I’m assuming that you have the high angle spacer block. I didn’t know I needed that and tried sharpening mine for so long without getting to the edge 😂😂. Was wondering on the thickness of the spacer as I can make one without waiting on shipping
Thanks for reaching out! Yes the KME Spacer Block is needed when sharpening VPA Single Bevels due to the 35 degree bevel angle on our heads. The spacer block is 3/8". We have them in stock and ready to ship on our website: vparchery.com/collections/broadhead-sharpener/products/accessory-spacer-block
Thanks for reaching out! Yes for our single bevels you need the delta jaws to maintain the 35 degree angle. We have them available for purchase on our website: vparchery.com/collections/broadhead-sharpener
@@vantagepointarchery Yes it is! Our deer season opener is the 15th of this month . I’ve been laid up the past 2 seasons so I’m chomping at the bit to sling some meat missiles and filling the freezers.
Applying oil to a stone isn't a new practice - I and many others have been doing it for years. The only issue it has caused is a bald spot on my arm from testing our VPAs before the Indiana whitetail season. If it did have a negative impact on the stone, sacrificing a $12 item every few years for razor sharp broadheads is worth it to me. The game I hunt deserve my best and that includes my broadheads. I would say if you have been successful in getting your heads sharp using water, by all means use it. No question it is cleaner than oil. Thanks for the comment, enjoy the best broadheads on the planet!
Please don't get rid of the single bevel broadheads. Not everybody is interested in New technology. We should just stick with what works. Tuffhead has been a huge disappointment for me and they have designed themselves right out of my arsenal. I'm strongly considering VPA if my tuning will accept a 300 grain broadhead this year. Anything lighter and I'll stick with Cutthroat.

Do you need the delta jaws for VPA broad heads? I’m moving over to single bevel this year and definitely like the 35° bevel for strength.

@@vantagepointarchery Thanks for the fast reply! Can’t wait to order my heads and get to killing some hogs!!!
@@BowHunter74 We can't wait for this season - going to be a great one!

@@BowHunter74 Good luck Chris!
I have this stone and it explicitly says do not use oil, use water only. Do you know something I don't? I shoot VPA broadheads and I am now confused.
