- Famed Airgunner, Ernest Rowe, takes you though the step in disassembling your FX Panthera. This is very similar to the FX Dynamic as they share the same FX Dynamic Block.

A lot of o rings, with great potential to age harden in tropical climates. However you do a stellar job explaining the disassembly. Thanks
Thanks for making this video.
You no doubt know your way around these.
one suggestion, if this bottle fitting can come lose like that, then have an independent Shrader valve pin, to open the bottle, but not on connection of the bottle, like on Air conditioning repair units, the fitting goes on, and the Shrader is operated by a tap handle, sealed from the pressure side, here on this airgun it could work, and if the pin sealed when fully backed out, this could act as a plenum air release too, saving touching the regulator setting ( as it can be 1/4 turned once the bottle is removed to safely remove any residual pressure in the system).
I’d love to see more on the dynamic. I’m really wanting one but it’s hard to spend that much living on disability. Hopefully more videos come out in the next few months so I can save up for it😂😂
great video, very asmr seeing these disassembled, but a clarification on what you said at 6:02, you are meaning the Schrader valve inside the bottle remains open, and this "blow out" is when the full bottle pressure is let out of the now loose adaptor.
great video! keep them coming!
Best thing to mention how to bleed the gun with the regulator, turn anti clockwise.
First take of the plenum end& plenum before removing the barrel to prevent damaging the orings inside.
The biggest problem with this gun is the valverod that bends and the valveseat that bends, together with the outside oring that seals the valverod and easaly gets torn.
There are upgrade parts for this problem.
Always check these things when dissassembled.
There is an easy way to remove the valve seat. Take a 3&4mm allan key. Apply a shrink tube on each end. Push them inside the valve seat and spread them slightly and pull the valve seat out.
That oring inside the block that seals the valveseat, seems to leak more compared to the others.
11:03 is there really no oring on the pellet chamber
Awesome video Ernest, I’ll see you at pyramid cup shortly, I’m so happy FX does this with their guns, unfortunately, this video wasn’t out when I was looking for it because I bought the Pantera pretty shortly after it was first announced , but fx always has diagrams for every gun, which is more than enough. I had to change the valve rod seal, and then later the valve rod itself when they sent the stronger valve rod, and learned all the stuff on my own, but with a schematic, the western rattler on the other hand even the distributors can’t get their hands on a diagram or schematic, frankly kind of ridiculous that you spend thousands on a gun and you can’t even see how it works or what’s in it. You have to figure it out all on your own. The videos are awesome but even just the schematics are great, but if I have the choice, I watch the videos because you explain as you are going, and they are easy to understand, appreciate you brother you do a great job
great job as always brother. cant wait to see you next week at pyramid
See u there buddy
Can you degass the plenum by loosing the screw at 22:58 ?
Simpel and perfek 😊🤔🤔
With the Maverick I’ve seen dry firing to release air in the plenum after bottle removed. Can you dry fire the dynamic/ panthera to help release plenum air? Manuel says do not fire if bottle pressure is lower than reg. Is that correct?
Hi Ernest.
Can you tell me if the prob can be removed easily and replaced
Thanks
damn.. watched this whole video to see how to remove the probe, you didnt disassemble it? i have a new probe to install and theres no instructions to do it?
Then I wanted to use it as a 30 caliber I bought at 25, I took a 30 caliber probe from a pellet probe from one of my FX impacts, and I machined it into a slug probe, and I machine the back end into the fitting that goes on the set screw on my LATHE, then used my CNC machine to square off the round part, the way that the Panthera probe is. So it’s very doable. You could even make them yourself.
Hi, there’s another FXmaster class just to change caliber
i dont see a caliber change video listed? @@ernestrowe5061
Thanks Ernest, this of great help to me and many others😊
Where is the change cal video I to can not work out how to change the probe
Leak leak leak okey
I have noticed in the UK sub 12 ft aren't tested that well it's not acceptable FX please do a better job as you Change a top price HW German company would not allow poor quality out the door
After watching this video I kinda lost interest in the platform...too many O rings and too much to go wrong. I admire the engineering and what the gun is capable of..but too much work for me!
