@@rodrigocruz8548depends on what you have right now. If you have a 3nm belt driven wheel and you move to an 8nm direct drive wheel base. It’s a night and day difference. The fanatec is objectively better (price-performance wise and spec wise (I've made DIY racing wheels, I think I'd know about this a bit)) but the thing is so damn hard to come by, fanatec really need to up their shipping game.
I currently have a g920 with the shifter and pedals and I’m glad that it came with a clutch pedal but, it’s loud and I wish I could feel more details. So, I’ve done some research and watched some reviews and determined I’m gonna save up for the moza r5 bundle along with an extra pedal and a shifter.
The options in factory wheels and mostly positive reviews about how great fanatec gearbox is, made me pick Fanatec over Moza. For example the wheel you see in this video cost 130$ and requires a universal hub that seperate functional keys from wheel. I paid just 80$ at the time of purchase. So I paid 480$ for this wheel, hub, base and peddles.
just bought the Moza r5 bundle with the shifter, hand brake, clutch, and 2 table mounts. came out to $884 USD ($77 was shipping) it's expensive but a great deal if you already have shifter and hand break or don't need them.
My g920 is silent, no clacky sounds. Also why I disable ffb centering etc and got for a free wheel. No wobbles no tugging. last ages. Damn I'd take mine straight back with that sound

Actually g29 has also a silent mode if you reduce few thing. Some of them that makes the most noice are road and gravel effects disable them or have them at low setting 5 or 10%.
These kind of videos put me off buying a wheel for a while because logitech was the only decent looking wheel+pedal kit I could afford. Recently got it on sale new for $250, nervous that it was going to be unbearably loud. I don't know what is wrong with other people's wheels but mine is way WAY quieter than this. It is only a bit louder than the fanatec shown in this video.
wich game? wich platform? wich settings? mine doesnt make does clipping sounds. also i can suggest to upgrade the power supply to a 30v one. or 24v but with 5 Amps those motors pull more then the original supply will give them. thats why they often get faulty. and yes the 80$ tablestand compared to the rig is also a big factor.
You didn't mention though that the fanatec wheel Coast as much as the g293 with pedals 😂, and that g293 sounds like you used it as a soccer ball first 😂.

Sound proof pads? I don't think you're thinking of the right thing 😂. Acoustic tiles prevent sound waves bouncing around the room causing echos. That is for sound clarity not sound proofing. I never got to play it enough because it was loud. Here in USA, apartments are tiny and walls are hollow.. logitech noise is like hammering on some surface that can be heard and felt in entire apartment and for sure room exactly below.
@@TechyGondal Yeah I Guess its different. I live in central Europe and here we have pretty freaking thick walls. But I still don't think its that loud. Maybe the designs are different for the us? 🤔
Buy the thrustmaster t248 as your first wheel. It's awesome, and they put a belt around the gears to reduce noise and knock. Now I have the Moza R5.
my wheel...
This is also setting and mounting dependant for the g923.
Im currently using mine on the crew motorfest and it's silent provides good response and force feedback.
Fanatec is no doubtedly better though
I made the video because I was so much happy with the quality and feel of this wheel bundle and that too for 400$
Logitech has changed nothing for decades in the G series.. the product is the same and the price is same.. they should atleast cut the price..
In my opinion, Logic G923 shouldn't be more than 200$ new ..
@@TechyGondal Yeah I would rather have the Fanatec although getting some products like those to New Zealand can be very expensive.

Something is wrong with ur logitech 😂😂😂😂 mine doesnt make that noise or prob some behind him smahing keys on keyboard
You lucky. Its common😊
That's a normal noise for a g29, especially when off-roading in forza horizon for example like in the video
DD vs belt drive, also logitech have this thing called "Trueforce" where there is essentialy a controller rumble in the wheel so thats the noise
the logitech is gear driven and not belt driven, thats why it sounds like this
But the fanatec is like 500$
1000x better as well

Bros ussing a steering wheel in forza horizon
And the problem with that is exactly?
Its not worth plus extremely stupid, and funny enough, you get worse performance than using a controllee @@eriklemaitre3796
@@eriklemaitre3796 they're a weirdo who thinks they need to gatekeep and shame what people do with their own property and what games you're allowed to use a steering wheel for. They think playing a sim game with a steering wheel has some kind of prestige, and that a still realistic but fun game isn't "worthy," that's how pathetic they are. Just a loser with no life, 3 other no lifers as well who are terminally online. It makes them feel better about their terrible life, since they can constantly judge others online which makes them feel good, so they can ignore their own. @Extreminator69-that’s not being offended that’s a question.
So I paid 480$ for this wheel, hub, base and peddles.
just bought the Moza r5 bundle with the shifter, hand brake, clutch, and 2 table mounts. came out to $884 USD ($77 was shipping)
it's expensive but a great deal if you already have shifter and hand break or don't need them.
that wheel is sooooo nice and i would literally die for it
But if you die, you won't be able to use the wheel 🤔
i got my g29 wheel with shifter and pedals all for $120. literally last month. i’m more than happy with what i got!

