sweet little baby sweater for a friend's second baby, using Sirdar 3956 Cardigans and Hats. Baby sweaters are always so much fun to make. :) And I'm making a scrappy Christmas blanket with all the leftover yarns from other Christmas projects.

Hi Ruth, your podcasts always makes me smile, we have a new puppy too, only 10 weeks old and keeping me so busy that I’m barely getting any time to knit, however on my needles currently I have a cable cushion front for my grandson’s, I’m longing to knit another pair of socks as soon as time allows. Your puppy is adorable, looking forward to hearing more about his antics as the year progresses.
I forgot to tell you how much the interview with your dad blessed my husbands and my heart! My husband is a gifted Bible teacher and he immediately noticed titles of good books on your dad’s book shelves. He also gave an amen to your dads advice about finding and doing God’s will for your life! This is something he tells all his classes too! Your dad (and you also) are an inspiration of service to us all! Listening to your testimony halfway across the world (we live in Iowa in the states) is a reminder of how wonderful Heaven is going to be! We are yoked together in Christ and so we are all family! God bless you immensely! ❤️✝️🙏

Hi Ruth, I so enjoyed the talk with your father, what a blessing. Gorgeous projects and new or new to you yarns. Puppies sure do like to test the waters, I remember coming home to stuff all over too, lol. I am working on too many things. One I would love to finish by Christmas is a Drops pattern 3-21 men's cardigan. Also a large diagonal garter blanket with 3 strands of scraps. Have a terrific and blessed week.

I do a lot of charity knitting, and am in the process of making shawls for aged care homes, which makes me very happy as I love drooling over all the shawls you show, but normally don’t have a need for them. Now I have to go buy the coastland shawl pattern 😂. I so envy your white, not grey, hair and think it goes with everything. Lots of love from Queensland,Australia .
I have another pair of socks on needles, and I have knitted 20 pairs this year. I just love sock yarn. The colours you can get nowadays are amazing !!!
I’m knitting fingerless mitts for all my kids their spouses and the grands for Christmas currently making a pair of the paddle mitts by tin can knits. Btw Ireland is on my bucket list for 2024 😁😁
