Just got my Wired Freedom 2024.2. My initial thoughts are: big.adjustment coming from 20” fat bikes and motorcycles - not news as all the reviewers have mentioned the size of the bike. Throttle is twitchy and lags, so if you’re in level 5 you’ve got to be ready for when that throttle kicks in. For that reason I kept shifting down to peddle assist 3 and only used 5 for hills or high speed roads. I set the start power to 3 which is the softest start and the throttle setting to match the pedal assist level. Riding full out in 100 degree heat and it did briefly shut down for about a minute after a steep hill. Motor temp hit about 298 degrees per display. Suspension feels nice, lots of travel - so much so that the rear rack hit my tailbone a couple of times. I’m 6’5” with long legs and sometimes sit at the very back of the seat. I’ll have to adjust seat height and suspension settings to see if this will be an issue for me. Overall though, lots of power, climbs hills like it’s nothing, and fun as heck.
You can go in the settings and change the throttle control to cause the throttle to be less twitchy and power to surge gradually at a slower rate . Took me a few months to tweak the settings to how I like them
So glad you mentioned that the Furious bike can be optioned with a 1000w rear motor only. Cuz the more I've heard you and others talk about all-wheel drive e-bikes being very treacherous around turns, especially with loose gravel, the more I want an enike with a 1500w rear hub only.

assuming equal total power consumption and output (since acceleration seems to be similar in spite of difference in wheel diameters), I would think two motors would run cooler both due to lower draw and more surface area to dissipate heat.

I already have the Aventure 2, with a dealer nearby, but I have no Wired example anywhere near me to test ride. I want a second bike, so I never have to wait for a battery recharge. (and the Aventure seat is really hard! lol)
Still waiting on the Wired to arrive my only concern is how to transport this bike because of its size will it fit on a standard bike rack or be too heavy?
Get Young electric mate R bike rack , for fat tire e-bikes up to 200pnds for 2 bikes. Best heavy duty bike rack for weight
Which one has a cushier suspension?
What is the height requirement for that EMX ultimate? Will that fit a 5 feet one person? Thanks
minimum seat height is 31in. 5'1" would probably be okay, its tough to find fat tire ebikes for smaller folks. Magicycle Ocelot is very short bike though.
Does the EMX have motor temp?
With them performing so similar off the line, i wonder if the differential could be which overheats slower.
assuming equal total power consumption and output (since acceleration seems to be similar in spite of difference in wheel diameters), I would think two motors would run cooler both due to lower draw and more surface area to dissipate heat.
No motor temp guage on the furious bike
We dont overheat. We have thicker wires going to our motors and have less draw as we have separate controllers to both front and rear wheel.
Never see the prices as tested in theses reviews?
Spinning ain't winning. Where's your helmets?
Yeah, no helmet at those speeds is pretty dangerous; even for experienced riders.
Easy, Simba.... Both adults in a state that probably does not have a mandatory helmet law for bikes. Wouldn't be my choice but telling other people what to do is not really appropriate in my view.
Nerd
Stfu and stop crying about helms. You weirdos do this in every comments section
You should mind your own business.
Save $50 link doesnt work?
Clear your browser history and try link again
If you already paid for it, you can msg the wired guys and theyll sort it on the backend.
I'm 5'5 do you think that emx style bike is good for a shorter Rider?
@Singerboy yes the smaller frame 20-in wheel bikes are way easier for a 5 ft 5 Rider
The cost?
I would take the Furious if it wasn’t 2 wheel drive. Besides you’ve proved rear wheel and mid-drive motors are the way to go. I’ve never be a fan of front & rear drive set up.
Your wrong, until you try a AWD drive you will never understand how fun and versatile they are. Mid drives are horrible with them always turning your chain.
@@fabulous-ebikes about the response I would expect from a company selling dual motor e-bikes in “Vive le Quebec libre”. merci beaucoup Salute!
@@fabulous-ebikes What about the Furious EMX One-X 60v? That seems like a great choice if you don't want AWD. Can the EMX One-X 60v be purchased with the extra 15ah rack battery?
I'll take the furious for the extra speed and those wheel burn outs..my con would be the battery is not removable..
Just load it up on Papa’s truck already
The seats need to be adjusted higher so your knees don’t hit your chins
Daa
Wire should offer a smaller version like this for smaller women and kids.
A 40 mph ebike for a child? Sounds like a death sentence!🤔
Kids Wired Freedom😂 that sounds like a lawsuit
@@michaelhorton6166 Not for a child but for someone under 18. The full size Wired bike is too big for some adults. A slightly smaller bike would be a hot seller IMO.
ecells, get the 17 inch frame and 24 inch wheels,
Why you doubting speedometer it be by sometime sometimes it be like that 3 mi or 2 mi slow
Anybody get their Wired 2024+ bikes yet? How about has anybody that is going to pick one up at Chicago Warehouse heard anything? Ive got work off this week and just hoping I can align pickup with off time?
Thx for any info anyone can offer! I dont want to bother the Wired crew for this if possible but I have been forgotten by other companies not related at all to Wired (to be clear) and I have small worry if I dont bother occasionally, theyre busy enough to where its possible to get lost in the shuffle, but to be fair, I dont see it being likely with Wired!
Thx for vid with Citizen Paps
They created shipping labels last week and sent people tracking numbers, but still no pickup from UPS or delivery dates.
@@stevenpeavler959 As far as I know the first batch already went out like 2 weeks ago
Same here. Waiting for UPS to pick up the e-bikes as the shipping labels have been created and a delivery date.
@@stevenpeavler959 Ah, ok. Its close to being on its way but makes ya wonder why multiple days in there waiting for UPS to pick up? Hmm, thx for the info!
@@TunaSoda I thought I saw a few new reviews with the dual battery and dated for 6/27/24
Get an Aniioki A8 pro. Might buy a 4th bike 🙄
Dad should lean forward to get more weight on the front end so it doesn’t spin as much
Its time to invest in a go-pro head strap.
just i know a dream .....
Give your dad a helmet please !! :)
Poppa 🐻 bear🎉omg great color. Lol me to fast.
Need a helmet Dad😂
Your dad has a need for speed.. Let me know how he liked them after driving them for awhile..
10.8.24😮
Adult bike ftw!
1500w/3000w means can not be ridden in public in United States with maybe 1 or 2 exceptions in a couple states.
No roads, no sidewalks no trails no bike lanes
correct but in general no where enforces this plus even if they tried it would be impossible to inforce since you can take the name and stickers off and they look the same as your typical 750watt ebike.
You need to Buy a non e-bike
@DaveGonzales-qz4ks and you need to follow the law or be prosecuted and persecuted
As presume you don't.
I have multiple legal ebikes used legally and mountain, road, cruiser and hybrid bikes.
People who flaunt breaking the law due to sense of entitlement or stupidity (like not knowing the laws) are arguably the main reason the United States is being destroyed
I down voted this comment lol 🤡
Seat too low, not good leg ROM.
Who cares
Your Dad looks too big for that EMS ebike...He'd be better with a 26inch fat tire.
so much for safety no helmets…
Lots of power on the flats but with with that front Chainring you have a high top speed, (I'm guessing 56T) but can either these eBikes can climb. Interesting to see what the top speed would be with a 40t climbing chainring.
AWD drives can go up ski hills, you wont need to pedal.
LINK FOR THE FURIOUS EMX DOES NOT WORK!
Fixed it!
