    Good information thanks. For rear delt flys, on my Titan PLATE-LOADED FLY MACHINE, I didn't want to drill a hole and I was too big to fit comfortably against the pad, so I just sit sideways and do one side at a time, or put the pin on the outside of the cam to get that fuller range of motion.

      Interesting the preacher curl combo is your favorite. I’ve never used it, but some reviews say you can’t get a full ROM at the top of the bicep curl because the frame gets in the way. Do you have that problem?

    Good content mate, hope your channel grows
    Can you adjust those dumbbell stands around your bench when doing presses?
    Ironmaster have a spotting saddles for their super bench for example, allows to do all types of presses without compromising your back/shoulders getting into a pressing position, your bodyweight weighing down the bench holds the saddles in position. Only reason I'm considering their bench as a future purchase, so yeah, not sure if it'll be worth it or not as Powertec and ATX have far better attachments for their benches

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I’ve never tried to do that, but the stand adjusts horizontally and vertically, so it may work.
      I am not the biggest fan of the Powertec Bench for pressing movements, but it is awesome for all of the attachments that can be used. I really liked the preacher curl, leg ext / leg curl, and dip attachments when I had them. The fly was pretty good, but lacked resistance throughout the full ROM. The leg press attachment wasn’t good for me (luckily a friend gave it to me because he didn’t like it either). Good luck with your bench choice.
      Thanks again!

      @@HomeGymHacksandReviews definitely a good idea for what you use them for already. Nothing worse than regularly picking up a heavy dumbbell off the floor or off the bottom shelf of a rack
      45-55 pounders I'm ok with as that's the same weight as what you'd pick up with the plates we use. But 70 pounds plus I get a bit wary of as I have had back issues over the years (nothing from gym though)
      One of the reasons why I went Ironmasters for heavy, the stand the dumbbell sits on is at a nice height, so not a lot of effort required to pick them up as it's close to our centre of gravity (high quad/hip area). Rubber hex dumbbells for lighter accessory exercises.

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m with you! Getting heavy dumbbells off the floor into position is an injury waiting to happen. One of my worst tweaks of all time was getting the 100s off the floor and into position for a flat press. I was on vacation and training at a gym on a bench I’d never used and basically ruined the rest of my vacation as I nursed my body back to health.

      I remember the first few weeks last year once I got my Ironmasters (120lb kit) and started doing 80-100lb flat presses, my glutes for some reason were bothering me in the days afterwards.

      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re welcome! Big fan of the belt squat. The stand-alone machines are pretty expensive. Titan has the least expensive at $600. Bells of Steel is the next least expensive option. After that, you are looking at 1k plus for Squat Max, Rogue, etc. If space is an issue, the loading pin, boxes, and belt squat belt might be your best option.

      My dilemma is I have an opportunity to buy a selector weight abductor only machine and adductor only machine but it be about $1200 and if we take up a lot more room than just one machine and I have about 1200 pounds worth of weight plates. So the selector doesn’t interest me.

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews

    TITAN FITNESS Shipping / Packing absolutely SUCKS ASS. You will receive your item scratched beyond belief, missing parts, torn and ripped pads, etc. Simply because the packing was done by a toddler who used only his butthole to pack and pad the item before putting it in a cheap-ass thin-walled box with absolutely nothing to keep said box together. When you call them, they act 100% surprised. You get what you pay for . . . BARELY, just barely.

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It sounds like you’ve had some really bad experiences with Titan. I have been more fortunate. In my stand-alone reviews for Titan, I show how everything arrives and is packed and 90% of the time, I am happy. However, I have had a couple bad experiences. Once, I was sent a trap bar without any packing…just a shipping label on the bar. Another time, it took me 3 tries to get the correct handles for a machine. I will say, Titan has always made the situation right, even though it may have taken a couple of times and tries.

    Do you notice that there is a difference in load on your left and right legs with the seated hamstring curl/leg extension machine?

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ever so slightly. It doesn’t help that my ankle pad is slightly angled (many people have this issue). With all that being said, I still really like the machine.

    how did u remove the stop pin for the leg extension/curl machine?

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s a bolt that you put on during the build. You don’t even need to put it on in the first place. Some people might prefer to have it on because it will change the start position of the ankle pad a little bit, but it works perfectly for me to leave it off.
