Happy Thanksgiving To Steve and Molly ! Been working on oil burners for decades the older ones until the waterjacket leaks beyond repair & adding dry or wet additive sealing products will last forever by just changing the wearable parts. Not rocket science like Steve says, Ha! How simple the old ones are is amazing .New systems with too much electronics are prone to problems Ill stay with the crusty ones they are easy fixes ,LOL!.......
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🦃 Steve and Miss Molly!!!!! My 2003 Leakham is still running good thankfully. Hopefully it doesn't live up to its name anytime soon.
Wonder where the water was coming from, seemed like it was more than condensation - - sometimes the fill signal pipe will rust through just at or below ground level, or if it's higher up, where it meets the foundation outside allowing rain water to get into the tank - but it will still work to signal when the tank is being filled so it can go unnoticed.
It’s not out of oil. It’s the OSV valve. It’s either closed or clogged. Get rid of it as long as the oil line is orange all the way from the tank to the burner.
7:26 she may be in tough shape, for as old as she is, still holding her own. I am glad we still have skilled tradesmen, such as yourself, to tend to these "Oldie but a goodies."
Hey Steve, how long does it take you to disassemble a 5-section boiler, clean the mating surfaces and reseal the boiler? Including cutting and replacing the rods that hold everything together? Is an angle grinder good enough to clean up the cast iron mating surfaces or do you need to send them to a machine shop to get them flat and smooth? I don't remember a video of you re-sealing one, how about it?
Steve, watching for years and still enjoy your video's. Learned so much from you and appreciate the work you do to put them out!
Happy Thanksgiving, Miss Molly & that side kick.
Happy Thanksgiving Steve & Molly 😊

Hello Steve Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving. That customer seems to want to set the world record for crustiest boiler.

Happy holidays! Man, it looks like you're working inside of a tomb Steve. I could almost smell the mustie old cellar. You got it going though.
Happy thanksgiving!!!
I’ve heard of people dumping their used motor oil in their tanks. You never know.

Bioslime not only protects the environment it creates opportunities for good businesses for maintenance
a new oil boiler will do wonders and it will be more energy efficient
it will probably be 30% better than the old oil boiler
You didn’t check why the relief was dripping?
It’s not out of oil. It’s the OSV valve. It’s either closed or clogged. Get rid of it as long as the oil line is orange all the way from the tank to the burner.

Another classic bio-slime episode. Good job Steve.

i would just replace the boiler with a new one .. no one in the right mind would do what your talking about doing .
I work at an oil company and can confirm that any company you ask to do that will tell you to replace the system.
Did you see Molly, she was just sitting there listening to you.
OWNER SHOULD SELL
Filter, nozzle, strainer. See ya later!
That entire basement is chusty
another crusty one
Send your congressman and senator all the filters that look like that and maybe they’ll get the message about the biodiesel.
Happy Thanksgiving
