A remake or rerelease of the first game on the switch that is properly advertised would be easy money.

We need more people talking about Chibi-Robo on this platform, I can't do it alone! Nice work, I really like your video style. :)

Just finished 100%ing the first game last month, best sound design in any game ever. Honestly as much as I love the game I don't really trust nintendo with the property anymore but I'd love to see an indie studio explore the basic concepts.

yea Nintendo needs to actually take care of the franchise and stop outsourcing games to 3rd parties

@@displayland1988 Chibi Robo was made by Skip, a company that works for Nintendo. Chibi Robo is Skips mascot, problem is Skip is dead.
The good news is that the creator of Chibi Robo Kenichi Nishi made Moon: Remix RPG Adventure on Switch.

I've always had a love hate relationship with Chibi-Robo photo finder. It has the best visuals and controls in the series ( You can freely run and jump with buttons! ) the game had cleaning, helping characters with fun, fleshed out minigames, but my main issue, was how they had these fleshed out rooms, but you couldn't freely explore them! You could only explore desks, counters, and tables! Also, Mr. Curators bedroom is completely inaccessible and only shown during cutscenes, and the boat is only explored through a racing minigame. The only room that let's you freely explore is the patio.... Also, there was a dlc room where you could compete in sharing your nostaljunk online and rate other people's nostaljunk for prizes, like exclusive dlc costumes. There was a cutscene that played where Mr. Curator talked about how he opened the museum and stuff, as he looked at a portrait of himself on the wall. The room had a window with blinds, white wall with the portrait on the back wall, blue carpet, a door on the wall behind you, a small table with flower vase in back left wall, and the display case in the center. It was also the only room in the game where the game ran at 60 frames per second due to how small it was and had exclusive music. The dlc costume I had was like a Arabic looking outfit.

@@displayland1988 Yes, it was only early in the games life. They didn't hold too many of these nostaljunk challenges

I recommend Rocket Knight Adventures: Re-sparked!, and Bot Vice there like Star Fox Assault in 2d.
There's an upcoming game called Antonblast, it's very Wario Land inspired.
I recommend Fast RMX as a F-zero alternative.

Someone made a translation patch for the DS sequel game, there's silly small errors in text but it's very playable. I think it makes really good use of the DS features, and I had a lot of fun. I'm still much fonder of the original GC game, but if you can find the patch online, I recommend trying it out!

I would consider myself a pretty big Chibi-Robo fan, and I'd never seen that demo footage! Very interesting!
I wish so badly that they would go back to the basics of the first game. I played the GC game, Park Patrol, and Photo Finder as a kid, and nothing lived up to the first game. I think it has what it takes to be among Nintendo's more "cult classic" niche franchises like Pikmin and Metroid, if Nintendo were willing to pour into it at just the right time. You know, get the treatment Dread and Pikmin 4 got.

      This franchise has the potential

Wow I've never heard of photo finder either, I'll have to check it out. The only one of these games that I've played is Zip Lash and tbh it's a pretty cute and unique platformer (that is nothing like the rest of the series). I wonder who decided to make it because fans didn't want a spinoff and people who like the gameplay won't find more of it in the other chibi robo games.
It reminds me of Metroid Prime Federation Force and Hey Pikmin, but at least those franchises would eventually get new games on the switch...
