Sounds more like a volcano erupting than an Avalanche. Holy crap it's beastly. Not a fan of that particular model truck but this guy's build and back story make me love it.
As an owner of a 2013 Black Diamond (the last Avalanches made) and having a 02 and a 07 this made me smile from ear to ear 😊😊😊😊😊

I have an 07 and can’t beat the ride quality and space. Would love a 2013 BD. Price to quality I’ll probably look into one before spending 35k+ on a 14 up Silverado crew.

I really used to hate the avalanche but this thing is insane. It looks so mean and he hasn’t even done too much to the body. Im impressed.

I have a 02 Z66 with those same exact wheels, and a few mods: 4:10 rear end from 3:73, a tune, and duel exhaust. glad to see i'm not the only one into building an awesome Avalanche.

Converter I had a a corvette converter in my 383 stroker and loved it. That bitch would kicked. I miss my truck.

I have a Tahoe and I love it. I’ve wanted to throw something else into it and now a 6.2 sounds like such a good idea. And honestly, best looking generation from GM by far.
One thing about the transmission is the shift map has to get adjusted a little bit. That’s the only way to get them to downshift sooner

She sounds good, and clean too. I love a modded car that looks like it shouldve been a package option. I actually just got a 6.0 lq9 out of an Escalade to drop in a 350Z for those same cheap reasons lol. Goin cast iron over aluminum will save u about 3000 and it's only like a 200 maybe 250 lbs weight difference

Badass in silver. I just sold my 07 w built 5.3 txs spd stage3 cam Long tubes ls7 lifters 90mm tb tune built trans 3600 stall awd . Avalanches are awesome

As a new Avy owner myself, I am impressed with what you did to your truck. RIP to yours Pops. I know he is riding with you in it. I love the unassuming look of the truck - classy luxury but a beast under the hood, especially when you switch the exhaust to track mode. I know you called out some of the things you did to it but any plans on listing all and with parts used?

My Trailblazer SS looked stock under hood except for the 4" intake and headers. It had a 416ci LS3 with WCCH LS3 Stage 2 heads. That's why I love LS engines in trucks because they can be hiding so much. I have a LQ9 in my Yukon now that looks completely stock.

It all goes to prove that this is a very versatile and robust platform. My '06 LTZ71 has some good acceleration characteristics for a 5860 lb. vehicle (wet), but nothing as ferocious and intimidating as that 2013.
Hell yeah sick setup have a 2008 Cadillac Escalade ext same body style as that avalanche thinking of doing some similar work to it has a 6.2 as well only thing is that the Escalade i got is awd if I go with that setup I would make more power out of it 💯

I had a 2009 chevrolet Avalanche Lt, It was involved in an Accident not my fault. This morning on the way to work , Did a Dale Earnhardt in the wall twice at 70mph! She saved my life took the hits, Was a beautiful Rig going to miss her deeply..😭

Had a 2010 Avalanche with a 6.2 from the factory. Liked it better than my escalade ext.
5.3 and 8.1. They didn’t make an avalanche with a 6.2 from the factory.
@@thegreataepshow4311 shows what you know, or rather don't. They came in 5.3, 6.0, from 2007 to 2009 and 6.2 in 2010 and possibly other years. A simple google search would have told you that. Like I said, I've owned one .Next time do your research before spouting off, mmmkay?
@@longjohn77 lol. You forgot the 8.1 and it only came in a 6.0 liter on the L76. They NEVER CAME IN A 6.2. I’ve owned 2 previously and own one now.

Love the truck man. Awesome. I got to keep my dads H2 Hummer SUT with the 6.0 in it completely stock when I got it from wheels to interior. Plan to do a lot of what you’ve done to it and keep it classy though like your wheels which I really like BTW. They’re not out there and to crazy looking just nice and classy.
