Julie Newbys gardens are gorgous! It would be nice to see a tour of the gardens at Mapperton again. I believe your sweet Mother-in-law did one a few years ago. It would be nice to see it today... from Florida😉
Julie, I'm glad to see you back! This was a sensational video. These gardens remind me of Bellingrath Gardens in Mobile AL with their individual "rooms". The rose garden gave me the feeling of the rose garden at Biltmore in Asheville NC. Again, I truly enjoy seeing these grand houses and estates of Britain. Thank you!
Another wonderful video of beautiful homes! Darcy and Imogene at Constable Burton have made their home into a cozy, welcoming and beautiful place! I like their approach to living with the kiddos and dogs - let them relax and be comfortable. When my foster mother and I visited her daughter's home, it was very uncomfortable, because it did feel like a museum/mausoleum. She had 4 children and whenever they spilled food or whatever, there was always an angry lecture about being careful and it was hard to relax in that kind of atmosphere. I wish I could visit all Historic Homes, castles, and manors that you've shown us! 😊
Fantastic garden very well made video. Congratulations to Chris Atkins, for the excellent photography and editing. Bravo, anzi... bravissimo! Ciao a tutti da Milano.
Wonderful quality content, i love it when you showcase our houses and gardens hear in Yorkshire, we have so many. I love watching Mapperton live as well.
I really enjoy your videos! I absolutely loved seeing the beautiful homes and gardens when we lived in England. Thanks so much for bringing them into my home!
Your enthusiasm is infectious. I was struck with the last segment in the appearance of Jack Straker, he is the living twin of Jean de Dinteville, French ambassador in the Hans Holbein masterpiece. Thanks for your presentation I enjoyed it.
Burton Constable Hall; I remember playing it when I was a young actor in an open-air Shakespare company. We were doing Much Ado; it rained so we performed in West Wing which was pretty much a barn. Sandwhiches were just Cheese and Onion or Cheese and Ham, so I didn't sample the grub. I do remember that when we performed there the Lord had a funny turn and the ambulance was called. He blamed it on the actors but I blamed it on the sandwhiches.
I can just see Elizabeth Bennet walking around Constable Burton. Just gorgeous, even if the owner must have been justifiably enraged when he came back to see his Elizabethan manor gone.
Beautifully conceived overview of these homes. Loved the colours at Constable Burton - an elegant home with a working plan for the future. I had a large , but much smaller than these historic homes and felt like I was constantly replacing things mandatory features that no one ever saw. Roofing, AC, hot water heating that replaced coal at some point - so had an unused coal room. 4 floors of potential problems. I think that today home and property owners have options that just weren’t available 20/years ago. Loved the Lime Rd and the great open expanse being built. I’m curious if people will buy or rent these new homes that I assume will be like modular tiny homes. Would like to see the additions there. I never did a tour of the historic homes - other than castles, in England or France. I don’t live terribly far from Newport RI and toured many there but most only go back to the late 19th c. I think there is merit to continuity in family homes. We may be heading to a population dependent on major homes with the advent of AI if it cuts positions at all levels in the future. Thanks to Julie and those involved.
I like the music! Walking out reminds me of Royal Wedding with Fred Astire. In Palo Alto, CA we have a old restored theatre that plays the old movies. In 2023 I visited Mapperton and it was lovely, great walks, and the inside tour was educational as I learned more of history and architecture.
Short note to the editors/publishers of the vid for this TH-cam channel : Please, make the timestamps you are giving in the 'description box' hyperlinked/clickable, would you? I wish my family could live in a mansion or castle. I learned in Criminal Justice classes that crime rates in our cities go down when we live inside castles.
I’m curious to know what her husband’s family thinks about her constantly commenting on her historic family when she just married into the name. I’m appalled that she just said on another video the reason the man monarchy exists is because of “her family”
I just discovered this channel and it's amazing. 👏💚 Julie, considering that you are American and now have a royal status, it would have been fantastic if you would have reached to and befriended Meghan Markle and would have given her some sort of help to understand the ropes, the protocols and rules in the royal family, support in sharing with her your early insights and lessons you have learned from your own personal experience throughout your journey since your have settled in the UK. Any hints and tips would have been very useful to a woman who comes from another country, used with a different culture, used to work, make her own money and enjoy a more private life, than that of being a royal. With no training, support or understanding of this culture she started straight away her royal work and it all became overwhelming and unbearable when things didn't go smoothly. I imagine that she must have felt very lonely and depressive. It is sad that Harry and Meghan are no longer working royals and had to leave the country, the brothers are at war, the British media and the British tabloids crucified them as they have committed the capital crime, constantly and relentlessly bullying and attacking them. This family rift looks very ugly. I wish they come back with their children at Invictus Anniversary in May 2024 and hope that they get to reunite and reconcile with their extended royal family. 🙏❤
Meghan Markle needed no help from Julie. She made the right decision to remove herself and her children from the bile and toxicity of the british royals, press, and people. The daily onslaught was as barbaric as it was calculated. They would not have stopped until they had destroyed this vivacious, independent, articulate woman and turned her into another charmless plastic doll.
Omg her voice is so calming wow what a spectacular piece of land
the hostess seems like a really genuine lady and im happy for her good fortune

