Another way to get around lo-res backgrounds is to use something like Topaz-Ai to enlarge the whole image to higher res.

Topaz is a great suite! Sometimes I'm trying the super zoom feature into "neural filters" already in PS, not bad...

I think you can buy a subscription for photoshop alone but you can't do a one time purchase

You kept the vehicle foreground (snow) and replaced a snowy background with another snow background. It's not exactly impressive. Try replacing a vehicle background without keeping the foreground and you're going to have a much harder time getting it to look decent.
