- We travelled all the way to Kawaguchiko(interchange at Otsuki) by train from Shinjuku(Limited Express Kaiji + Fuji Express). (*We tried to purchase the direct Fuji Excursion Tickets online but our Malaysian credit cards couldn't get through the payment process😅)
After arriving at Kawaguchiko, we checked-in at Villa Resort Yumefuji, and headed straight to Arakurayama Sengen Park(via the local Thomas train + by foot). It is an absolute must to make your way up(398 steps) to the Chureito Pagoda observation deck for the iconic Mount Fuji+Chureito Pagoda+Fujiyoshida view! (Tips: Before planning your trip here, remember to check on the weather forecast and avoid coming on cloudy and rainy days. Best time to visit is early morning and when the sun sets)
The next day, after a wonderful breakfast at the garden patio, we had to travel in the rain 🙈 with the Red Omni sight-seeing bus, we only managed to visit Oishi Park and then made our way back to Shinjuku Station by train. The final hotel of our Tokyo trip was Tsuki Hotel in Tsukiji.
Hope you enjoy and find this video useful! Thanks for watching! ❤️

We really love and enjoyed ourselves in Kawaguchiko area. We wanted to cycle around the lake and visit a few more places but too bad it was raining too heavily 😭We will be back again next time perhaps allocating more time to explore the Fuji Five Lakes!
Excellent video.
Thank you
This was such a helpful video thank you so much !!!
Awhhh thank you Marissa! It’s our pleasure, glad that you find it useful 🥰
Very nicely done.
Thank you so much! Glad that you enjoyed it 😁
hi there, just wonder what date that you visit the park, I would want to see more blooming from cherry blossom! Thanks so much.
Hi Kevin! We went there on 22nd-23rd of March this year(early spring),the cherry trees were just about to bloom! Only 1-2 of them were blooming, we saw mostly only the flower buds on the trees 🤭 For a full bloom of cherry blossom 🌸 i guess the best time to visit will be in about mid April 😊
The cost of the lodging include the breakfast or your order the breakfast from some place else
Hi Jorge! 👋 Yup we booked our stay at Villa Resort Yumefuji, which we opted to include breakfast. The breakfast basket was prepared by the villa staffs and delivered to our doorstep in the morning🥰 You can choose the time for your breakfast to be sent over during check-in (7:30am or 8:30am)
@@NinnetlandChannel thank you for your reply
@@jorgenj1 It’s absolutely our pleasure ☺️
where is this place? 15:03 ? oishi park too?
Hi! Yes, it's still part of the souvenir shop in Oishi Park, near to the ice cream counter(ground floor)... You can buy the fruits/ice cream and head up to their cafe in 1st floor to enjoy 😄
Hello! When you changed to Fujikyu at Otsuki Station, did you just buy the ticket to Kawaguchiko from the kiosk? Is there an option to buy reserved seats and non-reserved seats? Thank you so much!
Hello! When we arrived at Otsuki, there was a long line at the ticketing kiosk. We asked the staff at the station if we can use IC card, she guided us and then we just scanned our Pasmo Card at the IC lane scanner 😆 We boarded the Fujisan Express, it has only 3 coaches: 1st coach has better view and is reserved, 2nd and 3rd coaches are non-reserved and with open seating on an first-come-first-serve basis. We boarded coach number 3(non-reserved) and the seats and view were enjoyable throughout the ride! *It depends on your arrival time at Otsuki and which train you will connect next to Kawaguchiko, the local train stops at every station of the Fujikyu Railway whereas the Fujisan Express stops at only 4 main stations before reaching Kawaguchiko (You may refer to the timetable in the link below to ease your plannning 😊)

