Thanks I really enjoy your videos, very informative. I have however just one suggestion, what about adding a map route of the flight on your intro or at some other point of the video, I think it visually enriches the videos, just a suggestion.
Looks like a traditional short haul carriers premium offering; flew Virgin Australia business class on a 737 from Perth to Brisbane (about 4.5 hours) - daytime flight so didn't even investigate the recline -the view out of the window was epic all the way.
Brilliant vlog, always on point and fair, just make sure if I ever sit next to you on a flight you won't get any sleep as I have 1 million questions to ask you lol
Slight clarification: It was a hundred years before Alaska became a state after the US bought it. As there are next to no roads/highway connecting major cities/towns in the state, aviation was critical for all necessary activities. And like Gander and Goose Bay in the east, a necessary refuelling stop for commercial aircraft after WW2 crossing the respective ocean.
Great video, Patrick! However, I have to point out a few small issues with this video, keep in mind. These are not criticisms merely acknowledgments. First off, Alaska Airlines although not having many 737 MAX 8’s currently has plans for more than 20 on order still with more 737 MAX 9’s also on order. Secondly, Alaska is the United States least populated state simply due to its geography. Given the fact that over 65% of the land is uninhabitable due to inhospitable conditions, mostly being severe winters with lack of food and water, in truth America’s least densely populated state that could actually support more population growth is Wyoming. Third and final point, Anchorage Airport has still continued to grow in airline service, mostly from Alaska Air, but following the Alaska-Hawaiian merger, which has just been approved by the USDOJ Anchorage Airport hopes to pick up a lot moreairlines service especially since Hawaiian Airlines international network is quite extensive. Anchorage hopes there could be flights someday as far as Sydney, Tokyo and Seoul for example, bypassing having to stop in Hawaii if the new Hawaiian-Alaska group acquire some more wide bodies say some more B787s or maybe the B777X perhaps. Overall things for Alaska the state as well as the airline are really looking up and I’m excited to see what the future holds! Cheers 🥂 my friend, Caleb’s Aviation 😅
Will the first class suites on an airbus a380 on Singapore airlines from Singapore to Frankfurt be on your bucket list? I did see how lovely the terminal is along with the check in, the lounge and the seat converted into a big bed and gourmet food.
22:48 oh yeah, Frontier flies to JFK now Nice video, I hope Miami gets a connection to Alaska as it would be cool to fly from the southern easternmost state to the northernmost western state but hopefully with a better product Any chance we will see ITA Airways soon or even revisiting Air India?
Nice review. One comment ,though. Nearly all of he state of Alaska IS on the North American mainland. The term they use for other mainland states is "the lower 48."
Sorry Alaska Airlines, but this 737 cabin is just not appropriate for a 5400 km route like Anchorage to New York. You must provide lieflat seats on such long routes. I mean Hawaiian Airlines even offers lieflat seats on 4000 km journeys from Los Angeles to Honolulu.
If they need to compete on San Francisco and LAX to EWR/JFK they need to add flat seats also this one ANC-EWR/JFK think of their Taiwanese future One World partner Starlux having 2-2 layout on narrowbody A321neo. Option 2 take the B767-332/ER DL Thompson Vantage put them on premium transcontinental service routes helping out American Airlines. And then feed the Australian Japanese Hong Konger partners out west followed by transatlantic Partners British and Spaniards.
But yes, Alaska very lacking in first. I assume they know this, and could have been a reason why they are the only US carrier to offer lounge access with a domestic first class ticket.
Some consolation: I also only got one meal service in a 6,5 hour international flight with Singapore Airlines, so unfortunately I guess it’s not too uncommon.
13:48 Great use of your B-roll and beautiful editing!
Talk about scenery ... mountains are just gorgeous! Excellent vid!
I flew recently with Alaska from Toronto to San Francisco via Seattle.. it was an experience. I think will continue with United or Delta in the future
So excited to see this--Anchorage is my hometown!

Cool flight vlog! You have a seaplane rating --> FUN!

It's longer on the return flight from JFK-ANC.
Thank you,Patrick.great vlog as always .
I ❤️ love ❤️ Alaska Airlines regardless of class.

It's better than Euro-Business, but I don't think there's a 7h flight anywhere in Euro-Business
Unfortunately, there is, like Berlin or Cologne to Dubai in an A320 by Condor or Eurowings. They just started these horror routes this year.
There are a few my mind goes to Air Baltic from Riga Latvia 🇱🇻 to Dubai 🇦🇪 it’s almost 7 hours with EuroBiz on their all Airbus A220 fleet.

I think at the start there is no way anybody can call Alaska anything close to a budget carrier😆

Had to unsubscribe. The background is annoying, distracting and unnecessary

You're "brave" to fly on a MAX. NOBODY I know will any longer do so. And USA "Domestic FIRST" . . . ISN'T. It's not even vaguely "Business."
