After a few attempts which failed. I confirm as of 28/07/2024 it definitely still works. However I must stress the following or you will experience failures like those mentioned. Speed is of the essence when performing the maneuver or you will fail. Get your ducks all lined up. Make sure you are fully fueled. I quickly refueled as I ran out and the delay was enough to fail the attempt. Make sure you have previously called the Anomaly to your planet above your location as near as possible. Make sure you have your item to transfer ready in exosuit inventory so its ready to hand quickly. Stand next to your vehicle. Summon your ship to land next to the pair of you. Transfer 1 line of items, (that's 10 items) into the vehicle. I failed when attempting larger numbers. Enter ship. Exit ship, this triggers save. Hit Tab & transfer the 10 items back into exosuit. swivel round and enter ship. Take off and head straight to Anomaly using boost only. Never Pulse. The Anomaly needs to have been positioned directly above you previously. As you are entering the Anomaly, switch to Tab, select the item to transfer and hit X whilst hovering over the menu to find your available recipient. At his time you are still in mid air inside the Anomaly. As you are flying inside, any player coming into range will show as available in transfer window and you can transfer. Tab out and you'll see the item transferred on screen. Immediately reload save. This can happen in full even before your skids have hit the deck. If it works you'll appear standing between your ship and the vehicle and you'll have 10 items in the exocraft and your 10 items in your suit. Perfect duplication.. Dont dispair and odnt get frustrated. It does work. YOu need to be smooth and fast is all. Hope this helps.
I can confirm, when you get the tech with the good stats, package it and you can dupe it as a packaged tech. The dupe item is the same with the same stats. Saves going through loads of tech modules finding the good ones
Took me several tries at first, most important thing is to go FAST & FURIOUS when you fly to the Anomaly. If it takes you too long to get there, game will auto-save and when you reload, you'll see yourself in front of the Anomaly. You don't want that to happen.
If it auto saves can you still reload the “restore point” you set? I said “restore point” in the video but then reloaded my autosave. I MEANT to use the restore point though.
@@brainsanitation That's weird, but try again, open your menu just when you enter the Anomaly, and send the item as soon as you can, before your ship stops. Sometimes it doesn't work but it's rare (works for me 90% of the times)
I can imagine! There was a way to exploit the expedition terminal to duplicate the ship(and its tech) but I’m not sure if it’s still working… this way is probably easier.
@@GhostLightXE i did this by accident with one of the figurines the other day, bought it and the game crashed, but it wasn't saved since i didn't create a new savepoint after handing in the mission. So i got back the quicksilver and the figurine was unlocked when talking to the merchant. Guess the ship works the same way, but i'm not ready to complete the expedition again.
There’s a glitch where you can jump out of your ship to make a save, buy a quicksilver item, immediately reload the save and you quicksilver will be back and the item will be marked “available” in the shop
Have you tried with upgrade modules? Doesn't seem to work with modules for me. Other items have the popup for player trading, but no upgrade modules. Edit: right after sending this comment I realized that you gotta trade any dummy item like 1x dirt or whatever, not the actual item that you're trying to dupe. Just clarifying that if anyone else happens to have the same question. And it only worked with Autosave, not with the Restore Point. Waited until an autosave automatically happened and did the thing right after.
@@LandeFTW I do it just how the video says but i placed my minotaur right next to my ship landing pad then would use the terrain manipulator and just tap for 1 dirt hop in my ship and quickly hop in and head to the space anomaly open my inv before i even get to the entrance and let my momentum bring me in while im holding the one dirt till a trade shows up then quickly double tap esc to close the menu and open to the load restore point. Worked every time i tried it this way you can do the whole process right next to your ship without ever moving your character and should only take about 1 min to do the whole process once you get it down.
Yes! I did shoot some footage around that base while recording the landing pad video. I might so off some builds later - but it’s really a big warehouse with the sets for “The Rift” and “GhostLabs” build inside. I built a test shooting range in there too - null is on the targets.
This was a bit hit & miss for me. It failed a few times and worked a couple of times. Here's what worked every time for me.. 1) Have items in suit inventory (1 line only) 2) Use manual save point in base 3) Transfer items to exocraft (1 line only) 4) Hop in & out of ship to generate restore point 5) Transfer items back into suit from exocraft 6) Hop into ship and fly to anomaly ASAP 7) Gift player item ASAP 8) Load AUTO SAVE not restore point ASAP Hope this helps a few of the players having trouble. How did you get it to work? I tried to do it today and the game creates a new autosave when you arrive in the anomaly, thus messing up the save file you create from your ship. I tried manually creating a save from a save point and that did not work either.
@@TaiMizuki Try going as fast as you can to the anomaly (still without using your pulse drive though), or the game might save before you get there. Or they might've patched it now. It worked for me the day Worlds released, so I'd be surprised if HG got rid of it now.
I have done it now 5 times. 1. Exocraft module in. 2. Enter and exit star ship to set auto save point. Put items to be duplicated from exocraft to ship using inventory. 3. Use thrusters to get to Anomaly just out side atmosphere of planet to prevent auto save while moving. 4 Open inventory as I enter Anomaly and trade some thing to anyone. 5. Reload Auto save and end up near exocraft. When I check inventory of Exocraft using the inventory tab there are no duplicates. Am i doing something wrong or are they on to us?
No, since this video there have been a few updates - I know that they adjusted how the inventory saves a bit and you can dupe more than one line at a time - at least before the Adrift update. I’ll do some more testing this week.
IF you have a friend 😢 JK. I had issues transferring some modules in multiplayer. It might be connected to x class modules and where the new player is in the story… not sure though.
AYYYY IT WORKS SO GOOD. i've been duplicating my sharship ai valves and i'm making MILLIONSSSSSSS. it's literally so simple guys once you understand how to do it, you can keep doing it over and over and over so quickly like by the time you know it (depending on what you dupe and how much) you'll have MILLIONSSSS ❤