@@NinnetlandChannel thank you so much for this information! Really appreciate your help 😀 looking forward to seeing Mt. Fuji!
@@mindovermatter2948 You’re welcome, it’s our pleasure 😁 Have a wonderful and enjoyable journey on your mount fuji viewing trip! 📸🗻
Just go to shinjuku and take the bus! Easier, cheaper and faster!
Hello! Are there any restaurants or bars at night? Night life?
Hello! 👋Do you mean in Kawaguchiko area? There are quite a number of restaurants/bar and dining options, but most of them close around 10pm(at most 11pm) 😆
Did you buy a fuji~Hakone pass or pay for train tickets in Fuji as you went
Hi Marissa! The only train ticket that we bought was the Limited Express Kaiji from Shinjuku to Otsuki, after that we didn’t buy any pass or tickets in Kawaguchiko since we only stayed for a night there😆 We relied on our IC card(Pasmo) for both the Fujikyu line train and the sightseeing buses, it was super convenient to travel around with it, we saved time skipping lines to buy tickets and minimized collection of small changes! Haha🤣
Hi, can I check how you purchase the limited kaiji express and Fujikyu ticket from Shinjuku to kawaguchi? Is it online or you have to go to the station to buy? Can you guide me. Thanks.
Hi Ronnie ! We checked the train schedule online beforehand and purchased our limited express Kaiji tickets at Shinjuku station. Then upon arrival at Otsuki station for interchange, we used our Pasmo card to board on the Fuji Express to get ourselves to Kawaguchiko (last station). You can also purchase train tickets at the kiosks in Otsuki station. The entire process is very enjoyable and quite straight forward, so don't worry...! Just remember to be early at Shinjuku station before your train departure time, you can have some spare time to buy some snacks/drinks or even bento prior to boarding too 😉
Thanks. Is it possible to book online beforehand too?
@@rondcck Initially our first option was to take on the Fuji Excursion Limited Express Train, which is a direct travel from Shinjuku station to Kawaguchiko station, but unfortunately when we were trying to make online booking(Shinkansen website) the payment couldn't get through with our Malaysian credit cards 😅You can give it a try! The direct journey without interchange is less hassle and saves you your precious time in Tokyo hehe... (it's more expensive though) The other option would be taking the direct bus from Shinjuku/Tokyo Station to Kawaguchiko, it's cheaper and convenient too (but try to avoid peak hours to avoid heavy traffic)...
*For Fuji Excursion Limited Express Train tickets (direct), you can try to book it here shinkansen-ticket.com/products/fujiexcursionticket-shinjuku-kawaguchiko?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA_5WvBhBAEiwAZtCU7wh3ZkJSJbtZgRsKNvplwWSJbC-qEJ9w51KIUL2rFrpLY9dSG69_WBoCzp8QAvD_BwE
Or via Klook www.klook.com/en-MY/blog/fuji-excursion-train-ticket-guide/
(Note: Tickets are sold starting 30 days prior to your departure date)
*If would like to purchase the Limited Kaiji tickets (Shinjuku-Otsuki)online, you can try it here shinkansen-ticket.com/products/limitedexpresstrainticket-shinjuku-otsuki
You may also choose the options of how you wanted the tickets to be delivered or picked up (hotel/home country/post offices)
Hope this helps ! 😁
Thank you very much. This is very helpful
@rondcck You’re most welcome… It’s absolutely our pleasure to share ! ☺️
Hai! I want to ask how much you pay for the sightseeing bus? Are they based on the distance?
Hi Liliana! Yup you’re right😀 For sightseeing buses in Kawaguchiko(red/blue/green), the fare depends on which station you board and alight(distance). We boarded the Red Omnibus at Kawaguchiko Station and alighted at the Natural Living Centre for Oishi Park(last station) for ¥490 per person with our Pasmo IC card. If you are planning to visit a few more places along the route, you may opt for the 2 days unlimited ride pass(¥1,500)! For a more detailed bus route and fares for each stop, this is a map for your reference 😉

Hello i wanna ask you, can we use JR pass for limited express from shinjuku to otsuki?
Hello Ayu! 🤗Yes JR Pass covers the limited express ride from Shinjuku to Otsuki, while from Otsuki to Kawaguchiko, you will need to purchase a separate ticket to ride the Fujikyu Railway 😁
@@NinnetlandChannel Wow its worth it than using bus to kawaguchiko station, because we dont need to pay again for the tickets. actually, one thing that i confused about, google maps only recommended me only using bus😆
@@Ayu-rx3dz The good thing about taking the bus from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko is there’s no need to transit at Otsuki(and saves time too), it can be inconvenient to transit sometimes especially when you are travelling with children and luggages😆 If you are a light traveller or only going there for a day trip, there’s no problem taking the train from Shinjuku-Otsuki-Kawaguchiko… We enjoyed our ride and the views along the way 🤭
@@NinnetlandChannel for otsuki to kawaguchiko , can we just use suica? so we dont need to purchase ticket
@@Ayu-rx3dz Yes, you may use IC card like Suica to take the Fujikyu line ride from Otsuki to Kawaguchiko 👍🏻 When you are at the station you can ask one of the staffs and he/she will guide you to the correct lane 😉
Grand nikko odaiba is good hotel but so damn far... u r wasting your time and money on transport ... that location make no sense unless disney is your sole purpose
Yes we stayed at Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama just for our 2 full days at Tokyo Disneyland and Disneysea 😁
