      When we were going to fly back from Britain to the US, our friend who was with us started to give the British border people a hard time because she had opened a jar of jam and wanted to take it out to the US. I watched this for about a minute and stepped in. I told the people that she owned a travel business and knew ALL the rules! My advice: speak when you’re spoken to, and be honest. This is NOT a game, it is law. All countries you enter have the same or similar laws.

    • @delawarecop
      @delawarecop 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If a $10,000AUD limit was introduced under Law in 2006, then using the RBA Inflation calculator on the official Australian Government website would indicate that the same $10,000 limit of 2006 'EQUIVALENT VALUE' should now be set to $15,600+ AUD in 2023/24.
      This would indicate that craig was not in fact carrying excess cash at $13,500 AUD in 2023/24.
      This highlights the difference between the Spirit of the Law and the letter of the Law.
      The letter of the Law condemns, but the Spirit of the Law reveals the truth in all things.
      What is the hidden truth?
      Under mismanagement of the economy by the Australian Government, the AUD has plunged in 'value'.
      In the last 18 years it now requires 33% more cash to buy the same thing of 2006.
      So intelligent criminals still money launder by wearing Gold as personal jewellery items, like 900mm 24kt necklace worth $20k AUD.
      Back in 2006 this same necklace was only worth $5kAUD, so I could buy 2 of them for $10k AUD, and today they would be worth $40k AUD.
      Gold can be easily melted down and made into ingots of varying sizes to exchange for cash anywhere on earth.
      So Australian Customs Laws are really only designed to legally steal legitimate money from hard working citizens, not international crime syndicates.

    I was at the Frankfurt airport and a man was yelling at a woman at the ticket counter and she apologized for some mistake. But he kept it up and security showed up.
    It got out of hand and the security people had a maneuver where they got him on the ground and handcuffed in less than 15 seconds.
    Once in the Berlin Airport, happened a while ago, when I was traveling in the army, some cop came up to me and asked me if I could my carry down. I complied.
    He swapped it with something and apparently it came up negative and he thanked me for my cooperation. I was coming out of Heathrow once. I had no problems except they confiscated my toothpaste.

    Australia should pass a law that if you are disrespectful to Border Security they should be able to deny entry or delay that entry for up to 12 hours. If the citizen is Australian they cannot deny entry but they should be able to delay entry for 12 hours. That would certainly teach passengers to treat these agents with respect; they are only doing their jobs.

    • @slwide7507
      @slwide7507 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Most of these passengers spend 15-20 hours onflight and are tired, want to go home and with their families soon. It is true that border agents do a difficult job but, they should be prefessional at the same time because it is the nature of their job. Therefore, no passenger should be subjected any form of undue delay at the border.

    Why is it when attractive young women are smiling and pleasant, they are deemed to be "flirtatious" and not simply friendly as we would likely label a man? It's really tiresome. Would it have been better if she was unsmiling and surly with the security staff? There is still such a lot of chauvinistic nonsense women have to deal with, even when we think we've made some progress.
