    His dyslexia thing is utterly insulting. I worked in Further Education for ten years and the support for learners is absolutely outstanding, and has been for many years. He goes on about it like there's nothing there, and nobody speaks about it. It's one of the most recognised, supported and respected conditions there is. Moreover, his "it wasn't strictly illegal" thing is absolutely infuriating. The point, Matt, is that YOU were the man in charge of setting the policy of government, YOU were the one chastising anyone who broke the rules, and YOU ultimately were the one who decided the rules didn't apply to you. Semantics over legality are a middle finger to everyone who suffered in Covid. Please stop giving this man a platform. He needs to just disappear into obscurity now.

    • @bluebluesky3170
      @bluebluesky3170 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Whilst I agree with you about Hancock, as someone who lost my Dad to Covid, your experience of dyslexia doesn't match mine or many others. It depends on the school, town, and county. I wasn't diagnosed until I went to uni - I was called 'lazy', insulted repeatedly by teachers, and genuinely believed I was stupid. Turned out I have a very high IQ but dyslexia. Sadly, I have friends with young children who are still struggling to get their child's condition recognised, still struggling to get support.

    • @fraserwebster8761
      @fraserwebster8761 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fair enough, your experience sounds terrible, and the fact it's still happening in some places is shocking. I'm afraid I still haven't budged from thinking he's merely using it as a vehicle to stay relevant, as opposed to being that bothered about it, but perhaps that's slightly unfair of me. My condolences about your dad. @@bluebluesky3170

    • @Tom-iv3nd
      @Tom-iv3nd 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Not to defend Matt because he’s in the wrong here but I suppose it’s a case that there is good support but you have to fight for it, which many parents can’t do. I have autism and I got helped and yes it is good help but my parents had to fight for it. Not all parents are able to fight for help for their children which leaves quite a lot of kids with learning difficulties not helped. So it’s not like there’s no progress still to make at all. Also there’s a difference between dyslexia awareness and help. What he was talking about is educating the general public on the condition where as helping is helping individuals.

    When our dear Queen sat all alone at her husbands funeral with not having anyone to comfort her, was just the saddest thing, what makes you Matt Hancock any more special, what gives you that right to break the covid rules. We all had a price to pay through lockdown, I wasn't able to see any of my loved ones, I live alone and I had to do my lockdown in solitary confinement, it was awful for me and everyone else that stuck to the rules, I'm surprised dear Kate kept her calm with you, what she has gone through is so sad but she has stayed positively strong through her ordeal and yet she still has more to endure, my heart and prayers goes out to her and her two children x

      During Covid, the queen demonstrated amply why she represented the country better than the government that was elected (I did not vote for them). I watched 5 min of Price Phillip's funeral, and her pain and loneliness were something we could all empathise with, and you could also feel that she had empathised with the people during the pandemic. The government never offers anything we could empathise with, and we know they do not empathise with us.

    I have mixed feelings about this interview. As journalists, you HAVE to try to be unbiased. Kate did this marvellously. Susanna’s approach was not as tactile. You have to try as hard as you can to keep emotions out because facts speak for themselves. Deepest condolences to Kate for her loss 💔 and for everyone affected by what happened.

    • @annepoitrineau5650
      @annepoitrineau5650 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have thought about this: one person showing emotions is ok. The others kept their cool. In that sort of circumstance, it is ok if one person can represent us, and out emotions while we watch this. Besides: Hancock is not being mistreated. He is just being made accountable.

Aside from breaking covid rules and being an MP and appearing on that awful program why has nobody even mentioned the fact that he was kissing someone who was working for him. The power dynamic of that relationship in the workplace is entrenched in the "METOO" movement.
