WOWOWOWOW!!! Great views taking off. Good view of the Wallowas. Geologically, they're allochthonous, which means they were moved from somewhere else, in this case the Vancouver Island area. This explains why the mountains look similar to the Island Range on Vancouver Island. Good views of the Snake and Columbia River. Last weekend, my GF and I went to Cape Disappointment, where the Columbia empties out into the Pacific. When you stand on the jetty, the open ocean is to your right and the Columbia's mouth is at your left. It all begins at Columbia Lake in Canal Flats up in BC and the water is fed by the Kootenay River which come from the mountains of Kootenay National Park. When you go from Columbia Lake up to Invermere, you'll cross the Columbia a few times, but there, it's a creek rather than a river, which is mind-boggling to see when you see how HUGE the Columbia is when it runs by Portland and Astoria. Anyhow, Super-Fantabulous view of Rainier!!! Good view of Maury Island. Good view of Downtown Seattle and the Columbia Tower. That's still our tallest building and for a few years, it was the tallest building west of the Mississippi. This was when Seattle reclaimed this honor when the Smith Tower was the tallest building west of the Mississippi for decades. Good view of Madison Park and the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge. The water is 210 feet deep out in the middle of the span. There's Laurelhurst, long known for where the (tenured) college professors live. One of my friends was a professor of History at the UW and he lived there. Laurelhurst was built in 1907 and 4-5 years later, Portland built IT'S Laurelhurst neighborhood (copycats!!), but unlike Seattle's, it's not a stronghold for college professors. And personally, I think Seattle's is prettier, has prettier houses, much better views. Good view of Windermere. One of my friends has lived there for a long time and she still lives there today. Good view of Magnuson Park. Hey, there's my swimming beach! On June 6th, we're going to have the lowest tide of the year at 11:15 AM. BE THERE!!
From 2:27:30 to 2:32:00 a large air force plane comes toward us at the same altitude, keeping fixed position (due south) and shining a very bright light, then turns away and finally disappears.
Good catch on both of these. I often don't even know things like this are in the video because I'm not watching the screen or window the whole time I'm filming.
Great drive! Does your PikePass transponder charges monthly/annual fee? I know some E-ZPass states charges monthly fee. So that's why I got E-ZPass Massachusetts because no one-time fee for transponder and no monthly/annual fees.
No, it doesn't. I mean you have to pay $40 upfront to get it, but that just goes on your account as a credit for tolls. When it gets low they charge you another $40. So there is a "setup" fee but it's not really a fee because it just goes towards your future tolls.
Which I very much appreciated. We took an hour delay leaving MCI due to some thunderstorms in the area that closed the ramp. So my connection was extremely tight. I barely made it to my connection and I wouldn't have if the pilots weren't expeditious departing once the ramp re-opened.
What an amazing view! These are one of the most amazing flights because you get to cross over the cascades and it's spectacular 😍😍😍I was visiting Seattle around this same timeframe as I can tell by the mountains, not being too much covered in snow that this was sometime around August or early September. I can't wait to go soon in May! 😍
Love those full flights out and into Seattle seatac Airport... 😊😊

🛫🛬✈️✈️🧳💺🇺🇸🇺🇸🤝🤗🤩😁😀 nice trip report. Very nice airplane airliner 737.
3:32:30 What a smooth touchdown!
Thank you Bryce once again for uploading the video 😊😅🎉😂😂❤❤and what is your next flight video?
So calming to listen/watch everytime.
Thanks for uploading☺️
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks for watching my friend!
Nice view on takeoff

I love Seattle. I am flying YYC-SEA in July with WestJet and then flying back to England on a British Airways 77W.
So cool around 3:27:29 when the sun glimmered across the water.
awesome buzz!
What a view of Mount St. Helen!
And Mt. Rainier and Mt. Adams, all visible. Thanks for watching my friend!
From 1:53:30 to 1:54:10 another plane passes at the same altitude traveling west to east over southern Idaho.
Good catch on both of these. I often don't even know things like this are in the video because I'm not watching the screen or window the whole time I'm filming.

Man one day I wish I can fly as much as you do. Even if it’s just half or a day quarter as much haha that’ll be enough 😅.
Well, I never thought I'd be flying as much as I am, so you never know what will happen 😅.
Wouaah the seats. We must have stomach ache
The pilot was really cruisin when he did the turn and burn at take off!

Doesn't look like it's even moving when above the clouds.
is that mt rainier?
It is. Mt. Saint Helens and Mt. Adams are also visible in the background as well.
3:18:00 Is that the Mt. Dernali?
No, Denali is in Alaska, northwest of Anchorage. The mountain you see here is Mt. Rainier in Washington state. Thanks for watching my friend!
@@sla31 Oh, thanks, I had a brain-fart and thought this was Alaska not Washington...
@@AndrewLewer90 Well, it is an easy assumption when the airlines name is Alaska Airlines haha.
@@sla31 🤣🤣🤣
I travel cheap with you. I don't care where to fly. :-) Next time ask for one set of food for me 🙂
Now, if I'm asking for the extra food and it's for you, the calories don't count when I eat it, right? 😂
@@sla31 Yes, it is definitely profitable. You can eat for three and not gain calories 🙂
😊
Thanks for watching my friend!
Slm😊😊😊
I'm not sure what SLM has to do with this, but I thank you for watching haha.

You'd be correct. This was filmed in early September of last year. Thanks for watching!
@@sla31 you’re welcome! I knew it ha ha ☺️☺️
