Jim Brandenburg Sounds like you've never been to the Ozark Mountains in Southern Missouri or to Northeast Missouri. Not flat, not featureless. NE Missouri has fertile, low rolling hills. Yes, rural. It's farming country. And it's only featureless to those who don't know how to see what's there.
I agree Karla. As a Missourian I can tell you Charlie was from the Ozark Hills. Yes, Pat was from Lees Summit (Kansas City), and when he was a kid that would have been wide open prairie and farm land. But I think Charlie and Pat are speaking to the abandoned (population wise) rural spaces, and the feeling of isolation that can come with it.

charlie hade,el mejor de los mejores y pat metheny me enamora,este album es para mi indescriptible,se que durante lagrabacion lo pasaron muy mal,en el sentido que casi emferman ...pue sacaron el alma para hacer una obra maestra con una sensibilidad,y una categoria que casi me atreveria a decir que muchos de nosotros ni nos merecemos...aun asi para mi grandes muy grandes...eternamente agradecido...
