In the right lighting you can see all the scratches from every day use and swirly scuff marks from washing. This is after it was explained that it can be hit by a hammer and leave no marks. Also the car tends to "burn rubber" even though knives have been bent when the tires have been stabbed.
The best muscle car for me, my childhood favorite, the PontiaC Firebird Trans AM, Together with my best favorite car, the NissaN Skyline GTR r34 BNR, both, are the best cars for me ever,😄
That was one of my favorite turbo boost jumps, and I hated that they stuck a commercial break in the middle. Probably to distract from the ridiculous way KITT looses the car on his scanners afterwards.

The house and mansion used in Psycho IV: A New Beginning was made in the early 1990s, years after this episode was made and was constructed at Universal Studios Florida (as a means of promoting the park as a production facility outside of Hollywood). It's more than likely they filmed that at the Universal backlot in California (as they had the house used in various productions, including Psycho II and Psycho III), as Universal Studios Florida didn't exist at the time this show was in production.
The house was also featured in a different strokes episode, when the family visited Hollywood, and Arnold was looking for David Hasselhof (Micheal Knight) himself.
One of the best episodes of Season 3. I will say, as much as I adore the KITTstang from SG, he couldn't slide as fluently as his big brother. KITTPrime was the master of that
that's because despite appearances the KITT 3000 MUSTANG used factory issue ANTILOCK BRAKES and mandatory ANTI HYDROPLANING DRIVE SYSTEM that prevents DRIFTING or as we called it in the 1980's POWERSLIDING
The way he slams the trunk he's going to destroy the mechanism that pulls the trunk lid automatically back. In these cars you're supposed to just put the trunk lid slowly into the pull-down mechanism which pulls it completely down.
Looks like the Hoff actually drove one of the stunt Trans Ams briefly when he slid over the top and jumped in. Look at the little steering wheel. I never noticed that back when this first aired or later when it aired in syndication in the 90s.
So let me get this straight- an old Crown Vic outrun Kitt and out of scanner range just because Knight had to turbo boost through a truck that was in the way? Cheese factor 100, but certainly still one of my favorite childhood shows!

It was just a very fun show & we were just kids who were fortunate to have been at the right age to enjoy it & not criticize it. Fun times back then.

You don't need to be that tall to leap over the top of a car, they're very low set.

It was a regular steering wheel.
The "yoke" wheel was really hard to do stunts with so you they used a little round steering wheel for better control.
