I am planning to get up much earlier and take the train 04:59 Tokyo station - 06:10 Takao station (JR Chuo Rapid) 06:15 Takao station - 06:51 Otsuki station (JR Chuo Main) 07:03 Otsuki station - 07:44 Shimoyoshida station (Fujikyuko Line)
Great Video! Did you use a DJI action 2 hanging around your neck to film most of the scenes? Seem like no one notice that you were filming which is great since you can blur the people later. Thank you Very much.
Hi, Thank you so much for sharing. I just clicked the link you shared but I got JPY 4,400 for roundtrip ticket from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko to Shinjuku. I'm curious how did you get JPY 2,200 for round trip ? That was such a steal tho
Oh interesting. Thanks for sharing that. To be honest, I am not sure why. My best guess is that the price was seasonal, and it is peak season now? Either that or they have increased the price.
Wonderful video and information! Can you tell me how many days in advance did you buy the Highway bus ticket? Also the IC card can be used for all regular metro and bus in Tokyo and Kawaguchiko? How much did this IC card cost and was it best option? I am not buying JR pass. Thanks
Thank you for your words of affirmation. I bought the highway bus tickets about 2 days in advance. However, I highly recommend purchasing your tickets even earlier, especially if it is peak season or on the weekend. Tickets can be sold out pretty fast. The IC card can be used for all metro and bus rides in Tokyo. There will be a deposit of ¥500 for the card. You can get it refunded when you return the card. If you need to top-up the card, there are plenty of machines in every train station in Japan. Hope this helps.
Hmm... for me it was the best option as it was convenient, I use the IC card for most of my commuting in Japan. I would usually top up a lump sum (¥2000 - ¥4000), so I don't have to consistently keep topping up the card. You can get a refund for any unused credits.
I guess I was really fortunate. It is hard to predict the crowd levels. As a general rule, avoid the holiday seasons in Japan - last week of dec, first week of Jan, end Apr to May & mid-August. Hope this helps.
Hi, how much were the sightseeing bus individual tickets? Why did you choose the bus & not the train? I was thinking of visiting with the Limited Excursion Fuji Express Train as it seems faster & traffic free, do you happen to know if it is possible to stop at Chureito Pagoda and then grab the next one to continue on to Kawaguchiko? I read somewhere that you can't hop on-off like you can with the JR pass.
Hi there. Both train or bus are good options to get to Lake kawaguchiko. I just happened to decide to go with the bus ride. The sightseeing buses are a loop service and they stop at the Chureito Pagoda and various areas in Kawaguchiko. You may refer to the map below for the price and bus route information: en.kawaguchiko.net/img/pdf/guide_map_en.pdf
When you are departing from Kawaguchiko Station on the loop bus, seat on the left side. The view of the lake will be on your left. When you are heading back towards Kawaguchiko Station, seat on the right side. The view of the lake will be on your right.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to select either the left or right seat for the bus trips between Shinjuku and Kawaguchiko. The system will auto select and allocate the seats to you.
My advise to day trippers to Kawaguchiko is to give it a miss, unless you yearn to have a good photo with Mr Fujiyama.Afterall we’re there to relax and not to rush and perhaps cos inconvenience to others.
is there a specific time to get back to tokyo if you purchased round trip bus ticket? can u purchased a ticket back to tokyo at kawaguchi station at your preferred time to leave?
Depends on which area you want to see. If you want to cover all the well known sight seeing spots at Kawaguchiko, 1 day probably is not enough. Take note it takes 2+hrs to get there by bus. And the last bus leave at 5+pm.
You get to select either window or aisle seat, and whether you prefer to sit in the front or back of the bus. Once you have done your selection, they will assign you a seat based on your preference. Unfortunately, you don't get to select a specific seat. Hope this helps.
Yeah. Most of the buses have a restroom. However, you will not know if the bus you are taking will have one. If the bus does not have a restroom, you can request for a rest stop.
Oh yikes. What ads are you referring to? If it is TH-cam ads, sadly I have no control over that. Only content creators with more than 1000 subscribers can control the ads and where to put them. Thanks for the feedback. Will make changes when I have the access rights to do it.
Hi, great video . I have a query: for the sightseeing bus , does it drop off and then wait for you to come back within a timeframe or how does this work ? It will be helpful to me if you can provide this information. Thanks
Thank you for such a helpful video. I had so many questions answered with your help!
It was a pleasure! (:
I am planning to get up much earlier and take the train

Sounds like a good plan! Starting early gives you more time to explore and avoid the crowd.
wow very nice experience friend
How long was the entire duration of the red line bus route?
Hi, thank you for the video. I hate heights and wondering if there is another way than the ropetrain?
Great Video! Did you use a DJI action 2 hanging around your neck to film most of the scenes? Seem like no one notice that you were filming which is great since you can blur the people later. Thank you Very much.
Hi there. I used the Gopro Hero 10, the camera is small enough so not many people noticed it.
Hi, after going down from
the ropeway do we need to take a bus again going to Oishi Park? And what is the name of the store near the park?
Yeah. You will need to take the bus again. The name of the shop is Oishi Park Cafe.
Is this the Shinjuku - Fujigoko・Mt. Fuji 5th Station Line route that you did?
I learned so much! How much does the bus cost each time in Kawaguchiko if you use the ic card?

Hi! The Ropeway looks really empty. Which day did you go? Any tips on avoiding the crowded days?

Yeah they did. (:
Can I ask you some questions , I wanna know what time that you take the roupway to mt.Fuji panoramic Rope way
I believe I took the ropeway between 10am to 11am.

Hello, what time you visit the mt fuji panoramic ropeway? Seems not too crowded when u visit
Hi there. I went around 11am. Though the crowd levels can be unpredictable.
Thanks for your respond. For the seat, what side you choose on the bus for best viewing? Right or left? Really enjoy the video ❤️

Hey..Nice video, Is it possible to purchase the red line bus ticket online?
13:25 what a great view! nice vid dude
Glad you enjoyed it. (:
Good video. I’m traveling to Japan around February. Is it recommended to stay in Kawaguchiko for 1 or 2 nights or is daytime good enough?

It’s the background talking on the gondola. I thought they were advertisements
Oh that's what you meant. I am not sure if they are ads as I don't speak Japanese. I would believe that they are describing the place.
