Educated guess from how the last legends game was, I would guess new megas will be predominantly, if not exclusively, for new regional forms. That would also give them some lore reason as to why we haven't seen them before for however much that matters

@@anthonyxwrld we don't know until they announce. Just because Legends Arceus did it one way doesn't mean ZA will do it the same way. Also technically Acreus wasn't Sinnoh it was but wasn't at the same time so having different starters could make since. Whereas this is 100% Kalos with Lumoise City so it could make sense for them to have the Kalos starters but give them megas since they didn't have them in XY. But again we won't know anything until GameFreak announces it. If the game comes out early next year January/Feburary like Arceus we will probably get a 2nd trailer in the summer or fall.

Funny that they actually brought back mega evolution and it’s the most hyped the community has been about a game in a long time
I personally think that the theme of the Pokémon Legends "genre" isn't about the past but about different time periods. Legends ZA genuenly looks like a future and perhaps what we'll be getting will be future Pokémon and future megas that came from those future Pokémon interacting with a rebuild of the machine.

That's why it's called Pokemon Legends Z-A because its usually takes place before the original game comes up. The holographic presentation is just a blueprint for redeveloping the urbanize Lumiose City. The key words here we know it's before XY is the "A Vision of beautiful coexistence between people and Pokemon..." means that there are still conflict with the relationship if pokemon and humans. Modern eras are now getting along with pokemon but here it's to coexist. Also not a coincidence that they choose Kalos after Paldea because Paldea is a representation of Spain so it's near France which Kalos is based on. Not gonna be surprised if they mentioned Paldea and Galar (representation of UK) because they were in war before.
actually Paris, France got a redevelopment plan in the 1850s like literally they demolished many buildings and ended the redevelopment plan by 1889 by finishing the Eiffel Tower last. It's possible for a future Kalos but it wouldn't feel like Legends if it's like that to be honest.
I actually think this legends game may take place in the far future rather than the past. Just with the trailers whole futuristic vibe.
What new Mega Evos are y'all looking forward to?

Gen 5 isn't a DLC it introduced the most Pokemon of any gen and had four main games which is the most main games in any gen. Like that's literally as main game as any gen gets.

I started my journey in Kalos. I played Y as my first game. Beating Lysandre and his Mega Gyarados made me wonder what happened 3000 years before Y.
12 years after their release, and 3 years after I have first played it, ill get the answer i need
