Let me know if I’m on point with my comments and what your thoughts are on the ski. Also interested if you’ve experienced the lifting onto plane movement at around 25-30km/hr when accelerating
Mate I agree with the ST3 hull comments - once you hit a wake, you're going with it and almost need to fight it. I don't think I can have 2 people on a PX though and be comfortable. Best of both worlds if you own a PX and TX - lucky bloke !
@@livinginwake heck yeah man. Still wonder if I’m throwing too much extra money for the apex edition instead of getting a rxpx 300 but you only live once! Also getting a Kawasaki 310x ultra both 2023’s. That one will be more for the fam and friends to ride. Hopefully I’ll crank out some videos on Instagram
@@livinginwake what’s your final take? If you were to choose only one rxT/P which one will you go with? Not counting your necessary use of the platform for the drone on the rxT.

I have a small ramp up to my garage requiring a manual push. The Kawasaki may have been a little too much to reliably get up the slope 😂
Hi sir, thanks for your great videos, I have been waiting on this one to come out, as I would like to upgrade to a 300 sometime. I have the GTR 230 at present. I have a question on fuel economy. When in ECO mode how does the economy of the RXP-X compare to the GTR 230 at around say 60kph when touring. With the supercharger off I was thinking both would be much the same. I ride on Taupo a lot and love the video of that. Hope to join you next year. Thanks Garry
Hey Garry. Thanks for the feedback. Firstly you get another 20 litres of fuel in the 300’s, from memory. And if you are in eco and stay away from boost, it goes further in my experience. I’ve had the GTR230 and actually rode with someone today and had this exact discussion. You’ll go further on the RXP and the other ST3 300’s, if you’re not trigger happy 😆 if you are trigger down, it’s like watching the bank balance drain on a night out of beers 🍺
@@livinginwake Thanks for your prompt reply. You have pretty much confirmed what I was thinking. Going by the specs there is a 10 lt difference in the fuel tank compacity. 60lt up to 70lt for the RXP-X. Yes sport mode is great, like a lot of things, the more fun, the more it costs. I will be watching for more great videos and info, Cheers .
Depends entirely on how you ride it, if you are hooning around, you will see the gas go down. If you stay out of the boost, keep the super charger out of play, it isn’t bad. You can put it in eco mode, go quite a few kms, but limits it. For fishing, I’d go with the 170
@@livinginwake my goal is the rxp to play in the sea and one to fish and just sail , so i thought about the rxp and the trophy or the rxp and the rxt , so i can remove the fishing accessories and play with both when my friends visit me cousins and sailing on equal terms have two fun bikes and accessories for fishing.
I am going to Purchase my first Jetski, can’t decide between Kawasaki Ultra, RXP-x and Rxt-x, I will have passenger time to time (my kids), I own performance cars and I love and appreciate great handling machines, like Porsche and M cars, if I chose RXT-X Because of I dont want to scare my kids, do you think I will not be disappointed from handling perspective at high speeds?
Hi there! Great sport to get into. Thanks for reaching out. Hmm. Tough one. What conditions will you be riding in? Open ocean? Lakes? calm conditions or chop? Can give some advice from there
@@Herofmine probably because of the having kids on the back occasionally, and I’ll assume the lakes will be calmer when you’re riding. I’d go with RXT. It’s basically a sport version of GTX. Super stable at low speed or at idle. So better for getting multiple people on too. If you’re in chop or wake, dial up the nose so it’s high and just be mindful. You’ll just have more input on the handlebars. You’ll love it!
@@livinginwakeso end up picking up Rxt x300 last week, and put some 5 hours, our lakes had lots of chop, cant find smooth lakes like on your videos, but it was fun for sure! What setting is best for chop?
RXP is really a single person ski. You can have one on the back, but I don’t like to ride dual on it. RXT is really much more comfortable with a passenger. If you’re looking for something that can have a passenger, I’d go with RXT
T3 preferred for tracking through chop/wake. Doesn’t wander. ST3 not good in that area, but you get used to it. ST3 hull softens the blows a bit better however. Have to say I prefer the RXP hull over RXT. Check out my RXP vs RXT comparison vid. I cover it a bit there
We work in litres and Km over here. I reckon you get around 180km if you’re riding easy on throttle in eco. You put that in sport and I’d say it would much much less :)
I prefer the RXTX or GTX Limited over the RXPX. I've owned all 3 and here's my real world experience. The RXP is great for fast turns and really throwing the ski around. That's great if you live on a lake but that's not where I live. The RXT and GTX Limited is a much better all around ski. You can still throw it around but more importantly, it handles the open ocean 10 times better than an RXP. My RXT and GTX Limited are also faster than my RXP. I sold the RXP and have zero regrets. I wouldn't buy it again.
Thanks for the feedback. It’s interesting, I prefer the RXP in the open ocean for its tracking, but it doesn’t soak up the bumps like the RXT did. I do miss the RXTs stability with two on the ski too. But I must say I prefer the RXP overall. Both awesome skis. Glad you’re enjoying your skis
