I am not as tall as you but weight almost the same. I rode my new (back then) 2011 Vespa GTS with a tall windshield and it will do 88 mph(on the speedometer) and 77 mph on the GPS. The speed was limited. Great video as always and I agree, the quaility and the ride of the GTS 300 is perfect for city riding, is too smooth.
I found my 2022 GTS 300 to be quicker with the medium-height windshield installed than with no windshield. Not saying that would have made a huge difference, but it would have helped.
depends on what u are after. beeing seen or having 2road fun. cause when u sit on it, u dont see yourself 😉 optic is for me less importamt, that i would agree on complexttly nuts prices (🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️) way too little power, bad topspeed, rust & fuel pump problems ever since and horrible suspension even at a brandnew bike. a lot of people dont know these things. 'cause its so pretty" and few point it out. so its just fair to put the finger on it 😃 but everyone its own choice of course! 🙃
and. is it so pretty? front is cosa if u have a close look rear is way too high, the engine optically falls out, most of the tyre is visible... and barely cheeks anymore. the saddle like a tongue.. its barely a typical vespa a redesign would be urgently needed agter 20y (or so) this could be done way better. with honoring the classic vespa design it would hit in like a bomb 🤣🍻
Big differebce between the SH 300 and the GTS300. Maybe the Honda has less weight and since it has bigger wheels, thiner tyres and a protective glass in the front (that favours aerodynamics) it could explaind the large performance difference. Pretty disapointed by the vespa since it is a 300cc bike. A Honda PCX125 performe almosy the same!
i knoq with the pcx. its the better choice for city for very little bucks actually the vespa is 6kg lighter 163kg vs 169kg lets have a look at px it also was never about POWER but the price of a gts... px was cheap back then its also the power 22hp vespa 27hp honda but still.. both 278cc
The 300 vespa is the choice of theives as it can be crashed multiple times and still look presentable dur to the metal bodywork

and big respect to piaggio, the CVT is set perfectly. so well, that it seems to be way much power than it actually is (esp hpe. vid2come!)

Piaggio should make a vespa with a Honda engine. Even my dog knows that Honda engines are the best.... Love the Vespa anyway....

I like my wheels big. The Honda I have