So beautiful! I could spend days wandering in amazement. Thank you for the tour.
Regency architecture is absolutely wonderful. ♥
I agree. The architecture and the massive garden monuments of the time are amazing!
19:40 You should have in your rose gardens, roses in bloom all the year round. There are varieties that bloom for every month of the year.
What happened to the list of rose vendors I gave you?
All the homes are very beautiful. Love the gardens and histoy. Thank You.

Absolutely love watching all these videos from the American viscountess, they show how beautiful the Uk really is
Beautiful historic houses , I do so love the music to ❤
It is beautiful. So fortunate to have that in your family.
Just beautiful 😍❤️
As I kid or even in my 20s I wouldn't care less about a stately home but now I find them very interesting.
Especially when watching these uploads.
Beautiful flowers.
Constable Burton was a wonderful tour. Darcy and Imogen are truly wonderful hosts. Such a very special tour, thank you Julie.
I really enjoyd this video. I love to look at the old photographs and drawings of the original Newby Hall.

Beautiful. Spectacular.
Beautiful homes, but the true stars are Luna, Stella, & Minna (sp?) 😊🐾🐾🐾 The Corvette is also droolworthy! Love your channel.

Those blue flowers were absolutely beautiful!
What stunning gardens!

Your house is awesome.
Thanks!🎉
Heaven, I’m in heaven

Are those water droplets seeping through the wallpaper in the library/after dinner room @39:15? I'm concerned. I so enjoy the home tours.

@GaR3THW472 Thanks I was thinking corvette also 60’s maybe? It’s a beautiful car and obviously American.
I wish my family could live in a mansion or castle. I learned in Criminal Justice classes that crime rates in our cities go down when we live inside castles.
Bitterness is unbecoming.
Why was the Juan Carlos vid removed???
Hey y'all 😮
Early!
Your garden is very nice. I don’t care for the rock garden part. My grandfather was from Yorkshire but on the coast.
I’m curious to know what her husband’s family thinks about her constantly commenting on her historic family when she just married into the name. I’m appalled that she just said on another video the reason the man monarchy exists is because of “her family”
Burton was a rerun.
I am related to your husband. baronet/viscount Kempe/Browne
Chris Wolf.
Hearing the aristocracy use African American slang is priceless. "Back in the day".
Back in the day is an African American idiom according to you? Please provide citations.
Why do you think that's Black American slang? I'm an American, I'm genuinely curious as to why you think this.
I just discovered this channel and it's amazing. 👏💚

She didnt marry into toyalty
She's not a royal. Also your suggestion betrays an unhealthy parasocial attachment.
@@ThePolypam she is a viscountess, related to the royals, american too..clearly, everyone for themselves
i can’t concentrate watching you on the subject. Sadly, i’m very much infatuated. Your passion does not help as well!
Congrats on making things weird with your comment 🙃
