      In today's climate of "everything must be modified to be unique" its refreshing to see something just the way it wants to be. It almost hurt me when he started peeling the bark off. I can't explain my pain, I feel what I feel.

      Its great to trim a bonsai cause for a bonsai it's as if you're giving it a hair cut for it to grow stronger. And the bark he peeled off was dead what he did was help rid of the dead bark. Which helps the tree stay healthy.

      @@dontknow3163 yes but the trim was necessary to get the tree to actually grow new branches and leaves. It's like making an elder person exercise.

      I think that the balance between a natural look and a manicured look is very interesting. An old neglected bonsai often looks fine enough but emphasizing the elements that bonsai does can reveal a marvel of both human and natural creation that I find very unique.

    I low key love that the artist caring for this bonsai doesn't look like what you imagine a "bonsai pro" to look like. I really love that it breaks down the preconceptions that you can have about a hobby and who should enjoy it. 10/10.

    I feel like I've lost myself over the years. Searching for something to fill a void in my soul. I sit at my computer wasting my life away playing video games day in and out while my children are growing right before my eyes. To see the love and attention this man gives to this tree and his child is eye opening. I need to realign my focus, and somehow this video was all I needed to remember that.

      @@naturefrc3986 First of all trees don't have nerve endings nor the intelligence to *feel* they can only *sense* so having its branches cut of will feel no worse than you having your nails cut but more importantly after this quick procedure that tree will go onto be one of the most pampered, healthy and well loked after tree on earth, bonsai trees are remarkably healthy and efficent

    Not only did the tree turn out beautiful but the video itself was a work of art. I have never seen a bonsai transformation video so well documented and thought out. Thank you very much for this!