I notice in the video you _say_ "reload your Restore Point", but then you actually _click on_ the Autosave Which is correct? Im assuming the Autosave but i only saw it for a fraction of a second in your video, so thought i would ask for clarification

Ive tried this more than 10x on Xbox and cant get it to work. I end up back at my exocraft with nothing duplicated. The item I gave away in the anomaly is even back in my inventory. Can anyone lmk if it's working for them still?
I somehow managed to dupe a sentinel ship today. Im still new to the game and have no idea how I did it. The new sentinel ship replaced my starter but the only module it had was a rocket launcher. I traded it in using my frieghter for another ship but i have no idea how to repeat it. Also my friend later bought it at the space local space station at a higher level fully repaired from an npc but when i interacted with it it restarted the quest line and gave me the components before he bought it.

I sold it from my freighter next to a space station and my buddy found it at the space station right after I traded it in. He held up the ship until I could interact with it which gave me the quest again but for another ship. He was still able to buy it but it was a higher class.
Okay, so as ive read in recent comments you load AUTOSAVE instead of restore points ive done everything correctly but the timing, i think cos im on ps5 its just not quick enough cos im using sticks, has anyone managed to do it recently on console? Also does the amount of items matter if its only like 2 items? I know it cant be more than one line but can it be less than a full line?
@@GhostLightXE yea bro. I used to do it all the time and I tried to go dupe some materials the other day and couldn't get it to work. It shows up in the other refiner but the materials haven't been doubling. Tried it a few different times. That's an OG Glitch they could've kept that in 😭
Not patched out but partially. Where before there was no limit, now you can’t do more than one line of inventory at a time. It can be tricky to time right too
@@GhostLightXE That's kinda crucial information worth of an update video, which explains why I haven't been able to dupe shit all this time xD Had a bunch of S-class modules bought and prepared for duping only to fail for hours on end. Edit; Worthy of a pinned comment and description-update that explains this issue too, tbh. Edit2; "One line of items" doesn't seem to work either. I even tried as few as 6 items to dupe in a row in my exocraft, and to no avail.
I wonder if you teleport to your base from the anomaly and do it can you teleport back to the anomaly with the quick return I used to do this years ago for this dupe

