Never owned or shot an FX rifle, so can only comment on what your video showed and like you said, the block looks to be very nicely machined. Didn't notice any manufacturing marks on any of the components you removed, so you have to give it to FX for quality control on this aspect. Thanks for showing the methodical breakdown and description.
Brilliant stuff guys, I love the disassembly series 😎😎 I shot your panthera Saturday and managed a single pellet hole at 50 yards with 6 shots. Best panthera in the UK.
nice tear down mate . to be fair not as complicated as i thought it were going to be . as long as your carful not beyond a pretty component diy-er . think your bang on about the barrels . not saying every fx is the same but most i have seen when you stiffen up the liner they seem to shoot better . plus that oring malarkey seems like a faf to me
thanks mate, yes well within a diy repair👍 Fx guns all look more complicated than they are to me they have lots of bits but they go together easily 👍 thanks for watching
I'm impressed by the block too, though obviously on cnc the design is complex; overly in my view. I'd bet a Chinese person has already produced a CNC test version of much simpler design, fewer screws and parts to go wrong, also cheaper to build. The barrel support appears to be an example of a part that only exists because of a design fault with the block. Thanks again.
Wow the plenum on the sub 12 in damn near non existent that’s so sad and you don’t even get the quick tune system 😢 why don’t you get the FAC version or. Is it to much a hassle?
I took the barrel off mine and forgot to take tank off before, all the air pressure shot out and an O ring popped out from somewhere. Any idea where from and if anything would be damaged from this?
Hey! I dry fired my rifle to make sure no air was in the system and I believe this bent my valve. I now have a massive leak through the barrel and it wont hold air. Do you have the v2 valve installed (which is thicker) or any other modification that allows you to dry fire it?
Hi mate love the channel tell my local gun shop if you dont like it neither do i haha. For precise accuracy at 50m what pcp would you recommend for bench rest ?
Hi great video as always. I'd like to pick your brains if that's ok I've been shooting for a long time and I'm a springer shooter but I've got my first PCP today a daystate wolverine r ( used ) it's a great gun and very accurate the only issue with it it's only doing 10.5 ft lb with bsa goldstar 8.64gn I would have thought it would have been slightly higher is there anything I can do ( never worked on a pcp ) to increase the fps to increase the ft lb. Many thanks in advance phill
if you try 10.34 pellets it will be much closer to 12lbft if it's still a bit low have a look on the Daystste youtube channel there is a vid on the wolverine which will help 👍👍
Hi geoff / Jake I've tried heavier h&n baracuda match @ 10.65gn the power is now 10.9 ft lb so not much difference from the 8.64gn the reg is set at 120 bar could the hammer spring need a tweek and is it something I could do myself Many thanks in advance Phill
@@sub12airgunners hi guy's that's great thx for your reply. Just one more question if I may to remove the safety catch to get to the anti tamp bar to be able to make adjustments do I have to degas the gun first or is it something that can be done while gassed. Many thanks in advance phill
the ping is often the valve return spring resonating, a simple delrin slip ring on the ends of the spring can make a big difference to this the cylinder guns sometimes need a baffle in the cylinder 👍👍
Do you still have eBay store?,im trying to get a part you made for the fx dreamline.I’m getting aluminum shavings under my trigger from the two parts hitting each other.
@@sub12airgunners I really want one!,im communicating with fx now about the problem, they could fix this with a part like youve made.please consider making some as I’m sure other dreamline owners are having the same problem.thank you.

Love watching your videos but unfortunately they're all out of my price range. Any chance of modding an smk cp2. I'm sure you could ring every ounce of power and accuracy from it
Don’t think the guys would do it on the grounds of power. Every project they have ever done has been all about accuracy. They only ever look at power if it’s effecting accuracy ( which will always be about delivering consistent power levels). Being co2 and unregulated doesn’t really sit with their interests. ( but I could be wrong !)
Well done Jeff. Do you write down what you are going to say or just commentate as you go along? Your commentary is seamless.👍👍
A bit of both really we don't write it all down but we do make notes 😁😁

Great video Jake ,the new barrel absolutely transformed that rifle and it is now everything it should have been out of the box.
Thanks Martin 👍👍

Thanks Lee 😁😁

Amazing strip down with so many parts to deal with. I’d be ok taking everything apart - putting it back together might not go so well! 😂

it's a lot of trouble in the UK to get a Fac so we do the vids on the sub 12 as that's what most people have 👍👍
Awesome 👍

Thanks for the great video. Tell me, is it possible to remove the pressure regulator without dismantling the trigger?
yes you have to remove the guard but the reg will come out 😀
very informative, Great video guys 👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it!
Mine dumps all air out the barrel I’ve replaced valve seat and houseing and oil and all o rings and it still pours out of barrel any ideas?
it's the valve in some way, have you tried backing the hammer spring off and seeing if it still leaks 👍👍
Great, precise explanation, but I own an EDGUN MATADOR LONG rifle. Please make a video of how to disassemble it, if you please. Thank you very much.
it is on the list of guns to do 👍