man the difference is ridiculous 😂 i upgraded from a g29 (ps) to a thrustmaster T GT 2 and it’s so quiet, not as good as your wheel but it’s still brilliant 💪💪
the noisy one sounds more realistic to going that fast offroad
Logitech G29 put me off sim racing a few years ago, so glad i tried again and now have a Fanatec DD Pro.
Drifting a hellcat in mud in the crew motorfest is crazy 💀
Had the G923 for 12 hours then returned it and got the Moza R5. Now the only thing that rattles are the things on my desk.
When I first bought Logitech, I returned it same day and bought another Logitech.. thinking previous one was broken or something.. having never played sim racing nor having a friend who plays, the noise from Logitech was super strange experience for me at first.
Now DD are super affordable.. Logitech should be priced more than 200$ new in my opinion. Competition is cut throat now.

The cockpit wasn't flimsy, it looked minimalist but was rock solid. I have a complete picture of it on my community page..
Would have liked to see dirt rally 2.0 or assetto corsa rally mods for a better comparison. But geared drive is worth the money

Im so effing glad i bought a dd to replace my g25, sturdy things but noisey asf.
12 years old now, sounds like her bottom end is gone lol. Im shocked that a new one is just as noisey
I would consider the noisy one more realistic 😅
What a difference a couple hundred bucks will make compared to a $250 steering wheel
Dude... You can turn down the vibration in the settings and you still get the FFB minus the strong irritating jolts
My partner's never complained about the rig noise, can't throw her under a bus there.
But it's not my CSL DD making the noise. It's yelling/laughing/carrying on over discord. The aliexpress shifters clanking and the springs in my seat that you can hear from a block away 😂 Neighbours have given funny looks...
It’s the vibrations, turn it off there saved you 200 dollars 😂
There's a bit of a cost difference between the two setups 😅
The Logitech wheel has a gear inside that why it make sounds
Actually g29 has also a silent mode if you reduce few thing. Some of them that makes the most noice are road and gravel effects disable them or have them at low setting 5 or 10%.
These kind of videos put me off buying a wheel for a while because logitech was the only decent looking wheel+pedal kit I could afford. Recently got it on sale new for $250, nervous that it was going to be unbearably loud. I don't know what is wrong with other people's wheels but mine is way WAY quieter than this. It is only a bit louder than the fanatec shown in this video.
Do you knows that Fanatec is more expensive?
Yeah it is.. slightly expensive.
But if you want the gear box with it, then it is double the price.
Difference between direct drive (fanatec) and not
the magic of DD Wheels
Fun fact, a direct drive wheel has the power to break your wrist. Have a nice day =D
forgot to mention the additional 1600 for the rig and wheel/wheel base
Its common noise.
Logitech shouldn't release this Fault product. I put some grease inside Mine. Much better
I find the clank soothing.

Good enough for trucks.
The first one was obviously more realistic
You should do the logitech pro vs that fanatec
Logitech Pro is about 1000$
Fanatec CSL DD is 400$
2 years from now that fanatec is gonna be a broken rma mess. Logitech will be going strong.
The real move is to buy neither. Both are toy tier gear.
@@CharlieVictor212 Moza is strong option .. but for now Famatec is best bank for the bucks
If you turn the G29 settings up all the way then yeah it's going to do that
Nah bro this is actually crazy. I haven't used my g29 in a fat minute for this exact reason
wich game? wich platform? wich settings? mine doesnt make does clipping sounds. also i can suggest to upgrade the power supply to a 30v one. or 24v but with 5 Amps those motors pull more then the original supply will give them. thats why they often get faulty. and yes the 80$ tablestand compared to the rig is also a big factor.
In Brazil G920: R$ 1600,00
CSL DD: R$ 5000,00 used, new its like R$ 10.000,00 because of tax
You didn't mention though that the fanatec wheel Coast as much as the g293 with pedals 😂, and that g293 sounds like you used it as a soccer ball first 😂.

Fanatec cost the same as Logitech. 399$
The wheel in video is wrapped In Alcantara. It is an upgraded one. So I paid 480$ for my Fanatec setup, including the Pedals.

BRO changes his whole room so get sound proof pads to
Sound proof pads? I don't think you're thinking of the right thing 😂. Acoustic tiles prevent sound waves bouncing around the room causing echos. That is for sound clarity not sound proofing. To sound proof a room you would need to re do the walls, ceiling and floors. Including a fire door. Thick heavy fire door. Those acoustic tiles you see on amazon will do fuck all for sound levels or proofing. Though for clarity and recording it works wonders.