Well… there’s a different item dupe glitch that you could do in the anomaly a while back, but some Travellers seek out players with Radiant Pillars (because they seem new) and unload items to be helpful.
Some have been able to get this to work since Worlds, though I’m not yet sure what the secret is. Enough people have asked that I’ll dive back into this once the expedition has quieted down again.
I don't know about anyone else, but this doesn't seem to work anymore. The very few times I enter the anomaly and I'm able to actually send someone an item and then reload, I'm returned to the restore point with all the items wanted duped only being in the exocraft. The item I gave away has been returned to me. Doesn't seem to work anymore as of 23:07, unless someone else can explain in detail what's gone wrong here.
I’m in the process of re-evaluating all of the tech explainers on the channel… it’s a bit daunting but this one has gotten a lot of notice lately. I’ll hit it sooner rather than later.
Slight modification. Make a friend, have them park inside your ground base. Cut out the Anomaly. -PATCHED! ... BUT BADLY.- -Here's the change... they've made it so that your inventory doesn't update when you send an item to someone else, so reloading doesn't dupe anymore. Fortunately, they made it so your inventory doesn't update when sending things to people. That means you can dupe things directly into your buddies inventory. GOOD TIDBIT: It won't work the first cycle if you are grouped with your buddy. It boots you all the way out to the main screen. But if both of you save, you'll both be there when you reload, allowing the trick to work normally.- Final edit: So the above patch is only true if either player is considered in multiplayer. So have your friend join your game, both of you build bases with teleporters. Have your friend reset their game (not a bad idea to do the same) both of you tele to your new bases. Now either of you travel to the others base- whoever has exocraft pads. DO NOT GROUP. Do the glitch as described below. Or just do the above glitch which is slightly faster anyway if you are grouped up, it just requires involvement from your second party.
Clarification: This entire trick hinges off of you sending an item to another player. The game does a "partial save" where it updates your inventory, but nothing else- including your exocraft inventories. When you reload, only your own inventory has been saved BECAUSE of the trade. It's even totally fine if your friend is AFK. But it's much easier without going to the Anomaly.
@@GhostLightXE Thankye. One more detail: you aren't limited to one exocraft inventory. Have summoning pads for each and the dupe glitch gets quite crazy. Kinda glad this glitch is getting around. I discovered it independently some years ago- used it to make boatloads of nanites and money before pointing it out to a 'tuber who was refinery glitching. Thanks for spreading the word!
Just tried it and it worked... until i tried to move the duped items and they just disappeared 😢 Edit: it worked! I was accidentally putting stuff between two different exocrafts 😂
@@Traveler8916-rkthe portable refiner still duplicates the packets (the ones you buy from the scrap dealer) admittedly more hassle but you end up with millions of nanites selling unwanted tech. The same for memory fragments.
Oh, that’s strange. That often means they’re too far away or you’re trying to send an item that they can’t receive. I’d suggest you keep trying. I’m still looking for a good solo method.
@@GhostLightXE idk if this is something you can use. There is an item called suspicious packet. When you open it, it has suspicious tech inside. You can duplicate them using the refiner. But it's hit or miss if you get anything you want
BROOOO!!! I FOUND A WAY TO GET IT! so you go to the scrap dealer in any normal space station and buy the suspicious packet from him the arms one only in order to get weapons there are others as well but to get the infra knife this is it. Then you can refine dupe the suspicious packet to get the infra knife or other arms technology. It takes a minute but it's a lot easier to get. My whole inventory is nothing but technology modules. Make a video man this is great!!

When you land in the anomaly just reload your restore point that way the 10 minute in game auto save timer resets

Yeah - my bad. It’s SUPPOSED to actually be the restore point but the autosave works too if you’re fast enough.

How many items are you trying to dupe? Only change (that I know of) since this video is now you can only do one line of inventory at a time.
I have failed three times now and found out you need to hit the boosters so there is not an auto save. I will try that and see if it works this time

Yes - I’ve done this recently on console. It has been tweaked slightly since this video to make the margin of error much greater
Did they fix this? Nobody seems to load for me anymote until i sit in the anomoly for a minute.
No, still works but there has been a lag with the anomaly loading at times.

@@GhostLightXE yea bro. I used to do it all the time and I tried to go dupe some materials the other day and couldn't get it to work. It shows up in the other refiner but the materials haven't been doubling. Tried it a few different times. That's an OG Glitch they could've kept that in 😭
Yeah, they’ve ignored it so long, I’m surprised they started to care about it now.
Not sure if this is patched or i'm just bad but for some reason when i do the load the modules are still in the exocraft and not duped.
Not patched out but partially. Where before there was no limit, now you can’t do more than one line of inventory at a time. It can be tricky to time right too
@@GhostLightXE That's kinda crucial information worth of an update video, which explains why I haven't been able to dupe shit all this time xD Had a bunch of S-class modules bought and prepared for duping only to fail for hours on end. Edit; Worthy of a pinned comment and description-update that explains this issue too, tbh.
Edit2; "One line of items" doesn't seem to work either. I even tried as few as 6 items to dupe in a row in my exocraft, and to no avail.
What do you do if you load into the anomoly slow, or if there's no one to trade with until you land?
I just don’t get out of your ship and make sure to load the restore point and not the autosave
@@GhostLightXE when I do that after doing all the previous steps, I load onto the planet, with everything in the exocraft and nothing in my inventory.
@@sonofkorol Same happens to me. Land back on planet with everything in craft, nothing on me. I even still have the items I donated to another player.

