Kabar BK3 Becker Tac Tool. The KA-BAR Becker Tac Tool is designed for the needs of the Tactical Officer. Tac Tool's smash, bash, pry, hammer and cut. When you leave the battering ram at the door, the Tac Tool gives you a fistful of handy power. The sheath is ambidextrous and is compatible with most tactical belts and LBE systems. I bought the BK3 in April 2019 and have been trying differing techniques to get it sharp and from what I've found online, the only way is to get a professional to put a re-purposed edge on it. Everything I've tried goes dull quickly or just doesn't cut; it doesn't cut wood, it smashes through it very poorly. The serrations aren't bad and sharpen up nicely. One company I spoke to in Australia told me I was better off giving him a piece of new steel with handles on it and he could get it sharper than the chisel grind on this waste of space.
For those who want to point out it is a "Tactical Tool"; I can't even pry open my back door when it swells from the rain and humidity with this useless hunk of metal. I use my Buck 653N tanto blade and it works every time!
I've had no success getting the "cord/rope" cutter sharp; it struggles to cut basic cheap cord.
All in all over 30 years of buying survival/bushcraft equipment this has to be THE biggest waste of money and MOST disappointing purchase. For those who really like it, no disrespect but you might want to shop around and not believe the BS internet hype from people who have just bought it and haven't put it to work; 10 months of wanting/willing this product to be great and it continues to disappoint every time I use it.
Finally the BK3 I have came from the Australian Ka-Bar/Becker supplier so it isn't a cheap Chinese copy etc.

Unless you actually demonstrate using it and putting it to the test, it isn't a review, it's an infomercial.

I bought one to use for bushcraft camping and it is very dull outta the box. I was hoping someone would have a video showing how to sharpen and use for fire starting.

Looks great, built like a fricken' tank. I prefer a 'pointy' knife though. Why can't Ka Bar give us a decent sheath like this one for the BK 7?!..
