"Mmmmm... it's Country. It sounds Country to me. Mmmmmm... it's not... I'm not feelin' it, man! I'm not feelin' it!" (2:23) "Mmmmmmmeeeehhhhh... Uuuuuhhhheeyyyeeeh... nnnnaahhh... It's written all over my face what I'm gonna say." (3:58) God, I love when you do these expressive vocalizations, sighs, and facial movements to express your displeasure with a song. So damn entertaining, Seph. I literally smile and laugh out loud. This is what makes your reactions so good.
OMG!!! When I first heard this song I didn't think much of it, it was like any other slow love song. But when the breakup with my loved one was unstoppable this was the song I listened to on repeat.😢 It will always be a special sad song of lost love for me. I rank this song very high, it spoke to me and still does. Elvis has a way of getting through my defenses like no other and I love him for it.❤
Another one for the ladies. No specific name mentioned, so everyone can dream. I kinda like it. This was the evening when Elvis' special mic turned out to be lost/stolen. He had to use another one and was not impressed. I can hear the difference in the sound when listening to the whole album, because when it gets to Girl Of Mine I always have to turn up the volume due to the tinny sound.
What I want to know, now that you've reached 1973, is when are you going to be reacting to the live songs he did on the 'Aloha from Hawaii' satellite show, since it was performed in January of 1973?? I've been patiently, but excitedly, waiting to see your reactions to these 😃
Just a party pooper comment but titles already done ONCE by Seph include Fever, What Now My Love, Johnny B Goode, Suspicious Minds, Burning Love just off the top of my head and there may be more.
A bit old fashioned but I like it - much more than I did 40 year ago. Suppose as you get older certain songs appeal to you more (unless they're crap like Three Corn Patches lol)
I really like this song a lot. The tune, the beat, all good. His voice sounds a little different, not top quality. Maybe the instruments were faulty? But the song is still good. It's The Elvis! ⚡
There's a much better alternate take of this song Seph. Much clearer and sung even better! I hope you'll get to hear that eventually cos I thought nothing of this song until I heard the unreleased (at the time) alternate take!😀♥
I stick by this comment I made 2 months ago Seph. When you come to reacting to 'alternate takes of Elvis songs you'll find that THIS one and many more are SO much better than their originals!🥰
It's a sweet slow dance country song. Does it make my heart flutter? No. But does it make me smile? Yes. So for me C rank. Probably on the lower end of C rank. Haha! Yeah I could tell you were not feeling it almost immediately. You might want to give these two songs a go: 1: "My Girl" The Temptations 2: "Guess Who" The Righteous Brothers There are a lot of great songs recorded by those two groups. But the two I listed here are the two very non- country songs that this one reminded me of, message wise. A guy is in love with a girl and seeing her gives him sunshine on a cloudy day and the feeling of May when it's cold outside and gives him a sweeter song to sing than all the birds in the trees. The girl might be oblivioius to his love for her and does not know that he does the things he does for her to get her to trust him with her heart. The above is taken from the two songs I listed. My Dad was a huge Motown and Righteous Brothers fan so I grew up listening to all that stuff and too a lot of other different other kinds of music, like Polish Polka music and Big Band/ Swing (thanks Grams). Low- key, I'd like to take swing dancing lessons some day. I have always thought it looked like such fun. If I email you a link to a Swing Dancing number would you react to it Seph? It features the late great Jean Veloz who kept on swing dancing well into her 90's. She passed away not that long ago. Anyways, rambling and on things nothing to do with Elvis. I know. I've been slacking. But at some point I will circle back and give info on these songs. I just cannot say when. I refuse to make promises I can't keep. Just a suggestion. I know you did a reaction to the rehearsal version of "Mary in the Morning". I'd love to see you hear the whole song by reacting to the studio version.
Not a favorite, but not bad. I am not a country music fan (except when Elvis sings it). This one is just kind of "meh". Thanks, Seph. I agree with your comments. ❤❤❤
- - - - - you're in the thick of it now, not only is this the slow period in the mid 70s, but this is likely elvis' least liked (often forgotten) albums of the 70s. Although the Adult Contemporary phase doesn't stop until Moody Blue in 4 years, there are a lot of gems here & there sprinkled throughout the 70s.... Way Down, Pledging My Love, Promised Land, Trouble, etc. Often reviewers vow to react to every elvis song, usually when they have had a great experience with his hits. But I would not suggest it for most people, my strategy for them is to check out his Greatest Hits (those in the top 40 Pop Chart (not country). Then start moving into obscure music.
Wow! Talk about an [18+] when you say it's kinda steam? Anyway I know what you're thinking 🤔 and I agree Seph it's kinda boring (or in this case) what you said: Meh!.

👑✌️
I love this song also ❤
Yes, i agree! It‘s not bad, but it’s ELVIS!❤❤❤
Above stranger in my own home town? reconsider that song men, stranger has got ot go way up in the list
I really like this one ❤
Vocals were recorded with a subpar microphone. Elvis got angry and left because of it. That’s why the vocals sound kinda muffled.

Not on my playlist. But still ok. It's elvis.❤

i have had a sneaky peek at my list. And i can tell you that theres a small handful of songs that i will be reacting to from that live concert :D
@@gorse9030 Oh no 🙄That's a pity. He hasn't done 'American Trilogy' yet, though, has he 😉😊
@@SephPlays Thanks. That's great. I can't wait 🥰
I actually like this song better than the last one - so hit me! 😛

Going against the grain here. I really like this one!
Me too, Kathi!

Usually l agree with u Seph but l love this song l cry everytime l hear it thank u for sharing bit this time l think ur wrong
Could have been a massive hit if it had been done "Chas 'n' Dave" style, a missed opportunity perhaps!
Just a suggestion. I know you did a reaction to the rehearsal version of "Mary in the Morning". I'd love to see you hear the whole song by reacting to the studio version.
That’s my favorite Elvis song. At the very top of my list.
It’s even with Three Corn Patches ughhh😢
Ah Seph - so sad you didn't like this one - very much a pop/country song- it's a nice song but not the best of songs 🎶💙🎵
Not my favorite...still love The Elvis.❤
Not in my top 25 of his 1973 studio recordings so agree with you Seph, no magic.
I think girls listen to these songs with a different agenda than you. 😂😂❤❤
Hate this one too 😂
I dont want to be negative, but🤔

It's Ok but wouldn't be on my Playlist. ❤
Come on. It’s not realy special, but it’s sweet.
I Miss You is a better song, don’t skip it.
Wow! Talk about an [18+] when you say it's kinda steam? Anyway I know what you're thinking 🤔 and I agree Seph it's kinda boring (or in this case) what you said: Meh!.
Not a bad song....better than one or two of his not so "special" songs.
Nice but not the best elvis song I've ever heard
Kinda low-grade filler
Yo considero que Raised On Rock es su peor album de los años 70s.
This song is terrible. Trite. Vocal terrible. Lyrics are cliched. Arrangement terrible. Sounds like it should be on Hee Haw.
Meh!