I’ve tried this multiple times but I can’t get it to work. It seems like it autosaves right before / during entering the anomaly.
Ok I figured it out. I was taking too long moving the mods (moving too many) - move less and cut down the time it takes to avoid the autosave.

I wonder if you teleport to your base from the anomaly and do it can you teleport back to the anomaly with the quick return I used to do this years ago for this dupe
Good question. I though that teleporting triggers a save but you may be able to use your restore point still. I’ll check it out!

Unfortunately, no. Haven’t found a work around for solo play yet - AND I thought 4.63 patched this BUT apparently it just made it harder to do.
Soo... the reason people are strangely generous at the anomaly in rapid succession is likely because they are doing this.. lol
Well… there’s a different item dupe glitch that you could do in the anomaly a while back, but some Travellers seek out players with Radiant Pillars (because they seem new) and unload items to be helpful.

Some have been able to get this to work since Worlds, though I’m not yet sure what the secret is. Enough people have asked that I’ll dive back into this once the expedition has quieted down again.

Struggling, its not working for me. I know i need to be quick. But once i hit the transfer and restore point my item's dont duplicate
Strange. Have you tried alternating between autosave and restore point reload?
I don't know about anyone else, but this doesn't seem to work anymore. The very few times I enter the anomaly and I'm able to actually send someone an item and then reload, I'm returned to the restore point with all the items wanted duped only being in the exocraft. The item I gave away has been returned to me. Doesn't seem to work anymore as of 23:07, unless someone else can explain in detail what's gone wrong here.
Some have posted confirmation since Worlds, Part 1 but this glitch is a little hit or miss since one of the Omega patches.

I’m in the process of re-evaluating all of the tech explainers on the channel… it’s a bit daunting but this one has gotten a lot of notice lately. I’ll hit it sooner rather than later.

Slight modification. Make a friend, have them park inside your ground base. Cut out the Anomaly.
-PATCHED! ... BUT BADLY.-
-Here's the change... they've made it so that your inventory doesn't update when you send an item to someone else, so reloading doesn't dupe anymore. Fortunately, they made it so your inventory doesn't update when sending things to people. That means you can dupe things directly into your buddies inventory. GOOD TIDBIT: It won't work the first cycle if you are grouped with your buddy. It boots you all the way out to the main screen. But if both of you save, you'll both be there when you reload, allowing the trick to work normally.-
Final edit: So the above patch is only true if either player is considered in multiplayer. So have your friend join your game, both of you build bases with teleporters. Have your friend reset their game (not a bad idea to do the same) both of you tele to your new bases. Now either of you travel to the others base- whoever has exocraft pads. DO NOT GROUP. Do the glitch as described below. Or just do the above glitch which is slightly faster anyway if you are grouped up, it just requires involvement from your second party.
Clarification: This entire trick hinges off of you sending an item to another player. The game does a "partial save" where it updates your inventory, but nothing else- including your exocraft inventories. When you reload, only your own inventory has been saved BECAUSE of the trade. It's even totally fine if your friend is AFK. But it's much easier without going to the Anomaly.

Kinda glad this glitch is getting around. I discovered it independently some years ago- used it to make boatloads of nanites and money before pointing it out to a 'tuber who was refinery glitching. Thanks for spreading the word!

Try sending a random item to your capital ship and reload as soon as you do. Try anything to see it it would work

I'll try but the way the mp gift save works is it makes a small save vs a regular save that saves all the data, not just the item traded data
@@Traveler8916-rkthe portable refiner still duplicates the packets (the ones you buy from the scrap dealer) admittedly more hassle but you end up with millions of nanites selling unwanted tech. The same for memory fragments.

Oh, that’s strange. That often means they’re too far away or you’re trying to send an item that they can’t receive. I’d suggest you keep trying. I’m still looking for a good solo method.
@@GhostLightXE idk if this is something you can use. There is an item called suspicious packet. When you open it, it has suspicious tech inside. You can duplicate them using the refiner. But it's hit or miss if you get anything you want
BROOOO!!! I FOUND A WAY TO GET IT! so you go to the scrap dealer in any normal space station and buy the suspicious packet from him the arms one only in order to get weapons there are others as well but to get the infra knife this is it. Then you can refine dupe the suspicious packet to get the infra knife or other arms technology. It takes a minute but it's a lot easier to get. My whole inventory is nothing but technology modules. Make a video man this is great!!
