    My First Action Camara was/is the miniature, £25, "Mini DV" camera, (zillions of years ago)! The second one, when the Action Camera market exploded, was/is my, (and everyone else's favourite!); £45, "SJ Cam SJ4000", with an added Mic input (which we all did!), but needed to be stabilised in the editor! So my next one with excellent inbuilt stabilisation was/is my trusty, £80, "Campark X20", which I still love, (and occasionally gets strapped to my crash bars/handlebars!). The next disaster was/is the £50, "Lead Edge LE4000" which failed completely in the stabilisation department, but which I purchased only because of its provided plug-in Mic, and is now gathering dust in my garden shed!! My present delight is my trusty, £100, "Victure AC920" with its provided plug-in Mic, and perfect stabilisation! I constantly think, (in my dreams), about expensive, GoPros, DJIs, 360-degree stuff, etc, but at £100, my Victure AC920 does all that I ask of it, so why should I go and blow another £500+, on a snazzy new action camera, I ask myself?..(answers in a plain brown envelope!)...LOL...! Actually, I think that most of our; "Stabilisation problems" relate to our use of the camera fixed to our helmet, and therefore suffer from being spun around with our heads! Sometimes, a little bit of "movement" in the video, emphasises the reality of the journey!...LOL...! Take care, everyone...and be SAFE!....😊...😊....!

      Thankyou for your comment Paul, I agree some of the cheaper cameras do the job perfectly well. I almost purchased a SJ Cam SJ4000 a few years ago, they were very popular. Take care and ride safe Mate. 😎

    Looks good buddy. Little tip: try to get the camera the same angle as your visor when it's shut, and that should get it about spot on.

    This is a very nice camera. Have it and I made more than 150 videos with it. I like it a lot, really a good one. It is not going to overheat. I tried it also when it was 31 or 32 outside. I would recommend it to everyone. You got my like here. Just keep up mate.

    Grats on the new camera. Aye, unfortunately all the cameras with digital stabilisation do crop a bit, it is why I stick with GoPro TBH, as they have a wider field of view lens so you don't notice the cropping so much. You were getting good audio there, was that from the Osmo?

    • @MRTPR
      @MRTPR  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In the next video I have adjusted the angle slightly, which is better but not as good as the go-pro. There is a new Osmo action three which has a wider field of view so I believe. The audio is from my external recorder, I bit more work but I am very happy with the results. 😎

    DJI makes some good cameras and are often discredited. Gonna think that company does so much more such as drones which is why I think sometimes they fail to keep up with GoPro in the action segment. But in all reality this does everything a hero 8 black can do and that’s more than enough for a motovlogger I feel like. Great job man.

    I've had my DJI Action cam for 2 or 3 years now, and really like the stabilisation. Took a while before the mic adapter came out, but once it did the DJI became my number one camera for sure. I still use my old gopro cameras as 2nd or 3rd cams. Like you said they're also solid and reliable.
    I've had two issues with the DJI. One is that it often needs to have the time and date reset, and once it reverted to the Mandarin (I assume) written language. Weird I know. I had to watch a couple of YT videos to figure out where the factory reset was 'cause I have no knowledge of written mandarin. Once I sussed that it reset and I haven't had that problem again.
    Great video mate.

    I'm currently switching over to DJI as I'm tired with the issues with GoPro. I bought a used Osmo Action and it has performed incredibly well. The only thing I miss is the ability to zoom in when I'm shooting a tech video. You're going to love this camera!

    • @MRTPR

      Yes I am very happy with it, I love the stabilisation, just miss the wide angle lens with rock steady on, but I can work around it 👍

  • @Banditmanuk
    @Banditmanuk 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I like DJI products, also got the Mavic Mini 2. The camera is a great camera, I've ordered the Action 3.
    Honestly couldn't get on with the newer Gopro in regard to reliability and lost files. Still got the Hero 4, last of the really reliable Gopos.
    Honest opinion, I personally like a wide field of view when riding, it's why I use 150 degree single lens on my Insta camera that's stabilised. Problem is that's not close to 4k quality.
    The Action 3 has the super wide stabilised view, its just a question if you can make the Action 1 work for you. Its undoubtedly a great picture. 👍

    I considered an Osmo when replacing my Drift. I've got a DJI drone and the quality is amazing, so seemed like a good potential. I went GoPro because they had a really good deal on but would certainly consider one of these for a second camera.
    The footage looks pretty good to me. As you say, a little low on the angle. I agree with you about the narrow FOV but the stabilisation definitely makes that workable.

    • @MRTPR
      @MRTPR  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the new footage to come in the next video there is a big difference with the slightly different angle, you just don’t see the bike. Still not as good as the go pro but manageable. I think the stabilisation is well worth it. I would be interested to see how the new osmo action 3 is as I think they have the wider view. 😎

    This seems to be perfect for the older rider....well it's got 'stabilization' 👍 To be honest I did not even notice the lack of the wide screen view but it probably depends on what you're used too, also I have only associated the DJI with drone cameras so was actually unaware they made dash cam stuff, so my education continues. Ride safe.
