it's been a long time since I financed a car, but I remember on the insurance application I was asked if I planned to use the car for personal use or a business. That makes a difference.
I’m paying $220 for only 2cars full coverage 2016 Lexus rx350, and liability for 2008 Toyota Tacoma , absolutely good driver no ticket no accidents since 2015. But still paying high .
It is not a technicality.. to conduct a business..you have to act diligently and in good faith and comply with all the legal requirements taken care of..otherwise guess what ? YOU are gonna be in the loop for the bill if something goes wrong.. this is what judy means with "clean hands" . you cannot bring any claim whatsover in front of a court for something that ocurred while engaged in illegal business.. the same way you cannot sue your dealer for bad cocaine.
Right and it sounded like he needed the money, so I highly doubt she caused 5k worth of damages, I would’ve wanted to see proof that it actually costed that much.

A friend of mine had to recover a vehicle from his sister-in-law as it wasn't paid in a few months. The bank charged the back payment plus the additional full coverage insurance they added during that time. It wasnt cheap.

Not messed up at all. He was breaking the law, in not one but two different ways. He's lucky she didn't get injured; she could have sued and won. If you don't want to take the full responsibility for having a car accident, have insurance. (Hopefully) Let's say you work as a security guard at a bank. A guy comes in to rob the place, with a gun. He's running out the door, you trip him and he falls through the glass. Do you think he should be able to sue you and get rewarded?

She's right about the insurance thing, but giving people rides and even loaning people your car is not an illegal business. I work with people who pay their friends & co-workers for rides all the time. Gas is expensive. That doesn't make the car owner an illegal business owner. One young woman borrows her friend's car from time to time, & gives her money to do it. It covers gas & wear & tear on the car. That doesn't mean her friend is now running an illegal business.

His liability insurance will pay for the damages to the other driver. I doubt there was much damage on his car. The best thing to do is split the cost to fix his bumper. If a person rents a car, they have to buy rental insurance from the owner, or provide their insurance policy numbers to the owner of the rental. Clearly the renter of the car didn’t pay rental insurance to the owner, nor did she have a car or a car insurance policy or anything else. So she was in the wrong two times as well. Split the cost on the bumper and never rent your vehicle out again.
i drove a car when i was young no licence no insurance no tax i am now 67 and i look back on that as one of the most stupid and irresponsable things i have ever done. as JJ often says a car is capable of killing people, its a potentail leathal weapon you just have to not be paying attention for a second and it could all become a nightmare. ps i went one to pass my test and then i took an advanced driveing course, i recomend everyone to do that as it teaches you about driving in a much better way and you get a reduction on your insurrance that will cover the cost of the course.

If you buy the car outright, you can have whatever insurance you want. If you’re financing or leasing the car, the terms will depend on your agreement with the financing company. Many do require full coverage insurance.

The only problem that I believe the male maybe(?) at fault for fixing the car if driver of his car are at fault and because he did not have full coverage on his car to pay for such accident/s that may happen to his car and or other persons car of which maybe responsible to fix↗if driver of his car were at fault.↗ But; the male doesn't have to let some other people in on his business to make money off of his business; meaning the male can let persons borrow his car and or he can loan out his car and or he can rent out his car to other person/s is really his own business that some unfair and unreal people want in on to make money by his legal business. ⏩↗ A drug dealer or not a drug dealer can't bring anyone to court; they have to bring the person/s of which have a legit legal problem about that's worth bringing into court or take a loss knowing that their dealings to trade were not by force, but, a fair trade for unfair or unreal business reason/s.
