    Thanks! Finally the myth is debunked - we can with a lot of caution change calibers and barrell lengths whitout leaving the gun at a certified fx dealer. This is a sales pitch for fx and good news for the end user. As always a very informative and well done hands on video. Cheers from fx country 😊👍👌🔫🇸🇪

      @@Davidtheinfidel early official fx supoirted videos stated this clearly, comp gun- barrel change only done by cerified fx dealer. the specific video im regering to with Jon fx usa and Hein Frohmann , i can not find anymore on the fx airgun youtube channel.this was the first official fx policy for the panthera when it was released in december 22, they have now obviously given the instructions to partners that this CAN be done but with caution so now they even have a fx masterclass video released how to do it.watched every video on the panthera so fars o i know this. still eaiting for my 30 cal panthera- im in sweden which is not their priority 1 market.

      I did not hear anything about changing the caliber. Only changing the barrel length. Did I misunderstand the video? Can the caliber actually be changed? It seems that a caliber change would also require a different probe size. Love to hear what others say.

    • @Airbuks
      @Airbuks  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnsullivan9320 yes you are correct! Caliber change is possible by replacing the probe . I just keep mine in 22cal so there was no need to do it

    Great video, Mathias! I just had to rip mine all apart to replace the V1 valve with the V2 style valve. Since I was only removing my barrel/plenum to access the valve, I simple loosened the screws on each side of the block that hold the barrel and I unscrewed the plenum and barrel as one piece. Thanks for showing what was under the front shroud, I didn't open that up but it's good to know everything about this rifle.

    Thank you very much for your videos, they are the best I have seen for your detailed explanations. I have some questions that I'm sure you can answer with your knowledge:
    -Regarding your video, is there a difference in shooting power between an original Panthera Hunter and the Panthera conversion you show in the video from 700mm to 300mm? Because I have the doubt of buying a Panthera Dynamic 600mm and move the bottle forward with the adapter and a folding stock; or buy a Panthera Hunter and buy a 600mm barrel.
    -Does the 300mm Panthera Hunter come with the same probe and slug hammer as the 600mm Panthera Dynamic, or do I have to change the probe and hammer of the Hunter to get the same power?
    Thank you very much
    Greetings from Spain

    • @Airbuks
      @Airbuks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi , thx for the support! In theory there is no difference in internals buying a hunter or a 600-700 mm but the 300mm barrel have a normal liner inside that shoots best pellets or very light slugs . The longer 600-700 barrels come with a heavy liner to shoot slugs . The probe is exactly the same no difference between the 300 and the rest .
      It’s up to you to decide what you are going to use it for . You can swap the barrels as you have seen in the video but I wouldn’t advise it to do it every other weekend 😉

    • @JC-OPT
      @JC-OPT ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Airbuks Thank you very much for your response and the attention you give to those of us who follow you. It is a pleasure.
      What I am looking for is an FX PCP to shoot heavy slugs at long distance but using a manageable gun that weighs little. Hence the above question and doubt:
      1) Buy a FX Panthera Dynamic 600mm and change the stock for a folding one (folding AR Stock), buy an adapter to put the bottle in front as you show in a video.
      2) Buy a FX Hunter and change the barrel for a 600mm.
      What would you do to assemble that gun small and handy but with power for big slugs at 100m-150m?
      And the last question: to hunt rabbits, doves.... (although in my country I could not because it is not allowed) would you use 5.5 (0.22) or 6.35 (0.25) caliber with the above assembled gun?
      Thank you very much again. I will use your answer for the master purchase.

    • @Airbuks
      @Airbuks  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JC-OPT Hi , so a compact slug shooter for long range.
      The first thing is that the longer the barrel the easier it is to get slugs shooting wel at long ranges . This for 2 reasons.
      1. The longer the barrel the lower you can keep the regulator pressure and the more relaxed your gun will shoot . Helping in accuracy.
      2. The lower the regulator pressure the more shots you can get .
      Now 25cal is a good hunting caliber 👍if you want to shoot .25 heavy slugs (40gr @960) you can’t go with a 300 as it’s a pellet liner and in my opinion will only be oke up to 75m anyway. Specially with hunting when you need ethical kills .
      You might get away with a 500mm as in range but this one also comes standard with a pellets / light slug liner .
      So out of the box only the 600-700 have a heavy slug liner, but even with a 600mm you have a pretty long setup 🤔
      So for me you have 3 options :
      1. Buy a 500mm version with a extra heavy liner to shoot slugs heavier the 34gr ( in my opinion good to 100m )
      2. Just buy the 600mm which is ready to shoot heavy slugs right out of the box .
      3. Consider buying a bull pup style like the impact that even with the longer barrel is shorter Dan the Dynamic with the same barrel due to its bull pup design .
      PS : my favorite combo will be a Panthera 500mm with heavy liner and mount a extra 300cc bottle at the front . No Ar15 folding stock but the fixed end from a Panthera with the bottle . This way you have 600cc of air to shoot slugs in a medium size package.
      It’s a very difficult choice I know 🥴

    So do I understand that you can change barrel lengths of the same caliber on the panthera only? Or are you able to change barrels as well as calibers also? Just asking as in looking at ordering one it says that only an authorized dealer should do that. Great video. I am a subscriber and have gotten a lot out of your videos.

      @kirbysands3197 That is initially correct as the way to do it is a little more complicated then on a impact for instance as the plenum is around the barrel . So only do it when you feel comfortable doing this procedure

      You should be able to ask your local FX dealer to order it , don’t have a part number.
      Changing the barrel frequently isn’t a issue as long as you do it carefully. With the impact the barrel doesn’t have any sealing parts unlike the Panthera .
      So if you take care when replacing the barrel and keep the orings in good condition you will be fine 👍

    Might be a tough question to answer but I have a 600 mm 22 caliber FX panthera. In terms of slugs the recommended grain is 30 grain to 33 grain with a 600 mm barrel. You can shoot 40 grain slugs with a 700 mm Barrel but unfortunately it's too long for me.
    If I switched to 25 caliber liner with my 600 Barrel, would the 600 mm 25 caliber 40 grain slug have more energy/FPE than a 700 mm barrel 22 caliber 40 grains slug at all distances?

    • @Airbuks
      @Airbuks  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I would opt for a 600mm 22cal with 33-34 gr slugs @1005fps . I usually shoot all my competitions with a 700mm at those settings but it will work out of a 600mm aswel . The 25cal in slugs is notoriously difficult to tune and get right . 22 is way easier.
      The 40gr in 22 is possible but it puts to much stress on the system and doesn’t feel smooth to shoot . Remaining energy is something you need to calculate as it is velocity dependent

    • @surreallife777
      @surreallife777 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      . Very complicated stuff. Once you think you understand barrel lengths and slug grains you realize you don't understand it all. Does the 25 and 30 caliber in all Barrel sizes make it more difficult to tune or just 600 mm? Why is that? But if you're a hunter and you want to shoot a larger game you would need to shoot a 25 caliber to a 30 caliber slug correct?

    • @surreallife777
      @surreallife777 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @Airbuks okay I thought about it I think I'll experiment with the 33 grain and 34 grain as opposed to buying a new 25 Cal liner.
