At the risk of giving this movie _faint praise,_ I _liked_ the teenage daughter Diane. She actually felt like a relatable and sympathetic character being a teenage girl who had to become the woman of the house and is mentally and emotionally torn between the two roles and the actress did well playing her. A lot of people are like this. The sentiment that "fathers know how boys think" is old as dirt. But the implication is that disrespecting other people's boundaries is a quirk inherent to gender, and not a product of an environment which tolerates unhealthy power dynamics and misconduct. "Well I'll give the movie this: I legitimately want to see him dead" Yeah, he perfected this trick in this later years.
Great review Doug. Now rip apart the "Fat Albert" movie.
Fat Albert is what Cosby Big an and powerful before that this A list actresses and models we're Bigger and had more then he did
@@osmosisjones4912 Holy shit Doug actually reviewed the film back in January.
It's such a bizarre-feeling watching Bill Cosby in movies after knowing what he did...
Let's be honest, his films weren't exactly sane before either.
"Going a little fast aren't we?" That's also what his dates said before the pills kicked in.
This entire Movie looks like it was made during the 1970s.
Ben Johnson When was this movie made?
Feral Changeling 1990.
@@sesfilmsllc Holy crap! Thanks but that knowledge, just, this movie is bad!
@@feralchangeling97 lot of his accusations and accussers go back when he was a B list actor .and they A list models an Actresses. When people Respond to all Facts of Accusers with do you really believe 60 can.so there judging based on principle not fact
Gotta say, she nailed that Dorothy.
Warning do not eat during this video. I just spit my dinner out 3 times laughing.
This movie was an inside joke for me and my friends for a few years. I'm glad more people have seen it now.
The cream cheese thing killed me. Now I'm a ghost
The best NC episode in my opinion. I love the White Noise trailer gag towards the middle. An absolute classic.
The only ghost here is Bill Cosby's career in general.
Especially today.
Also, his reputation! 😂
When a thumbnail becomes more appropriate than originally intended.
It's disturbing how fitting that is. Like, extremely disturbing.
22:03
Exactly right.
Unnerving, really.
this was a great review
Me when I first saw this review: huh, her boyfriend's a jerk.
Me today: Hey! Her boyfriend's Bobby Briggs!
I first thought Luigi, but that works too
The only ghost here is Bill Cosby’s -movie- career.
And his career in general
I never understood why Cosby never just concentrated hard enough to pick up a pen or something and write what he wanted to say on paper. It'd be a lot easier than playing creepy mime games with his kids.
The Bunny suit had nothing to do with Bill Cosbys Characters father finding his body again. The only reason he wore it was to conceal the fact that he was a ghost from his kids by pretending to be stuck in it. This isn't a great movie but I enjoyed it when I was a kid and now it's fun to watch for nostalgia. It did have some funny lines.. Cab driver: Eat shit! Bill Cosby: Thanks im trying to quit." Then when Bill Cosby pops through the phone to strangle Diane's boyfriend Tony...Tony: Are you the devil? Bill Cosby: Worse! I'm from the phone company!" lol
this entire comment section is just people taking critic's lines about cosby and showing how much they've dated due to what's happened.
i love it.
And I hate Cosby.
The Offspring Crazy Taxi reference was brilliant ! God I love this show.
Wow Bill Cosby is clean and a good role model, wow this is dated.
P.S I know you didn't know back than what Bill did but it's funny to make fun of him.
+XLastXOneX you don't spend much time on the internet do you?
To be fair, he did say he WAS clean and a good role model. Which, he was. Thankfully the world now knows what this monster is.
Several DOZEN women have come forward
Bite Me while I do believe he was a rapist, and I do believe he raped an amount of women, I also believe a good amount of the allegations are bandwagoning
7:34 is not so dated when Nostalgic Critic says Cosby said he was the devil himself.. Cosby was giving us messages then about his sick demonic behavior..
0:36
"And i'm a ghost."
*hands bang on table*
Insert "Cosby's a rapist" joke here
Like for instance, That scene where he strangles John Lequizamo: He had A LOT of practice.
Jacob Hill honestly, if I was a father, heard someone talk about my daughter like that, and was a ghost, I'd probably do the same thing. Maybe even without the ghost part
ehhh I prefer the sequels: Ghost Dad 2: The Ghostening and Ghost Dad 3: Ghost Dad Takes New York
Wasn't that a CinemaSins thing?
GHOST DAD 4 The sixth ghost
GHOST DAD 5 unghostable
GHOST DAD 6 ghost in the water
GHOST DAD 7 the ghosting
GHOST DAD 8 the last ghostbender
GHOST DAD 9 After ghost
Ghost Dad 2: Rise of the Revenge
Ghost Dad 3: The Legend of Curly's Gold
Ghost Dad 4: What's In My Drink?
+Iambic Pentameter what's in my drink XD
+tmzissupergay GHOST DAD X: IN SPACE
Fun fact: The guy who played the teacher is Broadway actor Brian Stokes Mitchell and that was his first film role. He would also become the singing voice of Jethro in the Prince of Egypt.

You know this review is dated when he calls Cosby a good role model.
@@themalcontent100 Dude Really?

Most teenagers definitely wanted to be Danny phantom.
Well he was like half ghost-
@Golden Freddy Dash: Not “like” a half ghost-𝐴 half ghost!
6:55 That Crazy Taxi reference, tho. They should really remake that game
That game was so fun
@@DrDolan2000 hell yes it was, I'd love a new crazy taxi game
Damn, my Capri-Sun tastes weird. I'm also getting dizzy for some reason.
Rubber Dong I don’t know what that means, but it made me laugh. On the internet, that deserves a like.
It's a joke about how Cosby drugged women
Somebody Help me! Cosby is forcing me to eat a weird looking Jell-O
You've got ten craaazy minutes to.. wait am I in Ghost Dad?!
One of my all time favorite NC jokes!!
25:13, "The more I try to comprehend what was said, the more mentally insane I will become."
TOO LATE!!!
"He was good and he was clean" 2019 me: ohhhh boy
Seems crazy that I'm here exactly 7 years after the original day it aired, and that I'm watching it again. What can I say? I love retro Nostalgia Critic!

Do you want to know a scary thing about Ghost Dad?
The creators of the Tremors films wrote this.
MrCarter0975 That is pretty disappointing
They also wrote Wild Wild West movie, *batteries not included and the two Short Circuit movies. Hollywood is such a smaller place, isn't it?
MrCarter0975 That is scary.
MrCarter0975 I love tremors:(
Wait how?
This aged well .....
Like milk that you forgot about for a whole year.
The one movie that even the Nostalgia Critic no longer wishes to remember.
Kevin Eagle No that was SON OF THE MASK!!!!!!!
2:43 ......... well....... that intro hasn't aged particularly well now has it?.....
9:15 “it's funny how this ghost movie is supposed to be funny, but in a strange way, it's actually kind of creepier than scary ghost movies?”
Could that be because Bill Cosby is in it?
He was clean... and a good role model. Odd to be hearing that nowadays.
