  • A few notes on the drone footage in this film. 1. Nolan is a very skilled pilot who kindly shot most of the drone footage seen in the film. 2. We DID NOT illegally fly inside national parks. There are a few clips that were shot right outside the national parks and were edited together in a way that might be deceptive but were done to better convey the narrative of the film.
    This is a video I think many of you have been waiting for a long time. We have been itching to go to Moab ever since we moved to Utah. We were lucky enough to have our great friends, the Silvius', come out and join us for this monumental trip. We finally took the Sequoia to Moab and yes, we even do a little off-roading.

      I agree, being involved in the gambler community I have seen quite a few 2wd econoboxes take on some interesting trails.
      Well that and having been in the Subaru community as long as I had been (2000-2015 but a lot of my friends are still involved and still expect me to show up at events and such lol) I have seen many a old school Subaru do some sketchy stuff as well including a few of my own lol.

    More please! More off roading videos please! Your Sequoia can do so much more. I'm jealous of you location. One day I'd like to make the journey out west, but with a job that provides little time off, and a family to provide for, the time to do it is hard to come by. So I'm living vicariously through you guys. My girls are 12 and 10 and we hope to hit some national parks with them before they move out of the house one day. We almost bought a first gen Sequoia but went with a LX470 instead. I still search for Sequoias from time to time. Other than its offroad prowess the Sequoia might be a better family rig than ours. I do wish we had more space.

      . I'm also a Sequoia owner that lives in Ogden Utah and enjoys taking their modded Sequoia to Moab to run trails. My Sequoia is basically just lift and bigger tires (no lockers) with an off-road bumper for clearance and I was in Moab 3 weeks ago and did both Fins and Things as well as Hell's Revenge. I had a blast and those 2 trails rank in the top 5 of all the trails I have done in Moab. You should definitely hit them up the next time you're there!!

    Am in Georgia enviously watching this expedition on Monday morning Valentines Day and am loving it.
    QUESTION: Do you have rear locking ARB LOCKERS? If not, why?

    • @TheFraziers
      @TheFraziers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No lockers for us. The reason is pretty simple: they’re expensive and we haven’t really ever needed them. We installed a long travel rear suspension set up and frankly the sequoia seems to never lose traction. I can honestly say we’ve never done a trail where a locker would have made a difference. If we ever do more difficult trails, we also have ATRAC that is decently effective also.

      Awesome. Thanks for taking your time and answering my question. It was very helpful and you definitely saved me $$$$ from buying them. Am in Georgia and we don't have rugged terrain here to justify a 1500$ purchase/install.
      I also like your humble/modest approach on things - its more realistic and gives the average Joe a sense of hope and motivation.
      The Mall Crawlers down here with their expensive Jeeps can be very discouraging and intimidating to an aspiring overlander.
