this knife is not ment for wood chopping and batoninh ect. its ment for urban and tactical situations when you need to pry open a door or smash a window

Have you considered sharpening both blades then conduct another review? I think the results would change.

Just pointing out the obvious. It called a tac tool for a reason. The tac tool is designed with specific uses.

I use this knife for basically exactly what you’re trying to do right there but what you have to remember is it’s not meant to do that so what you need is a fresh green piece not some hardened old piece or go right to that branch that’s there by your left hand at like seven minutes and 30 seconds in the video all you gotta do is just chop into the end of that piece once right and then put it with that piece of wood that’s in your fucking hand you have to split the wood laterally, not horizontally and yes, that’s annoying, but it actually works pretty damn well, and if I’m out in the woods and carrying a saw that thing and a small hatchet

It is a tac tool not a woods tool. I sharpen every blade when they arrive.

Thanks for the review....there are few reviews of the BK3 in action. The chopping demo convinced me NOT to get a BK3.
Can you change the title of your post to indicate that you include a comparison of Tac Tool and the BK9? You'd multiply your views by a factor of 10.

when he's cutting into the big log it looks like he's using a lot less force... from my stand point

The bk3 is an urban tactical tool not an outdoors bushcraft knife.

WHY is there a 5 inch deep belt loop ?
    Simple . . .
it is a safety feature, survival items like this tac tool are designed for rugged unknown environments...
95% of the population are right handed, knives are worn on the right hip 95% of the time...
if you are moving in rugged or uneven terrain or walking the woods at night and slip backwards, if your belt loop is RIGID then when the KNIFE sheath hits the dirt BEFORE you fall on your arze over teet backwards.
your ENTIRE body weight DRIVES that rigidly held knife sheathe STRAIGHT upwards Along the side of your body, PHYSICS says that FORCE must END somewhere, many soldiers or outdoorsmen or women have found out where . . .
That one inch pommel of your knife follows your flexible belly UPWARDS till it CRUSHES your Right LOWER Ribs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Directly under those right ribs is your highly vascular LiVER ; it is literally slashed by your razor sharp broken rib bones...
I think if you are a long way away from an Emergency Operating Room; i think you can see where this is going . . .
If you cannot well well over 20 years as an practical experienced Advanced Paramedic . . . DEAD...
NEVER Strap a LONG knife tight to your body and a leg loop will delay the TIP of the sheath hitting the dirt B4 your arze if you fall the wrong way.
I NEVER ever buy a sheath unless it has at LEAST three inches of " play " in the belt ' loop ', this allows the knife to glide ALONG the outside of your body and NOT Break Ribs that literally KiLL You from UNTREATABLE internal bleeding due to a ripped part bleeding Liver.
THAT iS Why many knives have HUGE Belt - Loops , to stop you turning an adventure in the woods or where-ever into a life and Death struggle...
I am an Aussie ; so Man-Up , or Female - UP and put up with some annoying discomfort, it is MiNOR iF you wear a leg loop like i do sometimes. The knife has less ability to " swing " to irritate your delicate sensibilities. THE WIDE Belt - LOOP is simply to reduce your risk of dying prematurely.
TRUST me when i say this " Mother - Nature " ' WROTE THE BOOK ' on " Survival of the fittest. "
I have personally seen over one hundred times when Mother - Nature decides some person was to dumb to remain in the Human Gene - Pool ! ! !
I am also a Survivalist and SHTF Prepper ( Rank = Hobbyist ONLY ) but i KNOW why WIDE belt loops are featured on Quality knives ! ! !
    Prepare for the Worst - & - Hope for the Best ! ! !
bk2 , bk3 , AK47, Benchmade assist open knife ;dual wield 16 inch machete knives...
    > > > Rocket to invade Mars ; seriously THOSE Martians R F*cked ; Game Over ! ! !
    / Hugz ;)

you put way too much into this for me to even care about reading it, I reviewed this knife 2 Years ago its a great knife but I was simply trying to explain I like the Bk9 more. This knife is great and still does great today. but I would take my bk9 over it any day.

@@bushmanoutdoors9796 LoL, ok so you learned nothing by not reading my review LoL :) since you love your bk9 and have no idea you need more info to make quality reviews please place that sort of disclaimer on your next review ;) but hopefully smart people will learn something by reading about why wide belt loops are important . . . oh and BTW a bk3 and a bk9 have nothing in common as to their utilitarian usages so awesome choice for comparisons ! ! !
